OOC:
How you interpret what Prios and the Sun Church represent is left for us to decide. Below are some notes.

One of the cloaked figures by way of answer throws a blade at Kvarek.

Everybody roll Vigilant at -5. So roll 1d20 and compare to your Vigilant stat -5. If you roll 5 under Vigilant or lower you can act before the cloaked figure.

Of course one of them would do that.

Oria trusted no one. and upon seeing the cloaked form hurl a knife cried out," "Duck Varek!

Rolls

Vigilant 9 -5 - (1d20)

(17) = 17

As the black-clad figure makes ready to hurl something… a knife, maybe, at the party, the novice concludes his instincts were correct.. time to act

Rolls

Vigilant check (7) - (1d20-5)

(1) - 5 = -4

Jul 21, 2022 11:51 am
Seeing the cloaked figure drawing a knife, Kvarek responds by drawing and throwing his dagger at the rude fellow. He then steps forward to create space for his new compatriots as, apparently, there is about to be a scuffle.

Vigilant 10 (-5) = 5

It's now our fight. Lothar realized as a blade is drawn. The huntsman nimbly moves closer to the foe trying to disarm the man with a strike from his staff.

Lothar, Kvarek, Bartaloum, and Ansel see that the feather-cloaked man is about to throw a knife. You have the initiative to act before the blade flies. (Oria does not see the discrete action in time to preemptive act herself.)

@Qralloq, I think I must have messed up my sheet. I'd like to cast Brimstone Cascade, and I believe I need to roll resolute for a chance to do 1d12 damage and to chain attacks. However, I cannot roll from my sheet. Shall I roll here instead?

In an instant, Bartalom realises the crow-like figure is about to launch a projectile at his new companion; with brimstone bristling between his finger tips, the wizard thrusts out his arm and, on words of arcane power, a fountain of fierce energy hurtles towards the would-be assailant

Rolls

Resolute 15 - (1d20)

(9) = 9

[ +- ] OOC - Success
The mystic can unleash the rampaging spirit of fire and burn its enemies to cinders, or at least scorch them severely.

Roll 1d12 damage, and 1d4 temporary corruption gained.

OOC:
@Qralloq, and the success means the attack chains to the next target (as I understand it), hence the additional resolute roll

Rolls

Damage - (1d12)

(10) = 10

Resolute 15 - (1d20)

(9) = 9

Temp Corruption - (1d4)

(3) = 3

The cloaked figure is wreathed in flames and falls to the ground, shrieking and convulsing in death throes.

Ansel looks around at his allies then points to the nearest enemy standing: "Surrender, or you'll fall just as easily."
OOC:
Turn: I want to activate Leader(Adept). Not sure if there is a roll required for that?
Dice Roller: Ah, I see the button. I was on the go earlier and didn't really spend the time to figure out how to auto-roll with the character sheet. I have it figured out now.
