OOC:
What? Seems like the map I'm looking at isn't updated. Let's just say primary is the nearest zombie without total cover. Secondary is the next nearest one, or the giant maggot.
Jun 29, 2016 3:59 pm
OOC:
Try this map then. You could easily shoot the brown zombie next to Darren without penalties, or the pirate zombie next to Kuroi, which is prone (+4 AC vs. ranged attacks).
Jun 29, 2016 6:54 pm
OOC:
Ok, the one on Darren. If it goes down, then the maggot.
Jun 29, 2016 10:55 pm
Ujjaya starts shooting at the zombie and Kills it with his first arrow. He then switches his sights on the maggot killing it with his 3rd arrow.
OOC:
Since both of your targets were already week, I'll let you shoot your last arrow on the prone pirate zombie.
His last arrow hitting the prone zombie in front of Kuroi, hurting it, but not killing it.

Weiryn can make his Knowledge (religion now), I'll still play the monsters while waiting for your post as it will not affect their actions.

Secret Roll

Jun 29, 2016 11:01 pm
The zombie in the small house will now turn its attention to the warrior who so rudely shoved him to get by. The prone zombie will not even bother to get up, attacking from his prone position as it is not smart enough to do so and there are still targets within arm's reach...

The zombie in the small house attacks Kayleigh and misses. the one who's prone attacks Darren's paralyzed horse for AC 15 and 7 points of damage.

Paralyzation durations are lowered by 1.

Kayleigh can now chop up that filthy zombie. :P

Rolls

1st zombie attacks Kayleigh

2nd zombie attacks Darren's horse or Kuroi 50/50 - (1d100)

(45) = 45

2nd zombie's attack

Jun 29, 2016 11:13 pm
Now that the zombie is within reach, Kayleigh strikes as hard as she can, hoping to put to rest once and for all the creature.
OOC:
Vital Strike, here we go again o/

To keep track of things :
- Sickened -2 to attack rolls, damage rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks
- Shield of Faith : +2 deflection bonus to AC
- Kayleighs' state : 42/45 HP
- Horse's state : 14/15 HP ; paralysed for 6 rounds

Rolls

Attack roll and damages - (1d20+9, 2d12+3)

1d20+9 : (16) + 9 = 25

2d12+3 : (36) + 3 = 12

Jun 30, 2016 1:01 am
OOC:
Only a single attack?
Kayleigh slashes furiously at the zombie, leaving a vicious gash in its chest... However, since that zombie was fresh (relatively speaking, for a zombie... what I really meant is that it had taken no damage), this single strike was not enough to put it down...
Jun 30, 2016 8:10 am
OOC:
Yep, but at 2d12 damages instead of 1d12 since I used Vital Strike.
Jun 30, 2016 2:47 pm
OOC:
Ah, ok.
New round!

Fourth round of combat!

Initiative order:
21 Darren
20 Roland
16 Kuroi
15 Ujjaya
14 Weiryn
11 Zombies
6 (Initiative count at which the paralyzation durations will be lowered by 1)
3 Kayleigh

Combat map

Conditional modifiers:
Mounted Combat.
Mist is ever present in the streets and limits vision. Beyond 30 feet, creatures have concealment (20% miss chance).
Kayleigh is sickened (-2 attack rolls, damage rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks).
Paralization durations (Cannot move or act, STR and DEX of 0 and helpless, can take purely mental actions, square occupied by paralyzed creature counts as 2 squares of movement)
Kuroi & Nevermore 2 rounds each
Roland's mule 2 rounds
Weiryn's horse 6 rounds
Kayleigh's horse 4 rounds
Darren's horse 4 rounds
Ujjaya's horse 6 rounds
One of the zombies is prone (-4 melee attack roll. +4 AC vs ranged attacks and -4 AC vs melee attacks. Standing up is a move-equivalent action which provokes an attack of opportunity).

Darren is up!

