2.1 Chapter 1: Into the Stolen Lands

Dalia quietly casts the cantrip read the air, before loudly clearing her throat.

Then if it would please both side I would be willing to act as an impartial mediator for this disagreement. I a sure that we would be able to achieve an agreeable end to whatever grievance lay between you both.

Octavius rises from his seat, draws his Main Gauche and Short Sword, nods to Dalia and says loudly "Truly a civil discussion is for the best, but this one must stand for justice" and points at the Thug Crossbowman

In the chaos the Thug Leader, a halfling with unkempt hair shouts "Stop, we are not here for here for you lot" Gesturing he commands, "Grab this mook, we are out of here. Now!" 

Two lurch forward and grab McTarget, dragging him back to the door. One grumbling about a sling pellet that wacked her in the eye.

The other two, load and aim their crossbows at the crowd. "Watch the gnome, they are unpredictable" one whispers

Tassle whips out his crossbow loads and shoots the mouthy one

Tassle's crossbow bolt flies true ... into the floor. Without hesitation the thugs launch 2 crossbow bolts at Tassle, both which become entangled in the Protector Tree's branchesThe Backroom Goons shout "McTaaarrrgggeetttt" as then launch into action. 2 yelling weapons, quickly catching up to the thugs and McTarget. The third aims a crossbow and fires. The bolt bounces off the Thugs dagger and thuds into McTarget, who doesn't reacts with a soft wheeze.Round 1

Seline is about done with these thugs and their nonsense. She uses her stern look and intimidation skills to try and shut down the thugs saying "obviously you lot need to stop this right now before you end up doing something you regret". Then she readies her acid splash cantrip to hit the bleeding moron if he doesn't give up and leave. She also orders her awesome familiar to run about like a small dog underfoot in search of snackies and trip as many goons as possible.

Dalia shakes her head at the foolishness of situation before making a series of hand motions and saying a prayer softly.

The bloodied thug scoffs as acid flies harmless by. He gives you a ‘defiant teenager" sneer and continues what he is doing.

Meanwhile the Leshy dives on an abandoned plate. Seline you feel a psychic "SNACK!!!!" Resound from the Leshy. Dalia’s divine will fills McTarget, who beings to stirRound 2

Octavius realizes that violence is clearly the only remaining course of action, steps up to the Thug [as indicated by the yellow arrow drawn], considers trying to disarm him for an advantage in the fight, reconsiders and lunges his short sword into the Thug's guts.

Not having much faith in his initial strike, Octavius follows up with his Main Gauche, stabbing it into the Thug's neck

The yellow Thug dodge the short sword, only to weave, face first, into Octavius' off-hand blade. The Thug collapses clutching his face.

The bartender is unphased, and tries to shoo away the snacking Leshy. "My SNACK" feels Seline

The Thug Leader mumbles while wiggling his hands. A faint mana disk forms in from of him and he intensely looks at Octavius.

Octavius you feel your a throbbing pressure attempt to cloud your mind ...

Thug 4 feebly and slowly continues to drag McTarget towards the door. "Unhandmeyoublacktearlacky" McTarget wheezes as he struggles to get free.

Thug CB 1 & 2 load and loss two crossbow blots, which fly randomly through the tavern. Thug CB 2 reloads, while Thug CB 1 drops the handcrossbow and draws a sap.
