OOC:
John, you're up!
Sep 5, 2022 4:34 am
OOC:
This is round 1/2 for being dated correct? If I can't attack I will retreat from the room.
While the others are attempting to trip the thing with the rug, John bolts out of the room in an attempt to save his skin.
Sep 5, 2022 9:32 am
OOC:
John - next round you'll be free to act normally (and will need a Sanity roll)
John pushes past the blinded Humphrey and gets into the hall. As he does, the door opposite opens and Mrs Madiera pokes her head out.
Sep 5, 2022 9:33 am
She looks fearful, her hair still in rollers, "Young Johnny, what's going on out there?"
Sep 5, 2022 12:15 pm
"The corpse has risen! It's angry and attacking everyone in the room! Do you have anything to defend yourself?" He approaches Mrs. Madeira in the hopes of finding a safe haven for the moment.
Sep 6, 2022 1:54 pm
As the visions faded away Edith let out a gasp. They weren't real! She's suddenly very angry at the thing that wasn't James. She hauls back and punches it.
OOC:
Aiming towards the face/head if she can reach it. I'm assuming that's brawl, but feel free to use the roll as needed.

Rolls

Fighting (Brawl) - (1d100)

(32) = 32

Sep 6, 2022 10:50 pm

Edith can actually pack quite a punch. Roll 1d3 for the punch plus your damage bonus of 1d4!
Sep 8, 2022 5:24 pm

Sep 10, 2022 12:10 pm
Unable to defend itself. Edith punches the thing in the face, the blue scars do not light up on the rest of the body and the thing's nose crunches beneath Edith's fist.

Sep 10, 2022 12:13 pm
Mrs Madeira is reluctant to let John enter, holding firm, "No guns here," she says in a hushed voice, trying to look past John into her neighbour's room where Edith is laying into the creature while William tried to hold it down.
Sep 10, 2022 12:14 pm
OOC:
William next who will need a contested Strength check if he wants to continue to hold the thing down.
Sep 13, 2022 2:34 am
"Please stay down," William whimpers
OOC:
Rolled along with the bonus die if needed

Rolls

Fighting - (1d100)

(48) = 48

Bonus die - (1d10)

(9) = 9

Still blinded, Humphrey listens closely to the chaos occurring around him. Sooner or later someone will notice and come to check on them and that will be very problematic. Already, it's going to be nearly impossible to deal with the police when they arrive. If only he could shut the door they'd have a bit more privacy.
OOC:
Everyone (besides me) is rolling so well! I still don't know how we're going to get out of this.
Sep 13, 2022 8:20 pm
The Gardiner thing struggles to escape its bonds.
OOC:
As it failed this round and William succeeded, it counts as a prone target for any attacks until its next attempt to break free. That will give Edith a free hit.

Rolls

Strength - (1d100)

(85) = 85
