Thank you so much Qralloq! This was a fantastic adventure -- you are an extremely creative and capable DM.

To the team -- it has been a real pleasure serving with you on behalf of the Duke against the minions of Orcus. You all are great players and I'll really miss this group and this adventure.

Jhishma, may you serve the Winter Queen well. It's been an honor.
Cyrind'ae, thank you for keeping our spirits up during the dark times. Spread our tale far and wide!
Padre! I feel blessed to have been in your presence. Hail Apollo!
So Grok -- let's go pick up those duds and hobnob with the royals, my brother!

I hope to play with you all again sometime!

Thank you guys so much for accepting me into your game! I had a wonderful time and I hope I have the pleasure of joining you in another adventure in another world at another time! Thanks Qralloq for being an excellent DM!

The ending was a bit anti-climatic, but okay, neat. Yeah, this was a fun game.

Haha, that's true. I had meant to build it up with the cultists upstairs, but you went right for the boss fight.

Sometimes the players are too smart for their own good...

Some questions as we wrap up...

1) What did you think about the Advantage When Flanking optional rule? (To be fair, this didn't really come up where the foes were in position for flanking.)
2) How do you find the inherent level of danger / threat of lethality in 5e? (Many of the encounters were well above your pay grade.)

1) I haven't experienced it.
2) I'm not sure I've been playing in this game long enough to really see it. I've heard 5th edition was more lethal. I've dropped down to like 2 hp once against that priest of Orcus in the caves, but later fights were less intensive HP-wise for my character.

1) I think it made a big difference in our ability to overcome some of the difficult fights. But it doesn't feel like it fits PBP, unless you post maps with updated positions every round. I thought you were also extra generous with how you let us do mounted combat.

2) The lethality of 5e is really noticeable at 1st level, but after that PCs start getting enough tricks up their sleeves to handle what you throw at them, especially with a party of 5 or 6 PCs.

1) My take is that us melee fighters got a lot from the flanking advantage. Probably saved our skins a couple of times. For Grok, it meant he didn't have to use Reckless Attack, so he probably got hit a lot less as well. (And he's dropped enough already :p). Grok was a fun guy to be risky with though, with his single-mindedness in combat I'm actually surprised he made it through (Thanks to everyone who always came in and saved him at the last moment, thanks guys :D)

2) Combat's felt lethal enough, certainly. And you were kind enough to hint when we were out of our league (dracolich in the end of the previous adventure), which probably saved us from a TPK. Generally I found we were in danger in most combats, but not over our heads.

This is part of the reason I took Healing Word instead of Cure wounds. It heals less, but I can cast it as an immediate action. Enough to keep someone alive for an actual cure spell or some other form of healing later...

Thanks for the feedback all, I appreciate taking the time. I have played a bunch of 5e here, and a little bit online through the Tabletop RPG One Shot Group on Facebook, but these channels don't always tend to lead to the same kind of spitballing that occurs after an IRL campaign.

1. I've never been sure how to apply this to my games. I think it makes sense after a certain number of attackers surround an opponent. Just didn't know what number of attackers was best. As a GWM, I'll take all the advantage I can get!

2. I think the danger was definitely there -- the hell hounds, the dracolich, the were-creatures. The latter could have really nailed us if you hadn't gone easy on us, allowing them to be damaged by non-magical weapons. Teeing off on the zombies wasn't dangerous, but it was a hell of a lot of fun!
