"How are we supposed to..?" Ash reaches toward the door opening between the clock faces and suddenly finds himself and Cade somewhere else. "Un-holy shit!" He exclaims. "I don't know what happened myself, but I'm glad the both of us are here to corroborate the experience. No one is going to believe this shit."

The two of you are in what might be a foyer, except that the front door is missing. You've appeared in a corner (left of where your brain tells you the door should be), unceremoniously dropped (whether you fall over is up to you) onto the cold stone floor. Across the room is a very stout set of doors, with a passage leading off to each side.
In the middle of the room is an old worn rug. It seems like it was originally a blue rug with gold embroidery, though it is now old and stained. The stains themselves are old and red, casting the rug in a dirty purple.

Avoiding the old rug, with its dubious stains, Cade moves over to the double doors across the odd antechamber. She glances down each side passage, as she closes to the doors and motions for Ash to keep up.

Each passageway stretches a handful of feet before turning, the distances approximately even.

Cade looks for knobs or handles and tries to open the stout double doors. "Get ready Ash." She whispers to him.

Cade sighs. "Well..of course its locked. Anyone could get in here and ransack the place." She says sarcastically. Looking either direction again, Cade turns left and carefully moves down that hallway and peeks around the corner.

The narrow hall leads another few feet before coming to a small door, matching more closely the aesthetic from when you first entered the house. It sits slightly cracked and you can see what appears to be a shelf of books.

Ash follows and shoulders his bat, ready to swing if anything should pop out at them from the room beyond the partially opened door. He takes a deep breath, wanting to say something, but concerned it may give their location away to any unseen threat nearby.

Indeed what you could see is a bookcase. This room has 2 walls nearly filled with them. At the end of the long room is a simple deck with a lamp, some pens and a notebook.
The smell of the room is stifling. Loneliness.
Though you can't see them from here

Ash enters the room and looking to either side of himself as he proceeds, heads toward the desk. "I wonder if we will find those books from the invoice in that closest we first searched or writing to compare with the pages we found?"

The desk lamp is basic, older with a green glass shield and a fake gold plated base. The pens are not notable, if older.The desk has no drawers or cabinets, just an older fancy wood. Intended more for writing on than records.

Cade sits down in the old chair to read the entries in the notebook. Her knee bumps into something unexpected. She feels under the desk and finds the holstered pistol. She pulls it out carefully and places it on the top of the desk while she reads passages out loud to Ash.
"Great. So, somehow...we're stuck in in this guy's memories made physical. This haunted house is more messed up than anyone knows..."
