OOC:
You are right Ma. Those temp HP were from way back when you faced the algae limbs and used Amor of Agathys. Since then you have rested. I hadn't been noticing the temp HP in all the posts after that conflict. Gone now.
While trying to keep Admiral safe, ice surrounds Regan and hinders his advance on the hag, due to ice surrounding his arm and warhammer.

Cordey hits the hag with Reaver. Even in its mundane state as a simple (and rather weathered looking) blade in Cordey's hand, it manages to deal the witch a bit of damage. As the blade connects with the hag, something extraordinary happens. The gem embedded in Reaver—the swirling blue-red gem—suddenly flares to life. A pulse of energy surges through the blade, drawing out life force from the hag. The gem swirls aggressively, its colors intensifying as it channels this stolen life force into Admiral’s unconscious form. The energy jumps from the hag into Admiral and the force transfer is visible to all. The hag shrieks violently as Reaver drawns life from her. She attempts to move away, but the sheath of energy forced around her by Regan make a thunderous boom as she moves through it. (Hag 8 damage Reaver, 6 damage Booming Blade)

...
[ +- ] Admiral's Vision
...

As Reaver finishes transferring the hag’s life force into Admiral. His eyes flutter open, and he gasps for breath as if resurfacing from a deep, dark ocean. The gem in Reaver--the blade still in Cordey's hand--still pulses with energy, but now, it is a calmer, steady glow—a reminder of the ancient power that lies within it.

Admiral is awake in the cavern, held up from water and ice by Regan's grasp. Admiral's strength returning, he feels the weight of the vision, the knowledge of Sekkor, and the history of Ezber weigh heavy on his him. The blade has saved his life, but at a cost—he is now more deeply bound to the fate of Sekkor and the Demon Realm than ever before.

The hag, who took further damage from moving through the thunderous boom sheath while backing away from the encounter with Reaver, remains stunned by Reaver's taking of her life force. She is unable to take action this turn. The water lever seems to stop rising.

Huge Cordey takes note of Admiral is now with us and not unconscious. He relays Reaver back to him as he draws back his cutlass to do the ugly Hag more harm but due the switching, he can lay a blade to harm her.

Admiral awakens to find himself… upside-down? He lifts his head, trying to get his bearings, and realises that he is currently slung over Regan’s shoulder like a sack of potatoes. "…Appreciate the rescue, mate, but you can put me down now."

As soon as Regan lets go of him, he immediately falls into the icy water, surfacing —hissing and spluttering —just in time to catch Reaver, tossed to him by Cordey. He frowns at the blade, thinking of Sekkor and Ezber and the terrible place he saw in his vision, but pushes those thoughts aside for later.

Focusing, instead, on the imprisoned dragon’s rage and on the hag before him, he musters the last of his strength and charges at her, attempting to drive Reaver deep into her heart.
OOC:
Assuming both those attacks are successful, I would like to spend 11 pact tally points to do 11 more damage and finish her off!

Cordey's attempt to hit the hag with his cutlass as he relays Reaver to the awakened Admiral fails. The witch manages to evade being flanked at the cost of passing though a barrier of thunder energy. She evades but her movement is not quick enough to avoid Admiral's reaction after leaping off Regan and surfacing from the icy water. First the Defender shortsword slices the surface of her flesh.

But then...back at home in Admiral's hand, Reaver relishes the chance to strike at the hag, now eagerly and deviously willing to obey Admiral's silent will to drain every last bit of life from the witch.

