Throgin will climb up the rope first if possible

Rolls

Athletics - (1d20+8)

(7) + 8 = 15

Still flying Tinkara try to hammer piton into the floor, but the floor appears to be unstable - it moves when hit strong and with a faint click four poisoned darts shoot out somewhere from the walls. Luckily most of the darts fail to find the target.
Pain of a dart hit is minor, but the poison ...
Tinkara would realize a moment later she were trying to hammer the piton into a pressure plate, triggering a well hidden trap.
OOC:
Tinkara AC is 15, right? One dart hit only. Roll a DC 15 con save to halve poison damage

Rolls

Darts to hit Tinkara - (1d20+8, 1d20+8, 1d20+8, 1d20+8)

1d20+8 : (4) + 8 = 12

1d20+8 : (6) + 8 = 14

1d20+8 : (1) + 8 = 9

1d20+8 : (19) + 8 = 27

Piercing damage - (1d4)

(2) = 2

Poison damage (DC 15 con save to half) - (4d6)

(6113) = 11

OOC:
AC 15 is correct.
Ouch! Stupid traps!

Rolls

Con Save - (1d20+7)

(4) + 7 = 11

OOC:
Lucky. I usually roll high as DM and then wish I didn't :)
@thorsman99 do you want to choose other location for your piton or repeat in the pressure plate hoping trap exhausted itself
Apr 5, 2024 4:25 pm
I move over to the area where the door was before I enlarged it, and see if there's a crack that would have been under the door. Unlikely to be a trap there, I think. Then assuming I find one, I'll pound that sucker in.

OOC:
Good, great.
Tinkara safely secure the piton
Zean and Throgin climb up the rope provided by Tinkara
OOC:
With his passive perception
It takes not much time for Zean to spot Moss obscured the tiny holes in the walls 10 feet away from the doors - that's where darts could have came from. The floor covered with sand and dust that dropped after reducing the stone slab makes it harder to see if any more pressure plates is in the area, but the one pressed already is well visible

OOC:
Tinkara, Zean and Throgin - roll a perception check with disadvantage each if you are looking for more pressure plates nearby
Apr 5, 2024 5:55 pm
Anyone have a pole, quarterstaff, spear? It would be good for probing the floor ahead of us.

I resume flying now that I'm done working with the piton.

Rolls

Pressure plate check - (1d20, 1d20)

1d20 : (9) = 9

1d20 : (16) = 16

Apr 5, 2024 6:36 pm
"Uhh... Tinks... you ok there? Little one? How do you feel? I'm afraid they could be poisoned?" - Zean's usually weather-beaten and not revealing any motions face, this time did not manage to hide a slight expression of concern.

"Nasty contraption, isn't it? Everyone: be careful, there may be more plates like this." - with those words Zean started to look carefully at the tunnel stretching before them - especially its floor and if there could be more pressure plates. Then he crouches and carefully - not to make another step - looks for and investigates the darts that surly have to be laying around - especially those that didn't hit Tinkara. Are they relatively new? Or ancient? Someone had to load them in the trap at one point. Who could it be? And are the holes that arrows exit only on one side of a wall/tunnel or both?

"I wonder why those before us didn't triggered the trap?" - he shares a puzzling thought to his friend Throgin, that was probably still helping others with the climb. He was referring to the traces that they encountered in front of the first stone door.

Rolls

Perception (disadvantage) - Stone floor checking - (2d20L1+9)

(16) + 9 = 10

thorsman99 says:

Zean looks around for the roots - are there any heavy and thick ones - that could be cut off and used like heavy "broom", to press the plates?
Apr 5, 2024 6:58 pm
While helping the others up Throgin stares at Zean and shrugs. Then gets back to work.
OOC:
On a mechanical side of things @Pedrop Resistence is great for trap deterrence. Not sure if you leading or someone with high dex would be better but casting it on whoever is I think might be a good idea
Apr 5, 2024 7:58 pm
Zean, they were definitely poisoned. I got a dose, but it could have been much worse. My own stupid fault, not expecting more traps. Once everyone is up, maybe a short rest is in order? I'm sure I'd feel better afterwards.

Could be our predecessors didn't get this far. Or it could be that the fellow in the mask resets the traps.

OOC:
For now I have assumed that it is cast on me, but: just tell me who is leading and I will change it. Unfortunately Zean has low Dec, but not bad Perception - but Varotis probably has even better Perc.
Status: In battle Dungeon crawl
Reaction used 0 Always ON: Resistance
Holding shield 1

Health: 57 / 57 AC: 19

And it's not that I don't want Zean to lead - I think he can do it for a while - just asking if someone else want to lead for now?

BTW: Zean will collect all the poisonous darts he will find:) You never know when some poison will be handy... ;)

Ixion didn't like the idea of being pulled up like cargo but he preferred that to getting skewered. Once up, he asked the skewered Tinkara, "Want I should close that wound, Tink? My skills in that area are limited but I can't let any of you die on me, and gods know what else is ahead of us."
Apr 6, 2024 6:53 am
OOC:
a hint: you know that darts were aiming at Tinkara. More over you have a meta game knowledge that it was an attack against AC.
Your PCs should guess probing the floor isn't a good idea and the 4 darts have exhausted their one time use poison effect.
I'll provide some more reasoning in OOC channel
Neither Zean nor Tinkara can see any hint of possible pressure plates but they find more moss obscured tiny holes along the walls. Perhaps cleaning up the sand and dust could help see irregularities in the floor's tile patterns?
OOC:
@valdattaMadun I am missing a perception check with disadvantage from you
Could someone roll Athetics with advantage for pulling Ixion up? Very little chance to fail DC10, but still a change
Apr 6, 2024 10:42 am
Ixion, I'm not gonna refuse help. The dart didn't do much, but that damned poison burns like fire. If you've got something that will make that stop, I'd be grateful.

I fly over to him.

sorry missed tgat

Rolls

Perception (disadvantage) - (2d20L1+4)

(116) + 4 = 5

OOC:
What do you do?

Anyone pulling Ixion up ? I will need an Athletics check with advantage for that
Thaddeus and Vatris will also need to get up: either on their own or pulled up
Zean and Throgin still standing on the edge assuming more pressure plates could be ahead
[ +- ] Hint
And in case you still want to try probing the floor
Zean see bigger roots in the middle of the tunnel but they are flexible. Longsword and javelins same of your your party member have seems a better choice.
Apr 9, 2024 7:20 am
Tinkara will try using druidcraft to create a puff of wind and remove some of the dust and dirt.
Apr 9, 2024 7:21 am
"Throgin, I know you probably never get tired, but it don't feel good when my fellow sailor does all the work. Let me try with Ixion now." - with those words Zean starts to pull the rope hopefully tied to Ixion, remembering the time when he and Throgin started to serve on the ship for the first time and had prove their worth for the first time.

Rolls

Athletics (advantage) - (2d20H1+7)

(91) + 7 = 16
