"We've discovered a secret treasure vault! Look, gems, potions, gold, and a set of gloves," the halfling responds.

"Well, look at that," Tabat says with a laugh. "Nice find! We might as well take what we can here. There may be a fight ahead and some of this could be useful." He helps the others pull everything together and store it for the trip back to town later.

He looks over the potion of bull's strength. "Anyone mind if I keep this handy? Might help if we find a particularly sturdy foe."

Did you want to continue to search the sepulchers or leave that for later and search the rest of the crypts first?

Tabat returns to the south-eastern doors, looking to the others. "There may be more of value for us to find, but let's press on and find who else is in these tombs first," he suggests.

A stone altar flanked by two bronze urns sits against the north wall of this chamber. To the south, three rows of stone pews face the altar. A lacquered wooden cabinet is bolted to the western wall at head level, and a long stone table runs parallel to the east wall. Stone double doors exit the room to the east.

Within the room is a skeletal warrior. It wears a mithril shirt and carries a fine spear. He is ready for you, and attacks.

Khadi is first, then I'll post for Jaware and the skeletal figure.

Khadi lets out a noise of surprise and lets loose a shot from her crossbow on instincts than planning, before stepping back to make sure Tabat and Iseret are between her and the skeleton.

Khadi opens the festivities with a friendly crossbow bolt, but it sails wide of his shoulder.

Jaware launches his own attacks, starting with his standard complement. While both arrows hit, it is only the acid delivered by the second one that does any damage.

The creature steps forward, swinging the spear outlandish and attracting Tabat with fiendish intent. His spear only strikes armor with no effect.

Tabat purses his lips and stands unfazed by the skeletal assailant. "You'll have to try harder than that," he says as Iseret slides around the back of the creature. Tabat launches suddenly into a monstrous attack against his enemy.

Tabat's weapon seems perfectly designed to wreak havoc on the creature, and he gets a solid blow in as well.

'You got this guys? Or do you need some' positive influence' Even as Khadi asks she attempts another shot, though by know she has little faith in hitting. She wanted to save her energy but if the others needed her to start blasting the skeleton with energy she would

"Reserve your energy, Khadi, we'll take this creature down," Tabat says, readying himself for another attack.
Nov 29, 2022 10:13 pm
Jaware is less certain, but only because his bows do little against such creatures. "A little at a time, that's the way," he says, firing more arrows.

The creature understands Tabat is the real threat here and focuses with a mad rush of attacks. He channels his gruesome might into a table blow.

Tabat takes the full brunt force of the undead monster's attack and feels it deep in his bones. The pain is surreal, but he grits his teeth and powers through it. He touches the inside of his arm and feels healing energy radiate through his body, then sets his gaze upon the enemy to detect any malign nature therein. "You'll. Have. To. Try. HARDER!" he says again, swinging the flail with righteous might at the skeleton.
OOC:
Move Action: Detect Evil vs. Skeleton
Swift Action: Lay on Hands, self
Standard Action: Attack, as below (I forgot, his undead crusader trait gives him +1 to attack vs undead)

Rolls

Lay on Hands (Self, Swift Action) - (2d6)

(42) = 6

Attack w/ Flail vs Enemy - (1d20+11, 1d10+6)

1d10+6 : (8) + 6 = 14

Nov 30, 2022 12:57 am
Combat is over.

The undead warrior crumples the the ground in a clatter of bones as Tabat smashes it brutally.

It wears a mithral shirt, has a magic spear, a wooden holy symbol of Nethys, and a set of keys.

The lacquered cabinet on the west wall holds simple religious tools, including a gold chalice engraved with the visage of Nethys worth 50 gp.
Nov 30, 2022 1:10 am
Tabat bends down and scoops up the keys that had fallen to the stone floor. "These could come in handy," he says, then points to the armor. "The armor this thing is wearing, it appears untarnished by time. Can one of you make use of something so durable?"
Nov 30, 2022 7:18 am
'Khepris got my back, I don't need armour... We could see about getting it resized for Iseret? If you don't want the spear, I can hold on to it for now, for emergencies but. Well' She lifts the arm not holding the crossbow and flexs it showing off the lack of muscles.

'Jaware can you figure out what the exact enchantment is?'
OOC:
Sorry morning brain can't recall if Tabat already hasa magic weapon.
Nov 30, 2022 2:17 pm
Jaware uses Detect Magic and Spellcraft to examine the spear.

Spear of the Watchful Guardian
This magically strengthened bronze-tipped +1 spear enables its wielder to better face a variety of foes. Originally created by priests of Nethys for use by their temple guards, a spear of the watchful guardian also grants its wielder arcane aid to strike true. Once per day as a standard action, the wielder of a spear of the watchful guardian can alter the physical properties of the weapon, allowing it to bypass damage reduction of one of the following types: bludgeoning, cold iron, silver, or slashing. This change lasts for 5 minutes.

In addition, if the wielder of a spear of the watchful guardian fails an attack roll, as an immediate action once per day, she can retroactively add a +1 competence bonus on that roll. If this bonus is enough to make the failure a success, the attack roll succeeds.

Finally, a spear of the watchful guardian sharpens the senses of its wielder, granting her a +2 insight bonus on Perception checks.

Rolls

Spellcraft - (1d20+8)

(18) + 8 = 26
