Alyndra heads into the room and checks it over to see if there's anything that might be useful.

Beyond the smell of burnt flesh (it's apparent that this is also the room everyone was branded in) and the dried blood seen here or there, this room is empty. It appears that this is the room they use for interrogation of prisoners.

While everyone else is inspecting the guards, Alyndra attempts to quietly make her way down the stairs to see what's down below.

Alyndra makes her way down the stairs to scout ahead, her footsteps echoing slightly on the stone steps. No calls to alarm are heard though, and the room below is empty and lit by torches.

Alyndra heads back up to the group, "The room down the stairs is safe for now, whenever you're ready."

If we actually have the time, then I want one of the chain shirts, a shield, and a longsword. I'll roll for it if anyone else has designs on this stuff.

You have plenty of time for it, actually, while Naat's character is going through the scouting thing. Xharin claimed at least one key off of a guard and a leather club, the other guard still has all of his stuff.

Naat, did Alyndra grab one of the long swords?

She did not take one of the swords at this point, she can't Finesse it, so it makes her more than worthless (-1 to attack opposed to +4 with dagger)

-1 to hit, 1d6-1 damage. It is leather wrapped, so the damage is actually non-lethal.

The door opens easily to reveal a barracks, with a dozen bunks and three off-duty guards talking and cutting up. While their swords and clubs are in easy reach, none of the three are wearing their armor...and none of them notice that the door has opened. Two of them are obviously intoxicated.

The dice really favored you on that one, Moofs. You and the others have a surprise round to act, if you so choose.
