I'm just returning to D&D after a couple decades off (Yes I've crossed that 1/2 century mark) and looking forward to getting back into things. Started playing with the original boxed set (still have the ugly bubble gum colored dice) and played consistently up through start of 3rd edition. I still have my full set of 1st and 2nd edition books. Family and life got me away from D&D for a long time, but now returning to do some PbP and maybe eventually some online play. Also played various other RPG systems like Gurps, Palladium, Shadowrun, etc.

Definitely looking forward to meeting some new people and playing in some interesting games.

There should be plenty of opportunities to find a game you like. 5e is pretty popular, as are a number of the other games you listed.

Also, there's plenty of us in the "Experienced" category of 1/2 century or more. I started with the OG Red Box too!
