A real newbie here!

Hi everyone! I’m Carrie and I stumbled across GP while looking into RPG/D&D sites and subreddits. I have never played any sort of long term game, mostly because so many I come across require you to have a group already (which I don’t) and/or voice chat (which I’m not comfortable with yet!) I have a lot of friends who have played D&D for many years but I have never jumped into it so I’m hoping a text based platform and a guiding hand or two will help me get a start on it!