Reaver hums with a dark, resonant energy as it sinks deeper into the witch's flesh. The blade’s gem pulses with a sinister glow, a deep blue-red that swirls like storm clouds gathering before a tempest. The blade gorges on her life force, the energy visibly draining from her, swirling into the gem like tendrils of dark mist. The hag’s eyes widen in horror as Reaver’s gem pulses faster, brighter, relishing the life it steals. The cavern echoes with the scream of the witch’s fading essence, leaving behind only a hollow shell as the blade’s sinister glow dims, momentarily sated, yet still yearning for more.
OOC:
(Hag: 3 damage Defender Blade, 8 damage Reaver's, 11 damage life drain...she is no more.)
The ice melts, the water in the cavern begins to quickly recede back into the cavern lake. The 'living' seaweed on the throne dias shrivels and withers away. The two Sahuagin near the hag's lifeless shell turn and attempt to run toward the cavern exit. As the water pulls away the fossergrim can be seen lying unconscious on the cavern floor still chained to the stone.

Regan's form solidifies back to its regular state and no longer appears blurring to Admiral and Cordey.

Huge Cordey goes to the unconscious one to aid him. Hopefully bring him around. Mental note: Never touch that Reaver again! If the body looks okay now, Cordey will recover his more expensive light crossbow he dropped as it surely sank to the floor.
Sep 1, 2024 3:55 am
Regan's blast easily downs one of the the evading sahuagin. The other tries to pick up its pace.

...

Cordey spots his crossbow as the water recedes and he is able to retrieve it.

He then makes his way to the fossergrim. The fey's hair is now matted and dull, clinging to his pallid face. His skin appears gray and lifeless, with faint traces of blue veins visible beneath the surface. His limbs are still shackled, the chains digging into his wrists and ankles, leaving deep, raw wounds. The chains appear to have prevented him from floating as the water level rose, forcing him to remain submerged as the water filled his lungs. His chest is still, with no sign of breath, and a faint trickle of water seeps from the corners of his mouth.
OOC:
Gene please make a Medicine check (DC 10) to revive the fey.
...

Admiral hears the muffled sound of the imp in his bag.

"Are you done rolling around, yet!?" complains the creature. "Ugh! What in the Nine Hells just happened out there? You've been shaking me like a blasted maraca!"

Then the creature's sudden tirade pauses for a moment before it asks, "Wait...did we finally get rid of that wretched hag? Hmph, about time. And more importantly, when am I getting out of this infernal cage?"

Admiral takes a shocked step back as the hag falls to the ground, drained of her life force. Fighting alongside Ezber over the years, he’d seen his old captain drain the life force of his foes many times, but this is the first time he’s ever done it himself… He’s not sure he likes the feeling.

The shrieking of the imp snaps his attention back to the present. He gives himself a vigorous shake to dry his waterlogged fur and looks around the rest of the cavern. Cordey is attending to the fallen fossergrim and Regan is chasing down the last of the Sahuagin.

Admiral’s never been particularly fond of slaughtering enemies who have already given up but, not wanting to appear ‘soft’ in front of his new allies (especially after the recent betrayal of his crew), he sends an eldritch blast after the fleeing Sahuagin, deliberately missing.

"Damn it!" he growls, feigning frustration, as the blast of energy strikes the cavern wall, knocking a few pebbles loose.

OOC:
Can Regan take a shot at the last sahaugin, or is it too far gone at this point?
Sep 1, 2024 5:45 pm
OOC:
I think Regan could get another shot in before the other sahuagin makes it to the cavern exit. It’s only about 50’ to the exit and the eldritch blast range is 120ft and the sahuagin’s movement is 30’

Cordey kneels beside the lifeless-looking fossergrim knowing the water that filled his lungs may still be his undoing.

With swift motions, Cordey places his hands firmly on the fossergrim's chest. He begins compressions, pressing down rhythmically. After a series of compressions, Cordey tilts the fossergrim's head back, pinching his nose shut with one hand, and sealing his lips over his to deliver a breath. He watches, hoping to see the fey's chest rise. The chains rattle slightly as he continues his efforts. He alternates between compressions and breaths.

Finally, as Cordey delivers another breath, he feels a twitch beneath his hands. He continues, pushing air into the fossergrim’s lungs. The fey’s chest heaves slightly and a sputtering cough escapes his lips, water trickling out as he gasps for air.

