Chapter 5: Breaking Tusks

Dec 20, 2023 8:49 am
The dragon seems to come as a surprise to both hunters, as they are unable to dodge out of the electrical blast. Though by the time Igbork starts firing arrows, they seems to have clued in on your attack and they are able to dodge out of the way.
WhtKnt says:
If at all possible, Artesia closes to within 30 feet. If successful, she casts command at red, shouting "Sleep!"

OOC:
Sadly you are 95 feet away so with one action of movement you will be 70 feet away. Even green will be 60 feet away after one action striding.

Dec 22, 2023 4:09 pm
Artesia runs forward.
OOC:
Double move.
Dec 29, 2023 9:43 am
The red hunter draws his axe and runs screaming at Koram and Igbork, he stops 25 feet away and his howl fills Koram, Haitih and Igborg with dread.
OOC:
Red has an ability to demoralize all within 30 feet with an intimidate check. None of you have high enough Will DC to resist it, so gain frightened 1.

Grom is up next. You're 80 feet away from the closest hunter (green)

Jan 3, 2024 2:33 pm
Grom orders Fenris to follow Artesia before he follows behind her.

The green hunter strides towards Artesia, draws his axe and slahses at her. Despite a mighty blow, she is able to dodge out of the way. The whole makeshift bridge seems to sway from the movement.

The blue hunter draws his spear and charges at Haitith. His spear finds its target and makes a small wound in the eidolon's side.

The yellow hunter draws his spear as well, but since he can't reach just places himself in front of Koram and Igbork.
OOC:
Therecusant don't seem to have logged on in a while so I will bot his PC for now.

The rest of you is up.

Jan 3, 2024 11:57 pm
Igbork loads three arrows, one after the other and tries to fell the yellow fighter
OOC:
EDIT: Igbork will just stick to using cuss words. Maybe those will hit and demoralize the enemies...

"Haitith!" Koram shouts, throwing a hand toward his eidolon - "Show them your might!"

He makes a rude gesture to the enemy trailing behind and shouts, "Think you can catch up!?"

The eidolon rushes to Koram's aid. The dragon strikes against the foe before the summoner with incredible might.
OOC:
Action 1: Act Together (Koram uses Bon Mot on RED + Haitith strides to engage YELLOW
Action 2: Haitith Strikes YELLOW

One more round of Boost Eidolon after this. 3 more rounds until breath weapon refreshes.

WhtKnt says:
OOC:
Is there a disengage action in PF2E? If so, Artesia hopes to disengage from her foe and try to get behind Grom.
OOC:
There's a Step which is a simple 5 foot step at the cost of 1 action. There's no withdraw action seeing as how most creatures don't have Attacks of Opportunity anymore. Having fought them before you know that these warriors don't have the training for AoO, so what will you do with your last two actions?
Jan 4, 2024 2:15 pm
Haitith's first attack decimates the hunter as the eidolon rips out the hunters arm at the socket. The body falls down bleeding on the ground.
OOC:
That hero point turned it into a critical success. You have one action left, considering you don't need to use your last one attacking yellow.
Jan 4, 2024 8:26 pm
OOC:
Last action will be to re-attempt Bon mot vs RED's Will DC

Rolls

Diplomacy (Cha) - (1d20+11)

You can see the hunter is distracted by your perfectly timed quip.

From behind the (relative) safety of Grom, Artesia sends a sling stone toward green.

1d20+5 : (3) + 5 = 8

Artesia’s sling stone goes wide and misses the hunter.

The red hunter steps forward and makes two mighty swings with his axe. His attacks are clumsy and the dragon easily dodges out of the way.

Grom orders Fenris forward to bite at the green hunter. The hunter is an experienced fighter though, and he is able to keep the wolf at bay.

The green hunter returns the favor and slashes wildly at the wolf. The wolf dodges the first hit, but a second hit the wolf in the side, causing the animal companion to let out a pained howl.

The blue hunter follows after Haitih and tries to stab the eidolon with his spear. He is equally as sluggish as his companions and misses the eidolon.
OOC:
Good new everyone (well, for you at least), my die rolls are just as bad when I GM as when I roll as a PC :P

You are all up again.

Jan 9, 2024 9:13 am
Koram throws a hand up and points at the enemy beyond Haitith. He snaps his fingers, "Zap!"

"Haitith, now!"

The dragon-like eidolon turns its full fury on the same enemy, striking twice - once with his powerful jaws and once with his tail.
OOC:
Actions 1 & 2: Act Together (Koram Casts 'Daze' vs Red) + (Haitith Strikes Red)
Action 3: Haitith Strikes Red

Note: Daze appears to just do 4 damage w/ a basic Will save allowed (DC 19). If he critically fails (9 or lower), he is also Stunned 1. This is where I'm hoping to capitalize on Bon Mot's -2 Will debuff :D

EDIT: Although I do think its funny, I will re-roll the accident '1d29' I rolled for Haitith's second attack lol

The red hunter dodges the eidolon's first blow, but after Koram's daze spell, he leaves himself open to an attack that hits him across the torso.

Meanwhile, Artesia's two sling stones both misses the hunter.
OOC:
@C1NDER actually Daze will be heightened to 3rd level now, so you may roll 1d6 damage + your spellcasting modifier.
