It's early in the morning in Neverwinter and you find the wagon and its oxen team ready for departure.
Kai arrives at the wagon just as the sun breaks in to view. Gundren told him more are to come on this journey but it seems he is the first to arrive. He sits down on the ground to rest. Rest when you can the words seemed to echo in his mind because you never know when your next chance will be
Gareth Devereaux, climbed into the wagon. "Glad to see you here."he says to the driver. The man sits in the back and looks to the staff wielding gentleman next to him. "Hello, friend. I am Gareth of House Devereaux." He extends his hand with a young, energetic, and sincere smile.
Luka smiled, and waved to her compatriots. Greeting, friends!
Wonderful, I was hoping to find Gundren and ask his advice on the start of my journey. This will be exciting to help him.
I head out to find the wagon that following morning. When I arrived, I'm disappointed Gundren is gone, but glad to see the wagon is still here.
The man paused at the cart. With a few long seconds, he surveys the party with a knowing eye and a faint smirk. Everything he wears seem to just. . .belong on him, with a sense of elegance too often lost with lowborn peasantry.
"Gareth of House Dereveaux?" The young man says, seemingly ignoring everyone else in the party. His posture relaxes for all but a moment in a slight bow. Another nobleman? Funny the company that ten gold can attract. . .Then again, I doubt that either of us are here for the money.
"I am Colten of House Duveau, Waterdeep." With another pause, he finally announces with a slight emphasis on the "Waterdeep". "Well met."

I never thought I would see the day when noblemen walk and peasants ride. Yet, here I am.Colten mused.
"Let's get going then, shall we?" He says flatly, more of a statement rather than a request.
Good thing these fine boots fit well.
You spend the next few days following the High Road south from Neverwinter, making camp beside the trail each night at sun fall and breaking camp early each morning. The trip has been fairly unexciting thus far, the highlight being a caravan of entertainers heading north, signing tales of adventures along their way.
Early this morning your group veered east onto the Triboar Trail, known as much for its lurking bandits and outlaws as anything else, your journey still remains fairly boring until the early afternoon. As you come around a bend in the trail you spot two dead horses sprawled about fifty feet ahead of you, blocking the way. Each has several arrows sticking out of it. The woods press close to the trail here, with a steep embankment and dense thickets on either side.
Finally, something worth my time. The young nobleman thought to himself, the familiar smirk appearing on the corner of his lips.
(Ooc) if I hide results dose the Gm still see it?

[7HP to Kai] The other two uglies fire off their bows and both Delg and Gareth hear the tell tale 'woosh' as arrows fly just feet away.
Puck, clearly unhappy that his buddy Kia has been wounded, rushes at his attacker. Reaching the top of the stairs the man looks about a bit before his eyes widen, "AHA! I was hoping my belonging were still here." He walks quickly, with a barely noticeable limp, to a pile in the corner and retrieves his weapons and some of his personal belongings. "Someone who goes by the name of 'Black Spider' apparently found out that Rockseekers had found the entrance. As far as I was able to discern while held here is that a bugbear named 'Klarg' runs this cave and works for this Black Spider. He had ordered Klarg to capture us and send poor Gundren to someplace call 'Cragmaw Castle'."
"He speaks true!" Puck blurts out. "Klarg rule this cave, work for Black Spider."
Somewhat taken aback, Sildar gives Luka a quizzical look. "A friend of yours?"
Taking out a bit of tobacco from his pack, Sildar carefully packs a pipe, "I think you're right, friend, about the continues harassment of travelers along the trail. It won't stop until this cave has been cleared." He leans back along the wall, lights his pipe, and makes the group an offer.
"Help me clear this cave and escort me to Phandalin and I'll see that you're all handsomely rewarded for your trouble. I have business to attend to there, but as I'm late already, we may as well do some good while we're here."

Both yell out as bits of flesh start to melt away but neither appears ready to give up the fight as they each turn towards Kai.
Taking in the situation from his position on the stairs Klarg looks to his right to see his former prisoner battling with one of the cave goblins. "Ah, a rescue attempt, is it?" Nearly trampling Sildar's attacker as he rushes forward Klarg lifts his weapon and brings it down hard on the man's shoulder causing an audible crunch. Despite the numbing pain shooting through his arm Sildar manages to lift his sword to swipe back at the bugbear. With a laugh Klarg knocks the blade aside with ease.

With the battle apparently over the sound of the falling water echoes throughout the cavern, occasionally interrupted by a loud groan from an unconscious Kai. In the middle of the cavern is a fire pit, coals still glowing red hot, with hunks of meat in various states of preparation. There's a natural chimney off to Colten's right, and a piles of sacks and crates throughout the place. A closer search through the supplies reveals that most are marked with the image of a blue lion, the symbol of the Lionshield Coster, a well known merchant company with a trading post and warehouse in Phandalin.
Digging a little deeper into the supplies Colten finds a chest hidden under several sacks of grain.

I have a feeling that the key that dwarf picked up fits here, but let's take a look.

"Well, I think that's the last room here. There is a chest of coin, a couple small vials of red liquid, and a pretty jade frog. There is also a pile of supplies that be belong to the Lionshield Coster." Colten crouches next to Klarg's corpse. He sees to contemplate whether or not he should further dirty his blade, before setting to work on cutting off the bugbear's head.
The lone goblin has finally finished his tantrum and notices that no one in particular is paying attention to him. Ducking into some shadows he slinks off towards the bridge.

The captured items in Klarg's cavern are bulky and Colten determines that a wagon will be necessary to move them. After a bit of searching he does find a small cask of wine, but unfortunately its not a very food vintage.
At this point I need to know what the party would like to do. You have an abandoned wagon that you left on the trail, stolen items that you can recover for possible profit, continue your search for Gundren (although you don't know the location of Cragmaw Castle), escort Sildar to Phandalin, so forth, and so on.
"Unless one of you know where the damned castle is, our guide is dead, and we have no way of finding it." Colten declares, "My vote is that we go back to Phandalin with Master Whi-Hallwinter to get some coin and return the missing goods."
