Roleplay thread: The Unidentified Xenos Ship
well yes I prefer operating in a field, Sister Olivia Belli. But I can be just as useful inside Xenos ship. The talks about abominations did not scare me!
"Hahaha, I like you small man, you'll live if you stay with me." He said as he held up his large gun and pretended to fire the thing.
"What comes I'll crush."
Her hand settles on the cover of the sanctified record she keeps chained to her belt. To her, it is as much a safety net in battle as any of her wargear. It represents a very physical aspect of the Emperor's guidance in her life. Satisfied, she indicates the ship with a tilt of her head. "I don't mean to undermine your command, honoured sister, but our orders were to investigate and recover the scouts. I don't see them, but we are aware of the ships origin. Now, we would be more suited to eradication protocols."
Then, Sister Retributor Domitia Jurgena raises an eyebrow. She furrows her brow even more so.
"I am afraid, Sister Cassia, that Saint Carmillus is not here. However, for the very reason I am not Him, I am open to suggestions" the first sentence is very clearly just a bitter joke made with bitter humour. However, the second sentence sounds truthful. As already shown with the Tech Priest, the Sister Retributor is seemingly open to questions and suggestions.
"We have investigated nothing yet, Sister, and we have recovered nothing yet, Sister. Your zealous suggestion is duly noted, but a scan can only reveal so much. My orders still stand. We shall land, coordon the ship, and extract any survivors. Then, trust me, you shall be free to face Dark Eldar raiders in glorious combat and eradicate them as easily and as perfectly as you are expected to fight in His name, crushing these foul Xenos with your sacred sword and cleansing them with your holy fire". Sister Retributor Domitia Jurgena replies, grim, and bitter.
Sister Retributor Domitia Jurgena looks down at the Pegasus, trying to gauge if there were any traces of a possible ambush set up by the wicked raiders. She knows the slippery bastards are slippery and terrifying, and the last thing she wants is to lead her team into a trap.
The Drukhari vessel itself is far larger than the Thunderhawk in the bay, but Krondo was not quite able to determine its model. Just from the piece above ground it is likely to have at least twenty or more and as you approach the Xeno ship the Auspex starts to give out meaningless information. Something inside is still running and preventing detailed scans. What is noticeable to some of you, are the footprints of Imperial scouts heading directly into an open door of the ship.
Anyone with a 6+ investigation passively notices the footprints.
Also, if you want or even feel a skill might be useful please roll it. At the very least you can accumulate wrath points…

Two tentacular arms come out of the back of Krondo, one carrying the galvanic carbine and the other had a combi tool on it. The large staff like Omnissian axe was carried by him in his two biological hands. This sort of augmentation helped the tech priest to quickly swap between the available armaments that he carried to the battlefield.
Bigby notes at least one crack that he could fit through due to his size, but no one else could. It might be possible to make it bigger though? He's not sure.
Beyond that the only way in or out is the ominous entrance.
Bigby's Passive tech and demolitions isn't high enough to be sure if the alternative entrance can be widened.
The Dominion raises her double-barrelled, .75 calibre, Storm Bolter in readiness.
"Aye. When we enter, we best be prepared." She checks the slide on her bolter, already knowing it's perfect. She maintains her weapon everyday, cleaning it with the appropriate reverence and unguents. "And let the icon of him on Terra be our guiding light."
"Yes, let He guide us..." Sister Domitia Jurgena is about to add something, but stops.
"Land, pilot. I want to see what's inside that ship with my own eyes. Let us march, Sisters!".
The room is large enough to fit the Thunderhawk in. The metallic walls seem a dull lifeless grey and a single rectangular box sits in the middle of the room. As you move in the box lights up with images of the system and its sun. A blue green planet shines and you recognize it as Violet Equinox.
Moments later the remnants of a human drop onto the table from above. It is a male, his skin is mostly flayed from his body, his limbs have been broken at odd angles and yet, somehow this man, or what's left of him, groans with pain. Then the very back wall changes from grey to a vivid scene, a tall male with trangular ears and numerous piercings in his face, stands in front of an Imperial Scout while a different Xeno behind him begins to strip the flesh from the scout's arm making the poor scout scream with pain.
In Low gothic the Xeno, on screen, speaks, "Greetings Mon-Keigh, I am speaking your disgusting language because it pleases me to let you know just how little time you have. This one behind me will be peeled and then we have four more. Can you get here in time Mon-Keigh or will you let them all suffer."
The vid feed cuts out and the wall goes back to grey again before you hear roars of some sort of beast. Then you see them as they smash into the room a small swarm of Hormagants. The vile Tyrannid creatures have been warped and changed by Drukhari sorcery, but the base creatures are still there and, if you don't kill them all they might spawn!
- Resolve Test: 2DN Success allows you to act normally. If you fail, you suffer +2DN to all Tests. The penalty lasts until the end of the scene or until an ally passes a Leadership (Wil) Test of DN 2 + 2.
- There are five hormagaunts one of you gets to go first!

With a roar of exhaust Sister Sabathica Dominissa roared overhead along the ceiling, rapidly closing the distance and firing her inferno pistols into the two front hormagaunts, punching clear through them and the deck plating below them.
Since no one acted, I'll go first I guess? Anyhow, first time in this system, hope I do this right.
Sister Sabathica dual wields inferno pistols, and as she gets into close range she fires a shot at each of the two leading hormagaunts. She has the Dual Wield talent reducing the difficulty for this.

She takes it upon herself to open fire, despite the lack of orders forthcoming. She doesn't think that her sister superior is incompetent, more than the need to give the order is unnecessary. It's clear to all of them what they should be doing. She keeps her boltgun on single shot, taking her time to aim each shot.
That shot deals 11 damage. I'll use my shift for a glory point for the group.
