Atticus grins and gives a short laugh as Pakano stalks off. You dare to say I fought without honor. Yet, you were the one that jeopardized the hunt with your rash actions. Then you saw fit to claim something that was already claimed by someone else. Those are the actions of a dishonorable person.

Walking over to where the others are standing, Atticus claps Grom on the shoulder. Pointing at the spear, Atticus smiles...For you my friend.

Koram laughs and looks over the spear. "Hmm," he says, "Yes." He's still looking it over as Atticus signals Grom that the spear is his. He hands the spear proudly forward to the druid. "It will serve you well," he says, "the magic coursing through it will help assure you greater accuracy and power when wielding it."

Koram also returns to the task at hand, ready to carry water back to camp.

As you are about to go back to your task, Grom and Attcius notices some tracks leading upriver.
May 5, 2022 5:55 pm
Hahahaha! Igbork laughs loudly as a defeated Pakano goes to attend to the task at hand.
Well you can't fight Moose and you can't fight men. I'll catch you a bunny. You can start training with it! Maybe you'll progress to fighting geese when the snow melts again....
After laughing a bit too long over his own joke he gets a basket and fills it with water.
We're done here, aren't we? After he finished filling it

Wipa
With the spear in hand, you fill the baskets and make the much more arduous trip back. The added weight takes it toll, but by the time you're finished it's late in the afternoon.

Once back in camp, Pakano, who has spent the trip back fuming in anger, is quick to ditch you.

You don't have time to start on any new task however, before Wipa approaches you. "I hear you have been tasked with catching the tapirs," she says with a smile. "If you have the time, I could teach you some snares that might come in handy."

"But first, I want you to tell me what happened with the water?"
May 6, 2022 7:15 am
Atticus smiles at Wipa's offer. Thank you, anything that you can teach will be greatly appreciated.
May 6, 2022 8:09 am
Pleased with their task completed, Koram listens to Wipa's offer. "That would be wonderful, Wipa, thank you. I've heard from some of the others that your skills in snare crafting are nearly unsurpassed."
May 6, 2022 2:06 pm
"Look!, Grom exclaims as he spots the tracks heading upriver. The Druid falls to his hands and knees and, with head close to the ground he begins crawling along the path of the tracks.

"follow me"
May 7, 2022 4:35 pm
You tell Wipa how you found some tracks around the river which lead upriver:

You follow the winding river up a series of smooth, low-lying hills for less than a mile before you come upon something of note: a small, stony island in the river across from an old, dead stump.

The river looks like it is shallow in this part.

"Why? Why have you come?" intones a gurgling voice emanating from the river water. The ashy water splashes to and fro, partially pulling itself from the river’s gentle current. "Are you here to help me? I’ve been so polluted, and I feel so weak!"
May 7, 2022 6:08 pm
Not one to question the spirits, Atticus immediately steps forward. What troubles you so? Who dared to pollute you?
May 8, 2022 2:18 pm
Igbork titls his head like a confused puppy. A talking river is certainly among the more strange things he's seen.
While Atticus talks to the river spirit he looks around in order to maybe find some clues on where the origin of the pollution is...

"Great fires from the people in the north," the water replies. "You need to find a flower on the far side of the river. It only grows in the stinking mud."

Meanwhile Igbork can see a strange winged creature hiding behind som rocks on the island in the middle of the river. As well as spotting a shadow beneath the water near the speaking water.

Careful Grom there is a... Igbork begins to speak but the druid transforms before he can finish.
Igbork rolls his eyes. Better watch out for him. There's something in the water and a strange bird on the island.
He grabs his sword and jumps into the river too, following Rat-Grom

"Stay out!" the voice calls out. Then it seems to calm down. "Don't want you to suffer in the same way as I!"

Behind the rock Igbork sees the creature flapping his wings it what seems like an irritated way.

Below the water it is easy for Grom to notice a small winged creature below the water.

No, while it looks on excitedly with a wicked grin on its face.

Koram crouches low and follows the others, Haitith lagging behind him. As Grom changes form into a rat and starts to swim across, Koram also takes note of the bird-like creature on the other side. "What is going on here?" he asks out loud, more for himself than anyone else.
