Going to be very busy the next day or so on a business trip… will make the inventory adjustments by Thursday or Friday if at all possible…

The Dor brothers have been approved, but remember that Farem Dor should have a -1 save against spells, not a +0.

Father Petronius is almost done, just need to roll HP. Not sure what to do as a concept for the 2nd character just yet, but with 4 attributes under 10... I dunno, maybe a thief who'll detect 1 trap and then die to it trying to disarm it?
Edit: * sigh * re-rolling my 1...

Rolls
Father Petronius' 1st level HP. - (1d6)
(1) = 1
Come on now... - (1d6)
(5) = 5

You can go ahead and reroll your second character if you want, since almost all their stats are negative.

Okie dokie, will give it a whirl.
edit: I'm thinking of a half-elf bard or an elf ranger, I haven't decided yet...

@kalajel Father Petronius is fine in all other aspects, but make sure you transfer his inventory (and that of your second character) from Item-Based to Detailed encumbrance (p. 215 of Advanced). On the previous page, I posted an example of how to reconfigure your character sheet.

Woof. Working on the inventory, will finish it tomorrow. Not seeing where the coin-weights of common items are kept, though… is that somewhere in the book?

Oh, we're not using item-based anymore? Okay, I'll check out detailed encumbrance and do the switch.

Yeah, ditching item-based for a number of reasons, chiefly that I think Detailed is conducive to the type of experience I want to foster: you're not concerned with what you can carry more than how you carry it. That opens up the choice of whether you want to risk being slower for a greater reward, or hope you survive long enough to play the long game. Plus all the creative solutions that may come out of such a conundrum.
No rush on the characters, guys. With how things are going, I think we can start play after this week.

Ah, I see — 80 coin weight for the gear. I assigned a 50 coin weight to Delf’s spell book too — five pounds seemed about right for a chonky book.
Both inventories updated, the boys are ready to roll.

I don't think spellbooks weigh anything RAW, but I'll leave that up to individual discretion. I don't want to make it a hard rule because spellbooks are already pricy to maintain, and it might be seen as a penalty for simply being an arcane caster.

Also: very nice work on the inventory section, Harrigan. That looks worthy of the public repository of character sheets.

Thanks. Works if you have two sacks and a pack, but it would need to be adjusted otherwise. ;)
Looking forward to the game!

Rolling HP, GP, secondary skill, etc. of back up character.
Rolls
HP - (1d8)
(4) = 4
GP - (3d6)
(151) = 7
Secondary Skill - (1d100)
(49) = 49

Both characters have been approved, but you should recount Father Petronius's encumbrance. By my count, he should be carrying 650 cn of weight. And to answer your question, the whole of your adventuring gear including your backpack is 80 cn.