Cordey quickly turns him to his side, helping him expel the water that had filled his lungs. The chains still bind the fey, but Cordey has revived him.

"The hag? Is she gone? weakly asks the fey before stating, "I can feel that her demon spell no longer has any hold on me."

...

Regan's Blast catches the other sahuagin just after Admiral's 'misses.' The fish creature falls dead only feet closer to the exit than its former comrade (already taken out by Regan's last blast).
Sep 2, 2024 12:33 am
Admiral’s ears droop just a little as the Sahuagin falls dead to the floor of the cavern, regretting both that the creature is dead and that he was not tough enough to kill it himself.

"Nice shot!" he says to Regan, with sincere admiration. "And thanks for keeping me alive back there."

Continuing to ignore the noisy imp, Admiral crouches down by the withered husk of the hag, searching her body for a key that might be used to unlock the fossergrim’s chains.
Sep 2, 2024 1:24 am
"My allies live, and my enemies fall before me," Regan says stoically, as if reciting a mantra. He glances down at Admiral and adds, "I aim to save people. Sometimes, the only way to do that is to make sure those who would victimize others... can't."

For a moment, the man standing in front of the feline captain is not the loud and flippant fighter. His tone and eyes hinted at depth that hadn't been previously shown. An image shattered as he throws his warhammer over his shoulder and grins, adding, "Besides, if they wanted to live the little pricks should have fought harder!"
Sep 2, 2024 2:01 am
While Regan speaks, Admiral searches the drained, shriveled, and gnarled form of the hag, scanning for anything that might serve as a key to the fossergrim's chains. The hag's scarce garments made mostly of seaweed are matted and tangled.

Admiral uncovers a worn leather, or maybe...human skin?, pouch on the hag. Its surface is slick with grime and emanates a miasma of decay. Inside it is a small vial filled with dark, swirling liquid, a bundle of dried herbs with an acrid scent, and a necklace strung with what looks like tiny, petrified fish bones.

In a larger pouch fastened to the hags lower back, or what's left of it anyway, are a few lifeless sea urchins, deflated and useless versions of those the hag previous wielded as ranged weapons.

Finally, tucked into a concealed pocket near the hag's waist, Admiral finds a rusted key. It’s cold to the touch, made of a blackened metal that chillingly reminds Admiral of the Abyssium ore he saw in his vision earlier, and its simple design somehow looks sinister, with a twisted, serpentine pattern along the handle. The key is slightly larger than expected, as if made to fit the thick, heavy chains that bind the fossergrim.

The imp, still trapped inside its glass prison within Admiral's bag, grows increasingly frustrated and desperate. Its voice rises in pitch as it begins to shout and it can be heard, muffled while Regan's responds to Admiral.

"Hey! I can't see a cursed thing in here! What in the Abyss is going on out there? You know, it's unfair to keep me in the dark—aren't you the fair sort!? You could be fighting off a kraken the hag summoned, or worse, and here I am, blind as a Shadow Wyrm in this cursed glass jail!

This isn't funny anymore! I demand to be let out! How am I supposed to provide you with my brilliant assistance when I'm stuck in here, rattling around like some useless bauble? I have skills, you know! Cunning, wit, charm and a certain... flair that you're clearly lacking in this moment!"
Sep 2, 2024 7:01 am
Admiral tosses the key to Cordey to try on the fossergrim’s chains and, with an exasperated sigh, finally pulls the imp out of his rucksack. "…I’ve known seagulls with more wits than you, my friend, and barnacles with more charm."

He shows the imp the collection of oddities he found on the hag’s person. "Do you know what these are?"

Huge Cordey has fairly much everything except dealing with who he had. He quickly tests the key and frees forssergrim, "Can you walk or do you need to dragged?"

He says admiral, "I never want to touch Reaver again and I can see why the Hag bottled that Imp."

"Aye? What happened when you touched it? And why were you holding it, anyway?"
