2. The First Delve
Rolls
Wolves' initiative for round 3 - (1d6)
(4) = 4
The Hellions win initiative.
Gabbro jabs once more at the injured wolf, but Jessica’s Bane dodges nimbly to one side. Unfortunately, it dodges straight into Ricard’s blade, which takes its head clean off.
Only one wolf remains. Luther is in melee with it and may attack. Pickles, Johann and Bob are not in melee, but may shoot at a penalty of -3 and the risk of hitting a fellow Hellion should they miss (or move into melee).

"Hack the bone! No quarter!!"
Again the Halfling shuffles on his feet as he finds a gap to target the remaining wolf, releasing as one opens . . .
Rolls
To hit, damage - (1d20, 1d6)
1d20 : (11) = 11
1d6 : (5) = 5
Rolls
to hit, damage - (1d20+1, 1d6+1)
1d20+1 : (14) + 1 = 15
1d6+1 : (3) + 1 = 4
Rolls
Spear attack, damage - (1d20, 1d6)
1d20 : (13) = 13
1d6 : (4) = 4
For once, Pickles is off-target. But only just. His arrow grazes the remaining wolf’s flank, but doesn’t cause significant damage. Nor, importantly, does he hit a Hellion.
However, Luther does land a blow with his mace, striking the wolf squarely across the top of its back. It yelps in pain.
(Gabbro - you rolled previously for your attack this round, missing. As I am a kind and generous DM, I’ll let you carry your roll forward to the next round, if we get that far).
I will now make a morale test for the wolf to see if it continues. I’ll also roll to see who it will attack if it decides to fight to the death (1=Gabbro, 2 = Luther, 3 = Ricard), and the details of that attack.

1d20 : (8) = 8

The lone wolf fights on!
It retaliates at Luther, snapping at his mace arm, but the cleric intervenes with his shield to block its attack.
That concludes round 3 - please roll initiative for round 4.

Rolls
initiative - (1d6)

Despite its injury, the now frenzied wolf attacks once more …
However, clearly it's tiring and Ricard, the intended target sidesteps, easily.
The Hellions are up. Gabbro has already rolled, and pierces the wolf with his spear for 4 damage.
