Still here and confused why I'm walking anywhere with these heathenous, not to mention not even entirely live, gem thieves!

I love that song, too, heh. And Power of the Horde.

When I posted it, I was thinking, "Does that song fit the timeline? Eh, maybe it was a folk song before the L70ETC did their version."

I know what you mean. I feel like I'm barely moving things along because I want to give you all the time to interject/post/act as you want.

Sorry, didn't want to pad the actual play forum with an OOC comment, but the first thing that came to mind from Dormir is Gollum. "My Precious... I wants my Precious and I wantses it NOW!" Had a chuckle and wanted to share.

I actually did have to stop myself from using those words... but, yeah Dormir has a similar infatuation with his gem.

I'm listening to the DM's Block podcast, DM-Nastics episode 67, and Genisisect got a shout out about am ever shifting labyrinth! Thought that was pretty cool.

Aw shucks. I have a great love of non-typical dungeon structures. One of the games I'm running on here is a 4D dungeon, a concept I've been playing around with for a while. I didn't construct it explicitly, but since then I've been trying to construct it explicitly, having some fun with rotations and room telelocation.

Sounds insanely complex, but in a fun way!

The way I run dungeons only the DM faces the complexity, the PCs just get confused. I have a rather strong distaste for combat heavy dungeons, and I only have 1 PC who heavily engages in puzzle work, so building the puzzle into the cool thematics or RP intense encounters works great.

Very cool.

That's awesome, Gen! Sounds really interesting. I'd be interested in how you work in the "4D" though. I might have to look up that podcast.

Ok, seriously, you guys crack me up.

Yep, yep, surely a learner would know "simple phrases such as these." Although to be fair, mazmorra (dungeon) was one of the first words I learned when learning Spanish :-)

And as always, Qralloq:

Sorry if it wasn't clear in my post. The things written in english are common, the 'simple phrases' I was referring to are the ones I wrote in orcish; "Aka'Magosh" and "Throm-Kar". I'll add a note to my original post to clear up that ambiguity.

The 4D stuff isn't the concept that got a shout out on that podcast. Though I did attempt to explain the concept behind it's design here. It's still far from a complete exploration of the them. I feel like I jump in too deep for an introduction to the concept. I've been working on a more intuitive guide which slowly gets the reader to the point of thinking in this way but I'm far from done. Time is a limited resource after all.

It's ok Gen. I understood what you meant. Yes, simple phrases like a greeting or some sort of formality would definitely be known to a scholar such as Meridia.
Also, Caedron, I can't wait for the singing automaton! XD

LMAO! And the war between orcs and dwarves began with Dormir. Nice job.

Hey guys, It seems that life has taken a toll on our time. Just want to check in and say I'm still here.
Feb 4, 2017 4:14 am
I'm still around, I was waiting for the orcs indignant response but I had something prepared to jump in with...
Feb 4, 2017 3:47 pm
Haha, consider it's a really long pause as the orc thinks of a comeback.

Glad you're still with us mrnemo636.
And yes, I was waiting for something to come of Dormir's ... statement. Feel free to get things moving however you like.

Good thing that guard wussed out. Dormir would have loved to point out how poorly crafted the orc's equipment was... nothin' like dwarven steel....
