Let's discuss this in the OOC chat, so we don't bog down the main thread.

OOC:
So, we have quite a few treasures we should split up at this point.

From the small fort:
3,000 Copper
600 Silver
50 Gold
15 gallon(s) of ale (3 gp)
5 lbs. of silver trade bars (25 gp)
3 star rose quartz worth 50 gp each
2 lapis lazuli worth 10 gp each
linen mask with silver thread worth 25gp
silk mask with silver thread worth 25gp
carved bone figurine worth 25gp
onyx pitcher worth 25gp

From the antechamber:
2,100 Copper
1,000 Silver
100 Gold
2 jasper worth 30 gp
3 white onyx worth 50 gp each
4 tiger eye worth 10 gp each
Cloak of Elvenkind (taken by Owen)
Wand of the War Mage +1 (taken by Jhishma)

from our fight with Ubar-Sin/his lab:
Greywolf, a Longsword +1 with a pommel of a howling wolf, medium sized platemail, and various spell pouches with mundane reagents. In his lab, you find his treasure stash containing:
200 Copper
4,000 Silver
2,000 Gold
50 Platinum
1 lyre (30 gp)
2 lbs. of cooking spices (4 gp)
6 set(s) of fine clothes (90 gp)
1 lyre (30 gp)
2 set(s) of fine clothes (30 gp)
9 lbs. of copper trade bars (4.5 gp)
9 yellow quartz worth 50 gp each
5 blue tourmaline worth 100 gp each
fur robe worth 250gp
wool robe worth 250gp
glass statuette worth 250gp
onyx bird cage worth 250gp
carved bone circlet worth 250gp
fur robe worth 250gp
(total value 5,540 gp, 5 sp) (Nar offered to liquidate all this with the consent of the party, but nobody said anything so far... honeslty, I wouldn't mind keeping one of the lyres for myself...)
I had written this for Jhishma at the end of chapter two. Hope it's ok:
Omenstar says:
Jhishma regards the fur robe and one set of the fine clothes with an appraising eye, then he offers, "I don't mind carrying most of the coins if yous prefer to split the gold."
OOC:
Jhishma will take the copper, the silver, the platinum, the fur robe and one set of fine clothes, if you agree that that's fair.
Grok doesn't care about *stuff* atm, so I have no problem liquidating all of it. Well.. Grok might want one of the masks if it doesn't look too omnious

I suggest we liquidate everything that nobody needs and put it in the party coffer. I also don't have a problem if someone else uses more of the funds than me once we go shopping (as Grok isn't very high maintenance), as long as it's for something "useful". ;)

Nar had his eye on one of the fur robes...
Jan 2, 2017 8:49 pm
I'd like one of the lyres.

I'm good with just the elven cloak.

I certainly hope so, it's a magical item which is probably worth 2000~4000 gp...
Jan 13, 2017 1:34 am
So Owen took the Elven Cloak
Jhishma takes the Wand of the War Mage+1, plus 5300cp + 5600 sp + 50 pp + fur robe (250 gp) + 1 set of fine clothes (15 gp)
Nar is taking the plate armor (1500 gp) plus 1 fur robe (250gp) and maybe the longsword +1?
Cyrind'ae takes a lyre (30 gp)
Grok takes a mask (25 gp)

The rest adds up to 365+350+4097 = 4812 gp to be divided.

In 5e, they don't suggest any price for magic items. I won't attempt to value them. The fair thing would be for Cyrind'ae and Grok to take larger shares of the gold, but that's up to you to work out.

Recommended ranges for prices of magic items by rarity is on p. 135 of the DMG.

I feel Jhishma can't accept any more this time.
Jan 13, 2017 2:44 am
Okay, DMG pg 135 has guidelines apparently:
- uncommon magic item (WofWM+1, weapon +1, Cloak of the Elvenkind) are recommended to be 101-500 gp
Jan 13, 2017 3:05 am
Wow, magic items are much cheaper in this edition...
Jan 13, 2017 3:09 am
Nar doesn't want the sword -- just wants to check it out before handing it to a friend. He was thinking the ranger or maybe the bard, just to be nice to confuse her.
Jan 13, 2017 7:51 am
Grok has no use for armor, and is happy with his little friend. ;)

He doesn't have initiative enough to stock up on tools/gear etc, so he doesn't have much use for the gold either. That being said, if anyone else takes initiative to it, he'll carry any tools or stuff we need. Otherwise, let's put the rest in the bank for a rainy day? (I'm assuming we can't go magic item shopping like it's 3e ^^)

I know, right? When I DM I always use the highest recommended amounts.
Jan 14, 2017 1:48 am
Any money Owen would get would go to his town, so if the group has other use of it then he wouldn't mind them using it.

Anything special about the spikey platemail?

No, it's just platemail. As it is spiked, you can use it to make attacks but those attacks would be less effective than using your main weapon.

I'm not sure if 5e has stats for spiked armor damage somewhere sub-obvious. If not, assume dagger damage.

Great use of the Spoiler tag to hide spell details yet have them available as needed!

Please let me know if there's anything I can do to make your job easier as far as formatting goes.

Spells cluttered the chat up so much. The spoiler tag is great!
