fluglichkeiten says:
"So you have given up, how male of you! It is no wonder yours is the weaker gender!" she replied hoping to provoke him, "when I have Ilvara's head in my hands I will bring it back here to show you what a resolute heart can accomplish!"
The drow scoffed in disbelief and said, "We'll talk then."
scotash says:
"Are they likely to help or hinder us? What do you know about them? Either way we have to make sure they don't get in our way"
"I have no interest in talking to these dark dwellers," Eldeth said, spitting on the ground. "But if you have a plan, I'm in."
OOC:
Eldeth appears eager to escape this prison and leave the underdark, although she is reluctant to work with those native to the Underdark. The male drow appears angry and withdrawn, and you suspect he may be withholding information.

Sure, you can insight check a PC. If Ardulaer is trying to hide something, flug can roll a deception check vs. scotash's insight roll. If Ardulaer has the higher value, then flug can go ahead and write whatever you want about what Braegar knows. If Ardulaer has the lower value, then flug has to write an honest description of what Ardulaer is feeling/acting like. If Ardulaer isn't trying to hide her intentions or anything, then flug can go ahead and just describe what Braegar can tell off of her without rolling.

@fernymerk You run your hands over the rope, testing its strength and construction. It feels well-made and sturdy, but you are unsure how much weight it can hold.

Disgusted at this poor excuse for a drow Ardulaer strides off towards the derro,

"Bupido isn't it? I know our people don't usually get along but for now we have a common enemy. If you can help me kill Ilvara you shall have my gratitude and I, Ardulaer of House Mae-ett, shall be in your debt."
Apr 23, 2016 7:15 pm
Buppido looked up at Ardulaer eagerly, and his mouth split into a wide grin at the mention of killing Ilvara.

"I will help you with anything you need," Buppido replied. "Anything at all."
Apr 23, 2016 7:29 pm
Ardulaer stopped stunned, she looked back at her fellow drow who had been so unhelpful, then again at this derro who was ready to risk all with no questions asked. She nodded in gratitude,

"Are you typical of your race?" she asks, then thinks better of it, "never mind. The first thing we need to do is get free of our bonds, do you have any ideas how we could accomplish that?"

"I wish I knew," Buppido said, tugging on his manacles in vain. "You look strong. Can you break them? Or, or, do you have a key?"

Buppido looked up at Ardulaer expectantly, his hands extended as if he was waiting for Ardulaer to break his chains in two.

Ah, so he is a typical derro.

"Don't worry, just be ready to follow my instructions when the time comes."
Apr 24, 2016 8:26 am
"Okay, okay, absolutely," Buppido replied. "So you have a plan, yes?"
Apr 24, 2016 9:23 am
She smiled at the simple little creature,

"I always have a plan."
OOC:
She's bluffing of course.

I was thinking I would wait a little while to see what others do next, don't want to make this the Ardulaer show.

The bard moved in closer to be more involved in the conversation. He found it interesting that the prisoners were so diverse. Janko was glad the lot of them started to conspire a plan.

"Im in on this plan, though killing on the way out isnt my forte."

He started to compare his physical status to the larger folk in captivity.

"I usually talk my way out of holes."

His headache sent a wince across his face. Barben turned to rub his temple without too much attention.

Braegar looks up when he hears Wilcome speak.

"Good, I thought I was going to have to pull out me Elvish again, it's a bit rusty. Suppose leaves me with the Orc. I'm Braegar by the way"

He holds out his hand to Wilcome

"I don't suppose you speak undercommon do you? We need as many people in as possible. What do you make of those two?"

He nods towards Janko and Ardulaer

OOC:
@fluglichkeiten Go ahead and make a Deception check.

@Valcos You test the strength and examine the construction of the rope, and you estimate that it might be able to lift approximately 250lbs before breaking.

Wil reaches out and accepts Braegar's hand.

"Pleasure to meet you. The name's Wil. And unfortunately no, I don't speak undercommon. As for those two? I'm making sure I keep my gaze on them at all times."
Apr 25, 2016 9:16 pm
"It's good to meet you Wil. Don't suppose you have any thoughts on getting out of her?"

"Well I suppose being able to move is at the top of my list. We need to find away to break these restraints. Full use of our limbs will be greatly beneficial in our escape."

"I would much rather have full use of a dragon or two than my inspiring biceps."

Janko chuckled as he began to try to wiggle his hands free.

Janko, if you're trying to slip out of the manacles, go ahead and make a Dexterity check.

I'll use our sleight of hand check as you attempting to slip out of the manacles discretely. Based on passive Perception, Wilcome, Braegar, and Ardulaer all see you. You do not know if the guards or other prisoners see you.

Based on your investigation check, you get a feel for the manacles, and you suspect that with enough strength or damage to the manacles, they can be broken. You having a feeling that you might be able to slip free of them if you can maneuver your hands well enough. There is a lock on the manacles that could be unlocked if you had the key or if you had lock picks.

Would Braegar know this or would he need to do an investigation check?
