Volume 1: Calling Cards

Brigid sputters a bit as the feather hits her face. Picking it off her face, she looks up at the air vent it came from.

"Huh. Do birds live in this thing?"

She takes a look inside. If it's too tall for her, she'll dismount the power armor and climb on top of it to get a look.

As the others search for physical obstacles, ElectroLite scans the area for signs of electromagnetic interference, whether it be any large magnets, jamming devices, high-frequency signals or dead spots.

Holds up a hand, makes a whisper motion and shakes her head. We have company
She gestures with her chin toward the vent and tree.

"That's a black feather." Tentacular exclaimed, but quietly. "Told you there was a ballerina." The observation wore thin, but the others ought to know what, or whom he was referring to.
Apr 27, 2022 12:36 am
Brigid gives a snort when she imagines a ballerina wiggling around inside an air vent, fluffy tutu and all.

"Alright, I get it. I'll stay put."

Theres a rustle in the tree and an ear-splitting HWRAAAAANK!!

("We have company" implies you're invited!)

A small, agile figure in black darts out of the tree and flies towards the building. They surely intend to sound the alarm, but successful pursuit could mean a faster route inside.

HWRAAAAANK!!!

(Listen to Ms. Metal and stay out!)
Apr 30, 2022 12:26 am
OOC:
Can we pursue to stop her from raising the alarm?
Apr 30, 2022 1:13 am
OOC:
Indeed! If you can justify it in your narration, use whatever trait you'd like.
Apr 30, 2022 2:42 pm
Trying to entangle someone before they got away was very much in Tentacular's wheelhouse. He launched himself, all four of his appendages flailing and extending like a jellyfish on an acid trip. At one point he was farther behind Terminal, but his limbs shot past as the black feathered figure flew out of the tree and past the air vent. Tentacular was reaching, stretching and reaching ...
OOC:
Flexible Habit, I've added advantage to the roll if it counts. Edit: omg extreme rolls!

Problems 3 (Heart) - (2d6)

(61) = 7

Brigid wows at the flailing of Tentacular's tentacles. Just like what she remembered as a kid! Or, a close approximation to it. She did have an active imagination when she was little after all.
May 9, 2022 4:53 pm
Reaching...stretching.....reaching.....got 'em! It's the Black Swan all right. But they're far shorter than you imagined. 3 feet tall at most! The surprising lack of weight throws you off, but only barely. The Black Swan bites your arm, otherwise restrained. With little effort you yank the very short, very angry man in a black-feathered masquerade getup back to the group.

HWRAAANK!! HWRAAAAANK!!!!!

(You think I didn't plan for this? Let me go or you'll regret it!!)

You finish your display of prowess with just enough time to catch Terminal's awed expression.
OOC:
Sorry for the delay. Your adversary is restrained well enough you can hold for a while or move him.
May 9, 2022 4:55 pm
ElectroLite, you can tell the base models of the surveillance are standard issue, but you can't pin down the frequencies. Whoever set these up is good. Which is inconvenient for you.
OOC:
I'm calling your failure a revelation of very good tech.

Brigid looks at the captured Black Swan curiously.

"You're one heck of a ballerina. Are you part swan or something?"
May 10, 2022 12:41 pm
HWRAAAAANK!
May 10, 2022 1:34 pm
"You planned to be caught? Hwak you too!" Tentacular retorted. "From one professional to other, I'm not in the mood to fight you, but we also can't let you raise the alarm. So either you submit peacefully, or we'll have to go back to option one." Tentacular curled an appendage around what passed for the short man's neck to make a point. "Shall we continue to talk like unreasonable men?"
May 17, 2022 4:09 pm
The Black Swan waggles his head with no small amount of sass.

"Hwra-ank."

(Timed check-ins, plebian. Let me get my comm or they'll know anyway.)

He clearly doesn't want to physically fight you if he can avoid it. But will you keep him away from his comm, or risk that the check-ins are real?
May 17, 2022 11:27 pm
Brigid has an idea of how to bypass the timed check-ins, she just needs to get a hold of his comm.

"Where's your comm?"
May 18, 2022 1:07 am
Casually looks down at her hands. And as a reminder, cats do eat birds after all. and while i wouldnt eat you, i might bat you around for a while
May 18, 2022 4:37 pm
The Black Swan hisses at you, baring his sharpened teeth. He's really committed to this....
OOC:
Terminal, I'm going to need a roll of your choosing, with disadvantage (roll twice) to convince him that this is better for everyone.

That said, I will let MaCavity also roll something of her choosing for intimidation. If that passes it'll help Terminal.
May 18, 2022 5:02 pm
Looking around, Brigid finds her tool of choice on the ground, the feather that hit her in the face before. She twirls it around in her hand, inspecting it from every angle.

"Maybe this will tickle your memory."

Brigid shoved the feather up Black Swan's nose, wiggling and jiggling it around.
