Following the lead of the group, Silene also retreats and ducks, wondering what Izen is planning to do. Her hand produces a flame, ready to be hurled at the next opportunity.

Even with the dampness from the river, Izen gets a spark and is able to light the rag on fire. Elnorath's arrow flies true, sinking into one of the darkmantles. You watch as it falls to the ground, motionless. The remaining two swoop down, towards Béke and Elnorath, and attempt to wrap their tentacles around their heads.

The hammer connects with the dark mantle, causing it to stagger back a little.

No worries, did the PM not get delivered, that is why I thought you were gone? You still have the burning rag and you aren't at disadvantage, they haven't done darkness yet.

The shillelagh smacks into the darkmantle causing it to jiggle. Elnorath you feel its tentacles tighten as it tries to not get swatted off, it is getting uncomfortably tight and then you feel its beak start to pierce into your head. You all watch as darkness erupts from the other darkmantle as it drifts back up.

Béke takes her short sword and slices the darkmantle hanging on Elnorath, slicing in in two. Elnorath you feel your breath return to you, as it slides off your face, landing limply onto the ground.

Just to be clear, you'd be throwing this straight up at disadvantage. I'm ruling it as a slightly better version of oil/Alchemist’s Fire.

Izen hefts it up about 20 feet before it falls back down and shatters onto the floor, causing fire to shoot out in a 10 foot radius.

I believe everyone but Ramiel is going to have to roll to dodge (dex save).
Izen, roll at disadvantage and take half damage on a success. (This is assuming you threw it straight up, as you didn't say you moved or anything, so it would be landing directly on you.)

Everyone else roll normal taking no damage on a success.
