Etch gets about half way to the door when suddenly the sounds of rattling bones catch his attention. The three skeletons that had been propped up against the sarcophagi lumber forward, swords in hand, towards the construct.
OOC:
Going to need initiative rolls from everyone. If you beat (or tie) the skeletons' roll then go ahead and take your action.

Two of the skeletons move towards the large armored intruder and take large overhand swings with their rusting swords. The first misses badly but the second manages to catch Etch between his plates causing a bit of unpleasantness for the construct [5HP]

The third spots Droop just outside of the doorway and clambers forward at surprising speed, running his blade through the little goblin's shoulder. Droop screams what you can only imagine are goblin obscenities as he clasps his hand over his wound.

The blade deflects off of Etch's plate, swirly marking in it glimmering faintly as the blade skims acroos the surface (half damage, as in hybrid form Etch has resistant to non-silvered, non-magic weapon attacks). The construct lest out a howl, electric energy charging through the greatsword, and brings it down on the skeleton that struck it [25 vs AC; 9 damage + 3 lightning).

Colten rushes to Droop's side with his blade out within a moments notice. The nobleman thrusts at the skeleton's ribcage, before realizing that his blade would simply slip between flesh-less bone. . .

Etch's blade smashes through the skeleton's collarbone and more than a few of its ribs. It wobbles back a step, but is still standing, even as its left arm falls to the ground.

Jumping to Droop's defense Colten lunges his blade directly through the skeleton. If the thing had any vital organs, clearly this strike would have been its end. Unfortunately for the nobleman the blade passes through without even scratching bone.

What Etch's attack couldn't finish is taken care of when Delg's bolt of fire strikes the stricken skeleton. It crumples in place, old bones smashing into dust.

The two other skeletons make clumsy attacks at Etch and Colten, but neither come close to landing a damaging blow.

Droop slowly backs up against a wall and slides down into a sitting position on the floor. "Damned boneys!"

"Such a lack of grace." Colten says as he nimbly dodges out of the skeleton's attack before his own riposte, this time hopefully aiming for something more solid than the last.

Colten's counter to his opponent's sloppy attack lands a solid blow to a vertebra in the skeleton's lower back. It twitches slightly and raises its arm to attack only to collapse under its own weight as Colten withdrawals his blade.

The final skeleton somehow manages to come away unscathed as Etch swings his blade through its half rotted armor without striking a single bone.

Delg's bolt of fire glances off of the skeleton causing just a minimal amount of harm. It lunges forward to attack Etch and misses badly allowing the construct and the nobleman to make quick work of it. Droop, wounded, walks back into the room slowly and points at the door in the northwest corner of the room.

"Prisoners" he says quietly, "Guards maybe too." The orange goblin coughs up a bit of blood and leans against the wall to support himself.
OOC:
Brushed over the combat with the last skeleton. If you feel cheated that you missed some combat rolls, feel free to take 2HPs of damage as compensation. :-)

"Are you alright, Droop?" Colten says, then had a sudden realization of great disbelief. Why do I care so much about a goblin?
Feb 15, 2017 5:34 pm
Etch, sniffs the air instinctively, then shoulders through the door.
Feb 15, 2017 11:50 pm
"Droop live" the bloodied goblin responds, holding his wound with his hand and jumping just a bit when Etch slams into the door.

Carried into the room by his momentum, Etch is quickly attacked by two members of the Redbrands, who swing their weapons wildly back and forth and the large construct. Each landing a solid attack, the two appear confident that this will be a short fight. [18HP to Etch]
