Here's the obligatory OOC thread. Feel free to post your basic character concept here. You would all have been part of the same following, maybe your entire life, so feel free to include what the other players would know about you. It's a tight knit community with some 70 members.

Name: Igbork Armbreaker
Class: Rogue

Okay. So Igbork would be known to be someone to leave the village for days or weeks in order to scout, lay ambushes, infiltrate another tribe's camp or spy at newcomers in the area. Someone who'd go from zero to a hundred if the situation calls for it but not malicious or choleric.
He has a wife and two daughter, all of whom he genuinely loves and cares for. In camp he's usually friendly with everyone as he sees them as extended family and therefore cares for and trusts them. He's known for his brisk, sometimes borderline abrasive humour. Apart from spending time with his family his favourite pasttimes include drinking beer and tinkering with his equipment
His body is covered in tattooed spiral shapes. When he is asked about them he will tell a different story to whoever asks. Sometimes he says he got a vision to get them tattooed, sometimes he'll says that they're camouflage and another time he'll tell that they are ancient writing.
So we have:

-A wild order druid
-A fighter
-An oracle
-A summoner
-A sorcerer
-and me as a rogue

So I think it may be better if I make Igbork more into a melee character or at least a melee-flexible character. What do you think? I'm new to PF and PF 2e so I may be wrong here and therefore open for suggestions ^^

Name: Atticus Crownguard
Class: Fighter
House: Musk Ox

Even though he's been in the tribe for a few years, Atticus feels like he was born into the tribe. Thus, there's nothing he wouldn't do for his adopted family. With a near fearless or border-line reckless zeal, Atticus will protect them all.

Never one to shrink away from work, Atticus will gladly accept any task...be it a hunt, scouting, raiding, or even the more mundane tasks at the village. When we was first brought into the tribe, Atticus couldn't see the beauty for all of the darkness that surrounded him. Gradually with the help of his new found family he finally saw the light.

Now that he's at a better place in his heart and mind, Atticus is ready to start a family.
OOC:
Thanks for the invite. I'm looking forward to getting a better grasp of the game.

Callow (female tiefling, demon-blooded sorcerer, Sarkorian Survivor background)
Callow's very birth was a curse on her family and home, heralded by strange omens. Her mother died bringing her into the world. Her father never forgave her and the village never trusted her, especially when her strange, tainted magical abilities began to emerge. When her father was slain the fearful folk decided to no longer tolerate her presence, and Callow was dragged to the highest hill and tied to a copper pole as a storm rumbled overhead, to be executed and purified by lightning-strike. Thankfully, a weary warrior who had seen enough senseless bloodshed in the Worldwound came upon her as she struggled and cut her free, and the two of them travelled together to the west.

For all her tainted origins, Callow is a ray of sunshine. Enthusiastic, curious and sweet-natured, she finds the Realm no less a harsh and dangerous place than the Worldwound, but at least here the threats are of flesh and blood, tusk and hide, not hellfire, tentatacles and acid-dripping maws. She works as a forager for the following, though she is easily distracted and swept up in Koram's schemes and Keshka's visions.
It seems like our druid may spend some time in a form with claws and fangs and the summoner's pet may be a melee combatant in addition to the fighter, so there should be some people to flank with if you go melee, but enough bodies to block if you wanted to choose ranged instead. But I'm not sure how sneak attack works in PF2e... like you I'm new to the system.

Is the Pathfinder sheet usable for PF2e characters, or should we fill in a blank one ourselves?

You could use the Pathfinder character sheet. It is not ideal for the situation. Looking through the public repository of character sheets I found the following:

Sneak Attack requires the target to be flat footed which it can become from spells, status effects but mostly from flanking. But Attack of Opportunity is much rarer so in most cases the third action is well worth to set up flanking rather than a third attack.

Naatkinson made that original sheet - in the meantime, he's made an arguably better one if anyone is interested in using it (not sure why he hasn't added it to the official list yet). It has more automation and fillable fields in it.

Honestly, between a summoner and a sorcerer, I think we have enough charisma on the group. Furmyr, could I switch away from oracle into something else?

