Silene turns to the others that followed her out of the tunnels. "Like, did we plan on resting up here again?" she asks, her dialect returning. "We didn't spend that long down there, yeah?"

You make your way back into the cave system, past the breeding chamber where Nibbles runs up alongside you to join you again, past the emptied out torture chamber where you saved the prior occupants, and up to the door where its cruel eyes stare you down.

You find no hidden switches or levers, no creases or grooves, the door melds seamlessly with the surrounding walls. The only thing you find of note is its gaping maw, stained with purple dye that dribbles down to the floor.

Elnorath bends down next to the maw, using an arrow he tries to scrape some out to examine it without touching any.

Nature check to see if I can determine anything about it, my initial gut thought is that it's lotus residue and they get fed into the maw

As you place the arrow tip into the maw, you see the frescoes of the cultists start to animate; darting along the walls, floor, and ceiling.

Cursing Elnorath jerks back and draws his sword, ready for whatever the fresco's attempt to do.

I can only draw one weapon as part of my move right? I'm holding my action to attack one of the 'frescos' if they move to attack, will roll it out now though

Fire spouts from the sorcerer's fingertips in a sheet, engulfing his targets.

The fire spreads out through the carved tunnel, the Fresco Spirit dodges out of the way, taking minimal damage.

As the flames clear, the Fresco spirits glide through the wall and onto the floor beneath the feet of Ramiel and Elnorath; one on each of them. Elnorath, ready for the attack, swings at the ground. The sword scrapes through the dirt and the spirit however, you see the strike didn't do as much as you knew it could.

You watch as the ghostly visage of webbed hands reach out to grab you... Ramiel manages to step out of the way but Elnorath, you feel as the hand touches you and seems to sap your very sanity. Take 9 necrotic and -1 to your Wis. score.

I use the spear two handed, more like a quarterstaff, to do bludgeoning damage if possible...
