I find the thought of blunt arrows hilarious :p

Psst... They still wouldn't really do blunt damage lol

Yeah I guess I can't shake off the old "blunt weapons work better against undead" mindset. :-D

Oh, it's a totally legit way to fight them (mechanically). It's just hilarious to think about: Removing the tip from your arrow makes it better at hitting skeletons? lol

"Blunt arrows: not just for Rastafarians!"

Blunt arrows have existed historically. Native Americans and used them, for example. They are simply arrows with a small weight, often a wooden ball or a rounded stone, instead of an arrowhead, at the end. Or course, such arrows tend to be less aerodynamic than normal arrows and do not fire as far.

I'm sure they were real, but they probably still wouldn't do much against a skeleton's DR, realistically

Probably not.

I thought Longbows threatened on 19-20. It turns out I'm wrong. :-P
The good news:
Now I remember why I was expecting the increased threat range: it's from his Bracers of Falcon's Aim, which gives him Aspect of the Falcon. So just as I thought, this shot actually WAS a crit!

The bad news:
I thought Aspect of the Falcon was always on, but now I've learned that IT'S NOT. :-( Honest mistake, I swear. My apologies. Edited my character sheet to note that it's a once-per-day feature.

Oh well, live and learn. That's a bit of a problem I had with D&D 3.5 and to some extent PF. At some point, your character has so many options available to him from race, class features, feats, and magic items, it's easy to forget a few...

Rolled a 1 on the fumble confirmation! @#$^%^!!!!
Aug 21, 2016 5:15 pm
Ouch... I'm seeing the bow slipping out of Ujayya's hand to smack him in the face...

What's the rule for possibly recovering spent arrows?
Aug 22, 2016 4:14 am
If its anything like D&D 3.5, any arrows which missed has 50% chance of breaking. Arrows which hit automatically break.
Aug 22, 2016 4:25 am
So roll percentile? Not sure how many shots I missed though.
Aug 22, 2016 11:43 am
I usually run it the way it works in 3.5. I'll roll a percentile for each arrow that was missed, then tell the archer how many he found.

You missed at least 2 shots by rolling 1s. :P
