Proposed plan 1: If no one has a way to convince the ogre we're not the enemy, the party retreats back to the room with the sleeping/dead orcs. They hold the door against the wolves and ogre and open it enough to let one wolf in, then hold it closed again until the wolf is dead. We repeat with the second wolf, then we fight the ogre. I don't know if we can hold the door against the ogre the whole time.
Does anyone else see other possible chokepoints on the map besides the door?
@Robago, how big is each square on the map? I assume wolves are faster than dwarves' movement of 60 feet, so this plan assumes the dwarves can make it through the door before the wolves move.
Proposed plan 2: The party retreats out of the dungeon completely, waits an hour, then returns. We set a trap (such as flaming oil) outside of the ogre's door, then call him out.
