Let's split the responsibility. I will make sure you saw them as soon as you do your part of the deal
Oct 10, 2024 3:08 pm
I mean I only have information from players that a) Tinks not touching anything, not to mention lifting b) I have impression that Zean is careful to choose a symbol to stand on - and there are quite few of them to stand on if Zean want to lift the skeleton.
Oct 17, 2024 3:47 pm
@Pedrop I did not want to spoil it earlier, but lift the skeleton does not open anything. I would be happy to introduce new PCs behind that door if it did, but it does not.

@badbaron @Psybermagi thanks for patience. I plan to introduce your PCs over into the story over the weekend and expect you to do your PC description Monday.

Note to current party members: I plan to narrate story and some of your PC decisions without asking your permission. You will need to trust me that I'm doing that with the only intention to introduce new players as fast as I can. Hoping for your understanding and support
Oct 17, 2024 4:53 pm
Yeah đź‘Ť
Oct 17, 2024 9:32 pm
I'm OK with that.
Oct 17, 2024 10:36 pm
All good.
Oct 17, 2024 10:59 pm
Looking forward to seeing you all.
Oct 21, 2024 9:56 am
Hope it's obvious now: I haven't had anything against it:) Introducing new players was a priority for me too:)
Oct 21, 2024 10:30 am
Good.
I've added a free discovery or a secret door and secret location on top of everything else. Feel free to interact with the new room along with introductions

@WhiteDwarf welcome. Please note that 2024 changes are not applicable to this game and to character creation
Something I only realized recently - I would your PC may be from sword coast or anywhere else in multiverse, but it would be easier for me to suggest you backstory of how your PC appear in the dungeon if your PC is sword coast based and been actively "adventuring" i.e. crawling dungeons in attempt to gather loot and gain fame. Or a good aligned PC who could be ready to risk his life to save world (of a death curse).

Anomen (Ano to friends) is a champion of Helm and a recently-coronated knight. He is eternally optimistic, devout in his faith, and symathetic to the common folk. At times, he’s very judgmental - mostly of himself.

Hailing from the City of Coin, Ano spent young years squiring for local warriors. Much to his father’s dastardly dismay! Taking up mantle of war over wealth, Ano turned his back on House Delryn’s merchantile business. Making chivalric bones as a young squire, and studying at the feet of Helmites, before eventually pledging fealty to the Most Radiant Order of the Noble Heart. He very recently became a full-fledged knight - a goal which had proven elusive, until recent successes in and around Amn. Now coming to the fabled Tomb, our paladinic hero seeks to prove his recently-awarded knightly meddle.

Aligning his Helm-minded self with fellow adventurers, Ano’s next chapter is about to begin!

I’m not sure how hip anyone is to the Baldur’s Gate computer games (specifically the second one, I’ve never played BG3 but have heard good things). Anomen was always a favorite NPC of mine, so with my occasion penchant for re-imaging and playing named characters, I thought I’d roll him as a Paladin. I might multi class Fighter/Battlemaster, for the Rally maneuver. I’ve not delved into multi classes much, this might be a good opportunity. Not sure how optimal that’d be. I can have a Sheet together shortly.

Does this seem like a good fit for our game? Any suggestions or thoughts?

I suggest you switch to this order from 5e settings
[ +- ] Order of the Gauntlet
That order has history in the land our story takes place: All members of the Order of the Gauntlet are unflinchingly brave, but many of their expeditions fare poorly or meet with outright disaster when confronted by conditions that confound their training and contradict their mindset.
I would see your PC realizing that order's goal to eliminate undead in the land are unreachable and instead agree to help person outside the order because you see her goal both - a more noble and and achievable. (you judgmental nature seems to support this little heresy)

That will happen, and thank you!

Update - I removed Anomen and added a new sheet instead. Ano was getting complicated. I’m overloading on dwarves lately, but kindly submitting a dwarven fighter cleric (mostly fighter). I’ll have him properly laid out over the next 24 hours. Sry for my delay. Cheers everyone.
Good to go, with Ano!

Except for minor spell selection, I’ve got Anomen Delryn ready to go. Hope I’ve not held anything up. Thanks for patience. Simply will wait for a DM prompt, no rush.

@WhiteDwarf this is not exactly as per 5e lore for haxblade, but I suggest following:
Your PC used to know Ixion Vanth IX: a human hexblade. Both of you signed a pact with a mysterious entity from the Shadowfell. There is just one thing the entity demands - should the other one of you die in a fight you would need to retrieve the fallen human blade and return it to Shadowfell. The entity (i.e. Raven Queen herself) would collecting memories and strong emotions from the magical longsword Ixion died with.

The bound between two of you granted by your patron would immediately switch your bodies whenever you are when one of you die. That's how you will appear in the middle of the fight.
Maybe not elegant, but at lest a way to get you into the story immediately.

P.S. To preserve the Ixion memories you must not use his word in a fight, but carry it with you. Sorry, no longsword+1 for free
