"They seemed to have been doing the rates on the spot, so if we pretend on the second gate that they wanted to let us in here for 20 gold, we could maybe get something lower."

Ealdwig, blanches at the mention of 20 gold. Muttering still seems like robbery to me

Wait till the kobolds pass or intercep them? Want to just head south/clockwise around the city or back out of sight before doing so? etc . . .?

Mostly grass from 1 to 3 feet tall with occasional shrub and sparse clusters of trees. A grassy savannah

The goblins watch you with mild interest
[ +- ] A pleasant stroll in the country
Ealdwig's city sences are being overloaded with the abundance of nature. Bug, snakes, lizards, birds, mice, oh, and of course the dinosaurs. I am sure all those big herds don't have equally large predators, . . . . right?

"Let's just use the trail around. If we wanna wait for the kobolds to clear, fine. But let's us the path."

I don't know what the GM has put in the tail grass, but I know what I put in the tall grass ...Last edited Apr 3, 2024 1:11 pm

Yeah let's follow the trail, the grass gives me an uneasy feeling.

You move onto the path around the Remnant by at a leasurly pace so the kobold arrive and pass through the ES gate before you reach it. From that point you can tell it continues around the Remnant wall and there is a path from that side as well. You see a group in the distance heading south on the path.
As you near the goblins at this gate react in a similar manor to those of the EN gate save that even more goblins come out at your approach.

Do any of the new goblins appearing look like the same ones we saw back at the prior gate?OOC:

goblin
Again you are looked over and a scroll is checked before a reply. Sure it's possible. First five your name, race, organization you are affiliated with, and reason for entry. the goblin leader states with a bit of a condescending sneer. This goblin obviously enjoys the little bit of power and authority it holds

Skeeve is not one to dismiss the enjoyment one who historically has had no power gets when they are actually afforded some power. He figures he might as play at this game.
With a smile, "I would be happy to, good sir. Skeeve, human, the Lady of the Manor, and curiosity. In that order."

OOC:
For the record for everyone else, if there is a group heading south, that means the other "unexplored" remnant is also already owned by someone. We'll be going through this exercise again when we get there.Apr 3, 2024 11:41 pm
Blornvid rolls his eyes. "Blornvid. Dwarf. The Lady of the Manor. To see the sights." That last part is said a bit sarcastically.
