OOC:
Turns out carrying around your own medical suite is pretty useful.
Huh, did I push myself too hard? Brigid digs around her suit's medical equipment and pulls out an oxygen mask, hoping that it would help deal with the warm and fuzzy feeling that she was feeling. Didn't help that the suit was actually now warm to the touch.

"Sorry guys, I gotta take a second here."

She puts it on and takes a few deep breaths.
OOC:
I think the suit habit and the illness downfall cancel each other out in this situation.

Rolls

Brute Force - (1d6)

(6) = 6

The safe was within reach of one of his tentacles, and Terminal had the Ox down for the moment. Surely it was a simple matter to pick up the files within. But was Tentacular missing something? Was he thinking as clearly as he ought?

Rolls

Brute Force - (1d6)

(5) = 5

OOC:
Oof. Terminal, since that's shattered, take 4 damage and roll disadvantage until this is resolved. Tentacular, take 2. Next time you're up in the cycle you can attempt to take the files OR figure out what's going on (but no disadvantage). Basically, even with 4 arms you're now limited to one action at a time.

As other folks add their rolls, you can edit to include a response. If you shatter, same as Terminal. If you simply fail, same as Tentacular. If you succeed or get Perfection, I'll let ya know what happens ;)

The combination of lightheadedness and warmth leaves Brigid on the brink of dozing off, leaving her mumbling incoherently.

i have fine motor not Brute...so not sure how to rolls here

Rolls

fine motor 3 - (1d6)

(3) = 3

OOC:
A good moment to remind folks: You have every trait, just some aren't as good for you. So if you have FM 3, then you pass Brute on 2 or lower, making this a fail (since we aren't at a high enough milestone to have balanced scores yet.)
Jun 22, 2022 5:57 am
"Knotty, very knotty." For some reason his tentacles kept getting entangled as Tentacular attempted to open the safe to reach for the files within.

OOC:
Placeholders. Rolling for the others so we can move along. I, for one, am waiting with bated breath ;)

Rolls

Riven 3- - (1d6)

(3) = 3

ElectroLite 3- - (1d4)

(2) = 2

Tentacular, you can scoop everything up, but your head's going all fuzzy. Your lips feel numb and when you glance over to Terminal, you see hers are blue. Terminal, you feel much the same. Even with your suit, it's hard to move fluidly.

ElectroLite and Riven are unaffected for the moment. The magnet-man sees the safe door swinging lazily while Tentacular tries to gather the goods, so he pulls it open from a distance.

You good, Long-Arms?

Riven heads to The Ox to try to restrain him. He glances at her bust then grins.

You look like the strong one in the group. Shame. This would've been fun.

She stomps on his leg and uses her powers to twist his fur cape around his hands.

Shut up, pig.

The Ox rolls his eyes, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Oh noooooo. My ankle. Ow.

OOC:
Khaki and Dream, I'll keep the NPC'ing to a minimum. Thanks for understanding. I know y'all are busy.

Everyone, I need another Brute save, with disadvantage if you failed before. If you fail again, take 6 damage. If you succeed this time and failed before, only take 2.

Edited to add Riven is now at 4 health and EL is at 2. They now roll disadvantage.

Rolls

Riven 3- - (1d6)

(5) = 5

EL 3- - (1d4)

(4) = 4

OOC:
Sorry June.
Despite MaCavity's best efforts, she succumbs to the atmosphere in the room. The rest of you can't tell where she goes, but in your asphixiating stupor, you almost think you hear a cat groan.
Jun 28, 2022 3:45 am
"Well I need to catch my breath, catch the files, but I feel like I'm catching ... something." He could see half of them were succumbing to whatever effects the room had on them. He wasn't confident he'd be able to manage himself; those tentacles were getting very rubbery, and he felt he could only move one at a time, enough to grab the files and head back out for air to clear his head, but maybe not enough to pull his teammates to safety...
OOC:
Whew I think I made that save.

Brute Force (disadv) - (2d6)

(21) = 3

OOC:
Nicely done! Just a normal pass due to disadvantage. I'm going to retcon that a pass stabilizes damage but you're still at disadvantage. Then a fail is just 4 not 6. I think June's still out unfortunately.
Jun 28, 2022 11:38 am
OOC:
Tent, you can leave with the files or an ally. No roll needed.

No point surviving if they didn't complete the mission. Tentacular was still all arms and legs to be able to pull off the polydextrous pirouette of the earlier firefight. He didn't trust himself to both retrieve the cat and the files and still stay conscious, so off he swung, documents tightly suction cupped together, until he exited the room to try to regain some sort of capacity again, and to pause to see if the others could safely pull out as well.

OOC:
i took the damage off, i thought a 2 was a pass with my earlier fail, but im fine going cat
Jun 28, 2022 7:55 pm
OOC:
Terminal, good point. No more disadvantage. June ), my bad. I lost count. But I do think this would be stressful enough,
so thanks for being cool with it. You'll be a coherent cat, at least!
Jun 28, 2022 10:16 pm
Fighting off the lack of oxygen, Brigid walks to where the balcony is, and opens the door, providing ample ventilation throughout the office.
Jun 29, 2022 4:06 pm
The ox grins and mutters at Terminal.

You're not as dumb as you look.

He sighs and stretches, knocking Riven over as he stands. A kitty, an octopus, a tank, and a couple robots. The question now is, will you fight or fly?
