Chapter 1 : Greenest in Flames

Jaelyn stops to admire the site of the swooping dragon for the barest moment before sprinting for the gate. Her armor doesn't seem to encumber her at all as she makes her ways into the confines of the gatehouse. "A magnificent beast. I can see why these people worship them."

You are running fast and you see the guards closing the gates. Linan yells "Wait for us, please! We have children with us for Gods sake!''

Behind you, you can see more cultists. However, you notice that they keep their distance and they are not willing to attack the keep.

Also the Cultist, that Jaelyn holds prisoner, attempts to escape.

Strength check

The Cultist tries to escape, but Jaelyn pulls him back

You are running and before they close the gates,at last seconds, you are all entering the keep.

You look around and you see more commoners resting with a worried look on their faces, on top of the wall guards throwing arrows to the raiders.

"Thank you, for bringing us safe'' Linan says and hugs one of the children. "Father come, you need medical care, let's see if someone can help us take care your wounds. I would be forever grateful adventures for this" The other woman hugs Brommyr, (as a dwarf her boobs is on his face :P) "Thank you, for saving us twice''

How could I get up to the walls to be of an assistance ? Hunter asks any guard he see and will follow up the walls to throw magic stones at any enemy. Assuming there will be moments of rest when he could ask guards what do they know about the dragon - when I appeared, how, is it connected to the cultists, etc.

Brommyr chuckles as the woman hugs him. 'Tis all good lass. You all did your part and kept quiet and kept pace too. he says, looking about. You there! These lot need some lookin' after and I need to know where I can be of best use, though I am a bit battered myself. he hollers out to the nearest guard to him.

You see Hunter follows the guards and going on top of the walls. He asks a guard and he learns the dragon appeared with the raiders. You notice, that the dragon is up in the sky to the north. You also try to throw a magic stone, but you see the cultists are not attacking the keep and they are keeping their distance.
Brommyr you stop a guard and he shows you where the injured are taking care of and Linan with the rest leave to there.
Then the guard guides you, to the man is in charge of defenses, his name is Castellan Escobert The Red.
Escobert is a dwarf with knotted, tangled, bright red hair. He carries an enormous ring of iron and brass keys.
As he sees you approach, he notice the Cultist and says: ''Take the prisoner to Governor Nighthill, I am too busy with the attack to interrogate them! A dragon is attacking us! More guards to the walls!''

Xarathon goes with Hunter to the top of the walls to get a better view of the whole situation.
"Escobert, let us know if we can be of further assistance. The cultists don't appear to be very forthcoming with information, but perhaps you can persuade him. "

Hunter stay on the walls prepared to protect the keep against dragon

Castellan Escobert The Red looks at Xarathon and Jaelyn with a curious look : " You are not from here, who are you?.... You know what....I do not care who you are! As long you are willing to help. We are in crucial situation. Not only I have the dragon attacking and the raiders stealing our city. Moreover, citizens of Greenest are being out there and not safe. You can help with that and bringing them here. But we can not open the gate again, it is dangerous for us. You need to go from the tunnel''

Castellan Escobert orders a guard to take the prisoner cultist to Governor Nighthill inside the keep.
Then he says: ''Are you willing to help? They informed me that dozens of townsfolk have barricaded themselves inside the temple''

Xarathon stifles his immediate reaction to seemingly being ordered around and takes a moment to reply.
"Certainly we would like to help. If we can. I fear however that my companions and I may be somewhat drained from our previous encounter."
Xarathon looks around and takes stock of who is here and who is not.
"Also, it seems that some of my prior companions are elsewhere. I would not presume to speak for others."

Brommyr walks into the medical ward, eager to have his wounds inspected and possibly bandaged up. Barring an interruption from his fellows, he will take the hour to short rest and try and recuperate some.

Jaelyn looks across to Castellan Escobert with her hands behind her back. "If the citizens of Greenhest haveth need of us then we will go forth and save them. Where exactly is this temple of yours?"

"When you exit the tunnel, follow the water stream to the east and you will find the temple to Chauntea. Ah! Before I forget...." Castellan Escobert takes out his keys and gives them to a guard "When they are ready, take them to the cellar"

Xarathon turns to Jaelyn.
"Well. I have expended no small measure of my power against those cultists out there, and to be honest I do not relish walking into danger armed with only dregs of magic at my disposal, but if you wish to go I will not abandon those that fought by my side. However, we should find the others at least and see if they wish to help. There is strength in numbers, and the dangers, as we have seen, are not inconsiderable."

Jaelyn goes to the medical ward. "There are people at the temple trapped. We could use your help master dwarf."

Brommyr looks around the room of injured people and feels his own injuries weighing on him. Then to the temple we go. Do we have a safe path or are we running through the open again? he asks, starting to collect his things with a soft wince.

"We have a tunnel to go through. Here let me see to your wounds." Jaelyn extends a palm to Brommyr's shoulder. He feels his old injuries reknit themselves.
