Secret Roll

Jan 10, 2024 3:17 pm
"Well, there goes that plan." I nod in appreciation to Bajaz for taking care of the ghouls as I sling my crossbow and draw my short sword and dagger. I then move south into the next room. "I hear there's a hidden foe in these parts." I say as my sensitive ears attempt to locate the creature.
OOC:
Move to E10. Using Blindsense ability to attempt to locate invisible creature. If I'm lucky enough to be within melee range, I will attack it.

Grumbling noncommittally, Bhrok seems okay with the effort the paladain had put into prying open those heavy doors. But sometimes it has to be orcish muscle. Nothing anybody else could do about it. The OG of muscles.

Planting his feet wide while rolling his bulking back-muscles, the ranger takes the crowbar and puts his weight behind it to force those f*ckers wide open.

But the damned thing wouldn't move even a finger wide. "It is walled up from the other side." the proud half-orc announces with a bit of a huff in his voice before putting the crowbar away and picking up his sword determined.

Surprising an enemy by stabbing him in the back is hands down one of the best feelings you can get. But you also have to know when to change your plan. Now it is change of plan time.

Before roughly pushing past Bajaz, the half-orc vanishes and assumes a combat-ready pose to the left of the entrance, while waiting for his furry friend Sky to reveal the location of their shared victim.
OOC:
Standard: Athletics
Bonus: Natures Veil - As a bonus action, you can magically become invisible, along with any equipment you are wearing or carrying, until the start of your next turn.
Then moving 35 ft. to B10

Jan 13, 2024 6:25 pm
Pin fully recovers and reviews the events so far out loud to the others.
[ +- ] thoughts to self
Thank you for the healing, again. We likely have 3 or 4 opponents. My familiar can see in the east room, it is connected to the South via that tunnel. We should leave the door alone for now. The invisible one concerns me. We need a way to mark or trap him. I can make a net or fill an area with energies to eat away the life of the enemy but I need to know what the plan is. the last is in a tone of slight frustration (Likely at his own earlier mistake and the current chaos)

Casting Mirror image on himself Pin moves to (E6) where he can see down the hall and support the others if needed and explains his own proposed idea for locating the enemy

Morgan moves to D8 to looking into the room. Trying to smell out the enemies. Congo casts Greater invisibility upon himself and moves quietly to E12 behind the illusion to give him a fine view of the passage leading out and the room.
OOC:
Cast Greater Invisibility with slot 4. Moves to E12 with Stealth. Can use Bonus Action to gain more distance if he needs it.
OOC:
Congo the Wizard of the Tower: Invisible & 14 Stealth

I'd like players to pretend their PCs are currently in the stress of combat situation and while speaking if free action, please respect dnd rule about one combat round being 6 seconds. Especially if part of that action is a spell casting with vocal component.
And as always please double check map if I got it right. Please. I'm just a human and make mistakes. Note that morged is moved to D7 because D8 was already occupied by Atlas by Morgan turn
GreyWord sent a note to Psybermagi

By the end of his turn Congo notice a human figure in the burrow on the east, hiding behind what's lef of a wall - human does not react and Congo understand that he do not see the invisible Congo.

The bat creature flies quickly around the corner. I recognize it, but in that recognition I know that I look a moment too long as the thing drains my vitality. Before I can react, the foul creature sinks it's fangs into my exposed flesh and rakes my body with it's claws. Thankfully, my reflexes are just good enough to wiggle my body slightly out of the way of the claws, avoiding some of the damage. Growling in pain, I get as far away from the bat creature as I can.
OOC:
reaction: uncanny damage
Action: attack. 22 to hit for 9 piercing damage.
Bonus action: disengage
Move to B11

@GuardianRory I already rolled 2d12 for gaze and your failed save means
1. Your maximum of 123 HP is reduced do maximum 122
2. You then take 44 damage
3. You then take 67
If you were at fill HP before that you are now at 1 out of 122 max HP. If you had less than 122 before enemy turn you are down to 0 and unconscious.
Please do your turn if you are at 1 HP or roll a death saving throw if you are at 0.

The silent hunter he is, Bhrok keeps to the shadows until the bat reveals itself and attacks the half-orcs friend. With a ROOOOAAAAR that could shake the foundation of a lesser city, the warrior from the Kingdom Of Many Arrows bursts forward and looses his invisibility. Swinging the Greatsword twice in brutal arcs to split his foes where they stand. "I make you bleeeed, you c*nts!" he bellows at the top of his lungs. Say one thing about Bhrok the Glorious - say he is a well spoken bastard.

Bhrok cuts deep both of enemies, but as his sword swing right through Curran he realize it is but an illusion.
Still the Demon seems to change it's form after the multiple attacks - you see it shrinks a bit, or is it also an illusion?
