That's a tough one. If the game lags, then people get out of the habit of checking daily. Then they fall behind and everybody else is waiting on stuff... I think that you have to engage each player periodically, but I have no knowledge of the secret to success.

I believe engaging each player is important. It would suck real hard to feel left out of the game/story/action.
Meh, I guess only time will tell.

Would it be too difficult to introduce Xjremon's character after the meet up? I don't know what you have planned...

I'm sitting here smoking a victory cigar and drinking a victory whiskey. I will be able to post again on Sunday.

Hey, just want to say I love the solo thread idea as a starter. It helps us get to know one another's characters a bit more and (for myself at least) is helping me develop who I want to play. I will say I'm sorry if I take longer to respond. As I believe I mentioned in a PM, I'm more used to "roll-playing" than actual RP (not by choice), and I don't really consider myself a very creative person, so it can take me a bit to even come up with the short responses I've been giving.

First of all, xjremon, you with victory cigars and whiskey make me slightly hesitant to ask why.

Secondly, Genisisect, introducing the dwarf to a bunch of Horde characters is something I've been dreading and looking forward to. His journey seems to be taking the scenic route to the rest of you.

Glad to hear it mrnemo636! Even if you just have short responses, we can go back and forth with bursts of action instead of long scenes. It's all good for me! :)

Unique_exemplar, BRUH, the victory was getting married!

Qralloq, thanks! I have acquired a lot of cross-class experience on this adventure.

I'm also digging the heck out of the slow build. And congrats again xjremon

Since the podcast was discussed previously, I was curious if anyone else backed the Godsfall Kickstarter. I'm very excited and expect to see Godsfall games here on Gamers Plane once the books and PDFs are delivered.

I have, and plan to run a game as soon as I get my greedy hands on the worldbook.

Crud! I need to get on that. Maybe next paycheck

Oh no, I don't know if my wallet can handle Kickstarter much longer, lol. I passed on some of the more expensive games, but that doesn't matter much when I back twice as many lower/moderately priced projects...
Jul 1, 2016 10:50 am
Yes, they can pile up. I've backed four projects ever. My first two were Numenera and maps for that world. Then there was Brian Patterson's world "Karthun", and now Godsfall. I seem to average one per year.

My wife gets on me for backing too many, heh. I gotta pick my stuff. Maybe 2 a year is my plan.

Hey all. Just thought I'd pop in here on my way to work to let you know how I plan to post.
Dormir, I'll reply tomorrow.
Allyk & Meridia, I was going to allow some time for banter, but I wonder if I should nudge things along. Your thoughts?
Gazam & Mul'Zeb, you two are doing great alone. I'll keep watching and interject when needed.
Hope everyone is doing well. Take care and have fun!

I think the bants are coming to a close, we should probably move on...

Since it's come up, thought I'd let you all know that I probably won't ask for initiative. With the nature of pbp games, I think it's easier. Enemies will either go before or after everyone unless of course someone specifically wants to hold their action or something like that. I'll state something like combat starting or act now and you can just go. In face-to-face games, initiative keeps things in order but I think it just bogs things down in pbp games.
That cool with everyone? Any questions?

This sounds good to me!

Oh man, you guys were talking about Kickstarter before. My wallet just took a huge hit with Massive Darkness. I need to take a break. It's my 7th kickstarter backed in about 3 months... :-( haha, I have a problem.
