Gameplay 1e - The Maiden's Kiss

"We understand Micel. These are dark times indeed and you're right to distrust strangers. You mentioned earlier of a Devil's Mistress? Care to tell us more?"

"Dark time, indeed," Gavrel echoes, nodding along.

When you mention the Devil's Mistress, he crosses himself and mutters a prayer for deliverance.

Uhoh, that bad? Gerald says upon seeing Micel cross himself. This mistress....she has soldiers, you said?

Micel crosses himself three more times, and mutters more prayers, but he nods in answer to your question.

Emma looks at Micel, "I know it's difficult, but what can you tell us of the mistress and her soldiers?"

He refuses to talk about the matter. No matter how hard you try, you just can't get past his suspicion that there's a chance you work for "her". But he will give you directions to her castle.

Gerald senses they've reached a dead-end. Can you tell us how to get to her castle then?

Micel does. It's a long walk, nearly a day to get there, through the countryside.

Slightly annoyed at Micel's reticence, Emma sighs "Do you have any horses or guns or supplies that we can take with us?"

Ataan reminds Shaughnessy that the area might not be well equipped for such things.

Micel says you might be able to buy a horse or two of you ask around, maybe farmer Haliscu. But people have been hoarding guns and are unlikely to part with them for any reasonable price.

Horses would be good. Why don't we go find this Haliscu?

Gavrel nods, "I would love a horse. All of this walking is hard on my old bones."

After dinner, the evening is growing dark, but you go for a walk to the neighbors farm. He does have horses. He'll sell you them, for £3 each (or the local equivalent), plus £0.75 for a saddle, bridle, and reins.

The horses seem like they're in good condition, and he assures you they're saddle trained.

Were you interested in buying horses then? You would have enough funds to buy four.

Gerald runs his hand along the neck and whithers of one of the horses. I wouldn't mind having a nice ride like this. Whaddya say we buy some horses?

"Look at these beauts," Emma caresses the mane of one of the horses "I'd be down for buying one of the horses.
