Agreed, its a game. Its not real life obviously as people are throwing fireballs all willy nilly. I don't mind playing by the rules, just didn't know what the rule actually was per se. A -2 to damage isn't that big a deal, plus adversity is what makes the game fun.

onto question number 2, sickened is just a condition, meaning there is some underlying cause for it correct? Like a curse, or an illness or something that is making him feel sick?

Also...regarding the sickened condition...can Lesser Restoration take care of it? Or do I have to have "Remove Disease" to take care of it?

OOC:
@ Kaos: Well,it does seem like an illness, but is it really? You haven't really studied it as far as I know...

@ irvanovich: I don't know, will it? ;)

That only suppresses it for the duration of the spell and makes it harder to get (Despite what the name says, which is pretty silly). I think we are supposed to make saves against it every so often to see if we can get rid of it, but thats based on internet hear say and nothing i can find in the RAW.

Yeah, I've looked at that spell. It only suppresses it according to the rules text, and gives a bonus to the save DC against it. If it's an actual disease or curse that causes the sickness condition, you still have to use Remove Disease or Remove Curse to get rid of them (I think...don't think Lesser Restoration can get rid of it...)
Quote:
You quell feelings of illness and nausea in the target, giving it a +4 morale bonus on saving throws against disease, nausea, and sickened effects. If the subject is already under the influence of one of these effects when receiving the spell, that effect is suppressed for the duration of the spell.

That's dependent on whatever's causing the effect in question, really and truly...some diseases give you a check every day, some of them give you one every week, some of them get worse with every failed check. You also have to pass so many of them (some require 2, some 3, etc.) to "get better", unless you have a spell or something that can get rid of it. :)

My bad. What a weird hole in the rules.
Sep 6, 2016 8:48 pm
It's looking like i might just have to deal with it. Its a long term thing it seems. Somebody might ought to learn the remove sickness spell to start boosting everyone so you don't all end up this way, lol. But if we can ever get a nights sleep and some time i will attempt to figure this out in game, may not be that big a deal after all.

Ok so we need something to cure disease. Atleast to try.

My mercy can subdue the sickened condition for a while (1 hour per lay on hands). Other than that, I can't help though. Remove Disease isn't a paladin spell (it's a lvl 3 cleric spell)

I'll have access to it next level, but that'll be a minute.

Has Durgrim identified himself as a Lightbringer? If he has I missed it. Sorry, am sleep-deprived. :-P

The GM posted that we have seen his Lightbringer badge.

Also, someone should jog in front of Nyky and lead her the right way.
