OOC Thread

I just submitted my character. Once you give the okay, I'll add the questions to the sheet as well.

I'd like to use this color for my posts.

If we are doing colors, I would like to claim this shade of green!

Have our characters been able to salvage anything from Vault 36 since our escape from it or did it get completely destroyed and buried?

In the chaos of its downfall, imma say you guys were only able to escape with your normal starting equipment and aren’t sure the current condition of the vault. But if that is something you guys want to do eventually, I’ll leave that up to you :) just know that I will probably make it a harder dungeon than the starting adventure.

My plan for this is to run the starting adventure, which contains three acts. Once that is done, I will give you a couple quest lines to follow, but if you’d like, I can leave the direction up to you :)

How are you handling weapon and armor mods?

The game will start with you guys running an errand for FoCo’s sheriff, which shouldnt take too long and you will be back in town soon after. On the errand you might have a chance to scavenge some mod materials and stuff, at which point when you return to town and have a little bit of downtime and access to the workbenches/resources necessary to do so, I will post rules and stuff for how all that works!

And with that, everyone’s characters are ready to go!! You guys can still answer the questions whenever you have time, I will check up on those every once in a while. But expect the first post sometime today!

As a reminder though, I will be visiting family for this long holiday weekend, so I will post the first post today, but probably don’t expect another until Monday night/Tuesday at the latest. :)

That's a solid opening post! Now we just need to have our characters approved, so we can post in character.

This is a question to my fellow group members. What do we all know about each other?

I'm sure there's things from the experiments that we don't know.

I would think that the Vault 3 know very little about Grognak and visa-versa. As for the three ex-vault dwellers, we surely have seen each other in passing within the confines of the vault. IIRC, typically a vault has a max human capacity of 200 individuals.

Kenzie is fairly young at 20. How old are Link and Kyle? They probably know Kenzie is intelligent and can fix things. She was never seen doing menial jobs in the vault. They may even know or heard rumors she was related to the last overseer, Willam.

Link is 28, known to be quiet, and is good in a fight. His family line can be traced back to the military soldiers that were "assigned" spots in the vault. (They were told it was for a security detail, but it was really so they could be part of the experiments).

Due to some rather "extreme" experiments Link is slow to trust most people. Yet, once you've earned it, Link will go to the ends of the earth for you.

Kyle was an ass kisser people pleaser in the vault and he isn't much better now. His 10 year plan included becoming Overseer one day. He enjoys the comfort of Vault life. So what if he sometimes got electrocuted, at least he could be fed if he only took the stairs down and he had a comfy bed even if it meant getting woken up by a siren in the middle of the night just so he could press a red button that did nothing. His one act of rebellion was not pressing it once, and the next day they took away his matrress and that's when the rebellion in him died.

He is slowly getting used to frontier living, but can be a bit miserable about it. But he's good in a pinch, can talk his way out of trouble and he is loyal even though he'll complain about it.

What a great start, I'm apparantly the kind of guy that sneaks away from the group and then fires at my own friends at the first sign of trouble. Sorry I guess
