While the show continues, Martha sees to her dismay the beginnings of a brawl. She rushes over to the direction of the animal trough and fills up a bucket with water. One of the first lessons the old monks taught her was to take a cold dip when tempers ran hot. This would be a little different, but she hopes it will be close enough.

Skirting around the edges of the fray, the dwarf woman avoids the attention of the combatants and looks for a good moment to unload the bucket's contents over the disruptive villagers.

Despite the searing pain radiating through her body from the vicious blow she had just endured, Vespera refuses to succumb to weakness. With gritted teeth and steely resolve, she shakes off the agony, blood trickling down her scalp, her focus unwavering as she prepares to confront the escalating chaos unfolding before her.

Given the escalating situation and Vespera's commitment to resolving it without resorting to lethal force, her decision to release her grip on the polearm and intervene by grappling Gray's opponent is a wise one. Despite the pain from the woman's attack, Vespera channels her inner strength and focuses on defusing the conflict.

As she moves to restrain the husband, her movements are swift and decisive, fueled by a determination to protect her circus family and restore order to the chaos. With practiced efficiency, she aims to immobilize the man without causing him harm, using her martial prowess to subdue him swiftly and effectively.

With a swift and determined motion, Vespera's arm snakes out, encircling the husband's neck in a firm but controlled grip. Her voice, though strained from the pain still lingering in her body, carries an air of authority and resolve.

"Really, sir," she says, her tone firm but measured. "Let's take this outside, away from the stands and the innocent bystanders. There's no need for this violence here." Her words are a plea for reason, a reminder that civility and respect should prevail even in the face of conflict.

If I want to use Recall Knowledge (as part of my Devise a Strategem check) to try and find a weakness of the drunk guy, what skill would I use?
Mar 27, 2024 10:37 pm
OOC:
I do not understand your question, there is no Recall Knowledge to do to use Devise a Stratagem, you only use one of your action to throw a dice plus int (provided you use an agile or finesse weapon) that you will use for strike on your first round strike against him instead of your regular attack roll.

@Gray the man you punch if for the moment held by Vespera are you trying to hit him or do shift your attack on the woman with an impromptu bat?
Mar 28, 2024 1:09 pm
OOC:
i guess ill attack the woman if the man is currently restrained, thanks
Mar 28, 2024 3:31 pm
OOC:
Honestly, PF2E is all about team work, you should probably hit the guy I have grabbed, he's flat footed, so easier to hit, and easier to crit.
Also, it is very likely that he will escape the grapple on his turn, so getting some damage on him now is probably our best bet.
Mar 28, 2024 3:40 pm
OOC:
True, maybe the rest of the team will be here to help us in time?
Mar 28, 2024 3:41 pm
@crazybirdman I do not see your first attack roll.
Mar 28, 2024 4:46 pm
OOC:
the first attack/strike has to use the roll from Devise a Stratagem. So 15 + INT modifier + trained = 22
Mar 28, 2024 11:14 pm
Gray throw the punch to the man who is blocked by Vespera and hit him (3 + 4 = 7) But the Ruffian does not seem to be bothered much by the hit

The Woman tries to hit Vespera with her fists in order to help her husband

Rhovo, useless th hhh ing, Chow 'hic dem howl you fight !

Her hits are powerful and Vespera fall unconscious (non-lethal strike), the man get up and is ready to fight Gray again.
OOC:
Round 2: Vespera 0/15, Rhovo -9-7=-16 hp