Edit: I might as well do Weiryn's Knowledge check from last round since irvanovich seems busy...
Weiryn will notice that despite being much stronger, those zombies seems to share many things in common with regular zombies (DR 5/slashing, undead traits, unable to move and attack in the same round), but will have noted that they seem to have a special ability which sometimes allows them to shrug off what would have otherwise been a killing blow, and this, no matter what the source... Surely, whoever created those must have used powerful and unheard of necromantic rituals.

Rolls

Weiryn's Knowledge (religion) check - (1d20+12)

(5) + 12 = 17

Jun 30, 2016 2:56 pm
Darren climbs down from his immobile horse to stand over the prone zombie and swings his warhammer at the things head.
OOC:
Tracking:
HP: 51/56
AC: 23 - Touch: 10 - Flat-footed: 23

Divine Favor: +3 attack/damage (7 rounds left)
Sacred Weapon: Flaming on weapon (4 rounds left, 1d6 fire damage on hit)
Power Attack: -2 hit, +4 damage

-4 to opponent AC for being prone

Rolls

Attack! - (1d20+11, 1d8+13, 1d6)

1d20+11 : (14) + 11 = 25

1d8+13 : (5) + 13 = 18

1d6 : (3) = 3

Jun 30, 2016 3:47 pm
OOC:
Yes, thank you for that! This "visiting the in-laws on my vacation" thing is really cramping my style.
Jun 30, 2016 9:05 pm
Darren brings his mighty hammer down on the abomination's head and splatters it like a watermelon, sending grey matter flying everywhere. Looks like Darren and Kuroi will be in need of a bath soon...

It's Ujjaya's turn now.

Hard to Kill

Jul 1, 2016 1:44 am
OOC:
I think you meant roland
Roland fires the last two shots in his revolver at the zombie next to kayliegh.
OOC:
deadly aim -2 hit +4 damage
Precise shot to ignore fire into Melee
Point blank shot +1+1 under 30 feet
Gun training add +4 Dex to damage
Inside range increment so hit against touch ac

Rolls

Shot 1 - (1d20+9)

(6) + 9 = 15

Shot 2 - (1d20+4)

(13) + 4 = 17

Shot 1 damage - (1d8+9)

(1) + 9 = 10

Shot 2 damage - (1d8+9)

(6) + 9 = 15

Jul 1, 2016 5:56 am
OOC:
Oh yeah, sorry.
Roland's shots goes through the zombie, damaging it, but not enough to down it. Now it really is Ujjaya's turn.
Jul 3, 2016 2:34 am
Ujjaya clambers off his paralyzed mount and moves into position for a bowshot.
OOC:
Failed the Ride check for Fast dismount. So dismount+move to G4=double move?
Last edited July 3, 2016 2:39 am

Rolls

Fast dismount? - (1d20+2)

(5) + 2 = 7

Jul 3, 2016 3:52 am
OOC:
Yes. 1 move action to dismount, and 1 move action to move.
Jul 3, 2016 2:42 pm
Okay, Ujjaya took a full move to G4. Unless he has a free or swift action to perform, it's Weiryn's turn.
Jul 5, 2016 5:40 am
Weiryn discounts from his horse behind the remaining zombie, reaching out to touch it as he prays to Pharasma to put the poor soul to rest.
OOC:
Spontaneously casting Cure Moderate Wounds instead of Status... here's hoping it hits.
irvanovich sent a note to kalajel

Rolls

Cure Moderate Wounds (Touch Attack) - (1d20+3, 2d8+3)

1d20+3 : (5) + 3 = 8

2d8+3 : (56) + 3 = 14

Jul 5, 2016 3:43 pm
Weiryn's touch attack fails...
OOC:
I do believe you still retain the charge of your spell though for use in later round. I might be wrong, but I remember a similar situation happening in a D&D 3.5 game and my player dug out the rule showing me he was still holding the charge until he successfully touched someone...
The zombie continues his assault on Kayleigh... and also misses...

The paralyzation durations are lowered by one and then Kayleigh is up.

Rolls

Zombie's attack

Jul 5, 2016 3:58 pm
OOC:
Yeah, you can hold the charge, but you can't cast another spell until you either use this one successfully or let it go. Source
