GP statistics May 2021

Adam and I have had some fun with some statistics that we pulled from the website. Only user that has been active on the gamersplane.com with the last year are included

First the big one: Number of posts pr user

Number of games pr user

The number of characters a user has made. I'm seeing a pattern here Qralloq

How many posts have a user made divided by the days the user has been active. That gives us an average posts pr day

Distribution of the players that have marked their location.
The location data is very unstructured, so there is a bit more hit and miss here.

Gender distribution. There is a lot of players who have not defined their gender :/

Interesting. Does this data go back to when GP was first created, or is it back to a specific date?

I also wonder how many of those games were recruited for versus "shadow" games that either never get off the ground or people play through direct invites. There could be a fair amount of users that are never seen in a public fashion (on public forums or the Discord).

GP has consumed more and more of my time over these past 6.5 years. I enjoy it more as each day goes forward.

Reading this is also like typing /played in World of Warcraft: "3,000 hours? On one character? Gulp."

Now if only we knew how many of those 205 Savage Worlds games actually made it past character creation.

I am a little bummed to see there have only been 10 games of 7th Sea. That is a game I'd like to try out. Maybe I'll have to start one up myself when I get a chance.

I am surprised that 13th Age was the 3rd most used system. I am not sure what I would have guessed, but not that.

But man, this 'Custom' must be a great system. I need to check it out one of these days

It's universal, has rules for everything, but doesn't have to be crunchy!

Custom is my favorite game by far.

But I like Crunchy as well as flavor!
