Also just for clarity, Rhidon only took 1 damage on the beasts attack where it got two 6s and I just mark that on the sheet myself, yes?
This systems tries to keep it simple. All attacks deal only 1 damage no matter the roll. There are some exceptions, Heavy (2 handed) weapons and some monsters, and advanced rules but in general any success only has basic results. I might make something sound more dramatic with a good roll but mechanically it stays simple.
Ridon kicks at the beasts gaping maw and misses and it snaps shut but then jumps atop the creature and tries to get a good grip. Barley tries to get in on the action and lands a blow to the beasts flank.

Fosue increases the chances of by getting a success on a 4,5,6 instead of 5,6 only.
Also any attack without proficiency is at disadvantage, 1d6.
Since you rolled 2d6 I will just say you kicked twice and count the 2nd attack as a hit.
I do side Initiative in my Play By Post games. It lets things move faster as I post then all players post, etc.
It does not matter what player posts in what order.

Swamp Beast
The beast grunts as Rhidon flops on top of him and Barley kicks his flanks. Angry it rolls over to trip Barley and crush Rhidon. Both attacks are barely as the two move out of the beast way.
Krogan moves cautiously into the room and pauses at the sight of the fight. But upon spotting the chained dwarven girl he dashes into the room and looks for some way to free her. Under the girls directions he fetches a hammer from a pack tossed into a corner of the room. Elira begins slamming the hammer on the side of the spike to try and pry it out as Krogan continues searching the hut frantically.
With a shout of exultation Elira frees herself and moves to start on Barleys chain next. This seems to enrage the beast that turns to charge the girl.

Back to the two of you. Don't let the heroic girl perrish to the vile creature :)