Name: Koram (,Dragon-tongue? Dragon-tamer? not sure yet)
Class: Summoner
Eidolon: Dragon - melee with breath weapon

Koram is young, energetic, and excited - perfect traits for bringing in new members to join the Following. Having been recruited himself only a few years back, he knows the welcoming nature of the Tusk and has been happy to find a family within their ranks. Though initially there was some worry, and even fear, amongst the Following due to his friend, Haitith. For reasons unknown to Koram, he has found an ability to call forth the physical manifestation of Haitith, an ancient dragon, whose soul floats across the astral plane. Though cantankerous and claiming to often be bored of human folly, Haitith seems to like his jaunts to the material plane and is a steadfast friend to Koram. Haitith's assistance with the herd, and a few solid years of NOT eating fellow members of the Tusk, has earned both Koram and Haitith a respected position among his people. Koram only hopes he can share the bounty of this family and their way of life with others that wish to join them.

Koram is known for his optimism and friendliness, though his decisions are guided by learned pragmatism. He cares deeply for the Following and genuinely seeks to recruit those whose passions and goals align with those that allow their Following to thrive within the Realm. Haitith is a grump, and tries to pretend to not care about anyone but Koram and himself, but that's mostly for show - ancient dragon spirit / big ego, typical.

I don't see most people in the tribe really understanding the Summoner/Eidolon thing, and those except the most wise in the tribe probably will assume Koram just befriended/tamed a young dragon.

-----------------

I think the group makeup look pretty good. Haitith will definitely be up front a lot in melee, while Koram will have limited arcane magic while shooting a crossbow from the back line. As a recruiter for the Following, I'll invest a little into face skills (though not a lot, since the AP hints they won't be put to use overly much).

No problem. What do you want to play?

I'm at work at the moment, so I can't write a proper intro just yet, but I will be building a Kellid Monk/Barbarian, since we're using the free archetype rule. Most likely going with a Mountain Stance/Animal Instinct build for that tough as nails, animalistic bruiser feel, but I have to look over my options before locking in the specifics of the build.

Can we go ahead and choose which house we belong to, within the tribe?

Sure. I'll try to get a post up about the biggest differences up tomorrow.

Do we have anyone gearing towards healing?

My PC has a wee bit of healing, but it is only a wee bit

I could change to cleric if we need healing. I'd have to change my character a bit but cleric was my second pick anyway.

Name: Jon
Class: Champion
Background: Megafauna Hunter

Born to a pair of Kellid herders recruited into the tribe a generation ago, the Broken Tusk tribe had learned of Jon's talents, the first time he had taken down a wandering wolf all on his own. Not too grand of a feat, one that most of the hardy northerners among the recruits could do... were Jon not 12 and wielding all but a wooden board when he done it. A hearty, jovial, and scarily strong child even among the toughest of the Broken Tusk's runts, the young lad proved himself highly skilled at taking down most game with the combination of a quick wit, an inspiring attitude, and a surprising skill at wielding boards of all kind even against the dangers of the tundra.

Even as he grew into maturity and, with it, earned a place among the hunters of the tribe for his muscle and his smile, Jon would do his best to be a friend to all of the Broken Tusk's members. Sharing many a drink with men like Igrook, Atticus and Koram over many stories told and retold in varying degrees of inebriation, without ever missing a beat in accompanying Callow out for an adventure or two, Jon holds a reputation as a cheerful protector, wielding nothing but a massive shield and a massive heart as he journeys onward to aid his people lead a happy, peaceful life.
Never fear, my friends! I ditched the Monk/Barbarian idea as soon as I noticed Champion has an interesting feat I could build around. So, since I can't escape charisma, I'll be building a tanky, healy Champion, and I promise this time I'm locking it in xD

I assume taking Everstand Stance is okay? If not, I can switch to a shield/gauntlet style instead. One thing I do have to ask is the religious faith around the Broken Tusk: do we worship any one god in specific?

I've been beating my head against PF2e all day, and I'm afraid it's not clicking for me. It's too particular and fussy. I'm going to have to withdraw my concept. Have fun everyone!

The Broken Tusk’s patron deity is Sister Cinder, goddess of fire and wisdom. Long ago, when the world was shrouded in ash after a great cataclysm, Sister Cinder bestowed a divine light upon the Broken Tusk’s ancestors. The light enabled her followers to cut through the veil of darkness and help restore the world’s natural order, as well as to discern right from wrong. In other parts of the world, Sister Cinder is known as Sarenrae.

Though Sarenrae (or Sister Cinder as they call her) is the most revered, there's also some who worship Gozreh, Erastil and Desna.
