The red marked area is the dangerous area where you have the possibility to fall to the boat or water below. The overhang is 10 feet above the water.

Koram, if you want to be 5-10 feet closer to the boat, that's ok just let me know and we will act out your turn from there when it comes.

Igbork draws his bow and under the cover of the bush shoots several arrows at the man who wanted to 'trade'
OOC:
Three arrows shot or two if Igbork has to move to have clear aim. Also the sailors are flat-footed and Igbork does extra damage
[ +- ] Surprise attack
[ +- ] Sneak attack
OOC:
EDIT: Using a hero point to reroll the second attack

Not much better -.-

OOC:
Koram is ok staying where he's at. He prefers the range while Haitith does this thing up close lol
Oct 31, 2022 12:05 pm
As Igbork's first arrow hits the 'boss' one of the sailors stands in the boat and draws his weapon and runs ashore. One of the oarsmen picks up a bottle from the boat and tosses it at Haitith even though he has a bad angle. He then draws a new bottle.
OOC:

Atticus is up next.

The sailor yelps in pain as the spear hits him in the side. He stumbles back a moment as their leader calls out: "Bonus to anyone who captures them alive."

He draws his sword and jumps ashore as well and runs up to Koram.

Koram scrambles and takes a careful step back. He throws his hand up and whispers a few words, sending a spout of black goo from his fingertips onto the area in front of him. Meanwhile, Haitith moves with haste towards the men to the south.
OOC:
What will it take for Haitith to move closer to the enemies to the south? Can he jump down, or is this a climb check situation?

Action 1: Step 5ft back
Actions 2&3: Act Together (Koram Casts Grease, target = square w/ blue enemy, 1 to the left of blue, 1 to the right of blue, 1 to the south of blue)(Haitith strides, 35ft movement to try and position himself in the square to the south-west of the red enemy)
Nov 2, 2022 2:56 pm
OOC:
There's a 10 foot difference, so that amounts to 5 feet fall damage if you jump. Unless you have the Cat Fall Skill Feat you land prone. You can use an Athletics DC 15 check to climb down, but will allow a DC 15 Acrobatics check as well to slide down without taking damage.
Nov 2, 2022 4:10 pm
OOC:
Would that go for Atticus as well? The only thing he can do is close in for melee combat.
Nov 3, 2022 7:44 am
OOC:
In review, Heitith would better be served climbing, but that is its own action. So for this round, Haitith will instead just move to the cliff edge, saving the climb for next round perhaps.
Nov 3, 2022 9:58 am
OOC:
Same goes for Atticus to get down.
Grom is up (@therecusant).

Rolls

Nov 4, 2022 4:18 pm
Grom transforms once more into grom-rat and scurries past Igbork and towards Koram.
OOC:
all moves spent on movement. I believe that gets Grom to the square south of Koram
Nov 7, 2022 11:52 am
The sailor next to Koram shifts a little as he regains his balance. Both the remaining sailors in the boat picks up bottles and tosses at Atticus and Haitith, then picks up new bottles.
OOC:

Igbork questions the strange behavior of the sailors but suddenly a realization strikes him
Watch out! I think they want to set us on fire! he calls out.
He then focuses the blue sailor and fires an arrow at him. Then he drops his backpack and fishes a torch out of it.

Igbork's aim is true, and the arrow graces the sailor. Meanwhile the other sailor that when aground goes around the grease and gets around Koram. She lets loose with a heavy strike, but Koram dodges easily.

One of the sailors in the boat throws a bottle at Haitit. Seeing the bottle hit, he is emboldened to draw another bottle from the dwindling supply and throws that one, which crashes into the side of the outcropping.

With all the commotion, Atticus and Haitith can hear screaming from the boat. It seems to come from one of the crates.

Atticus hears the scream and out of sheer Reflex springs into action. Doing his best, Atticus attempts a controlled slide down the side of the embankment. Don't endanger the boat, there's something on it.

Is the scream animal or humanoid (male or female).
