Tabat considers throwing his spear at the man, wondering if his escape might be a tactical failure on their part, but the voice in his head shouts him down - he would not strike a fleeing foe. Instead, he moves into flanking position and attacks Iseret's foe.

Tabat has to remove his mask with his free hand to clearly observe the work Khadi does, but still it's over in an instant. "That...was impressive, even for you, Khadi. The man will live, I think, and you barely had to lift a hand. I know I made the right choice to let that other man flee, but they'll know we're coming. I'm sorry for that. I can't assume these men need to die by the word of our taskmaster alone."

Tabat smiles warmly. The affirmation that he surrounds himself with like-minded, good people is enough to ground him, even in trying times. He replaces his mask. "I will circle the area and keep watch - when you are ready, we'll follow the one who fled."

Tabat carefully peeks around the corner to the northeast, seeing what appears to be twin hallways there and to the northwest.

Brilliant using the 'handouts' sheet option. I was having a hard time visualizing how that would work when I was reading about it before, but now I see, and I like.

Twin hallways leave this entryway, and snake up either side of the villa. Each hallway sports a south facing door leading to the rooms immediately to the left and right of the room.

Tabat makes sure the hall itself appears clear, then checks the door to the south of the eastern hall, opening it if it seems safe.

Tentacles lash out of the doorway, grabbing Tabat, and yanking him in. A gusher of blood torrents out of the room before the door closes.

The rooms are dark, with 15' high ceilings, and the windows have been painted over black. Neither of the two side rooms contain anything of interest.
