Dr. Thaddeus Crow, a physician of mediocre skill, labored in the dimly lit back rooms of the city’s obscure clinics. His ambition, however, burned brighter than any surgical lamp. Thaddeus yearned for more than mundane healing; he craved immortality—a secret whispered in ancient texts and forbidden scrolls.
One moonless night, a shadowy figure materialized in his study. Its eyes glowed like dying embers, and its voice slithered into Thaddeus’s mind.
"Dr. Crow," it hissed, "...your ambitions are wasted on this mortal realm. I can offer you power beyond your wildest dreams. In exchange, you will serve me. Your patients, your oaths—they matter no more. What say you?"
Thaddeus hesitated, torn between healing and damnation. The fiend’s offer promised not only mastery over life and death but also the elusive elixir of immortality. With a drop of blood, he sealed the pact, and his hands transformed. No longer clumsy, they moved with precision, stitching together life and secrets.
Now, as the Crow-Doctor, Thaddeus wields the fiend’s fire. His clinic teems with desperate souls seeking cures, unaware of the price—their life force drained to fuel his magic. Redemption tugs at him, but shadows cling. The elixir awaits, and Thaddeus wonders: Can he break free, or is he forever bound to the fiend’s dark embrace?
