Uncanny dodge sadly does not apply. It's one of those things that doesn't make sense until you accept that "attack" doesn't just mean "an attempt to harm someone" but instead "something with an attack roll". If the serpent bit you, that would trigger uncanny dodge, but not a breath weapon, as there is no attack roll involved. It's semantics, but it is how the designers wrote it. I am a bit of a rules enthusiast.

Oops, There's a Kad and a Kel, and I got them mixed up. 6 players, all new to me. One of the drawbacks of a one-shot vs a campaign that has been going on a while.

I thought you said you forgot the rage damage, so I already added +4 damage. i assumed the 1d8+8 was 1d8+5 (str) + 2 (dualing) +1 (magic item), and the missing +2 was rage bonus. Either way, I already added 4

OOC:
yeah I was just reading my sheet wrong and looking at the 2-handed variant (which doesn't get Dueling)

The serpent reals from all of the pain being inflicted upon it. It looks like it is planning something, but it comes around to @annex Omeros and @MaJunior Kadmos next.

εκδίκηση

The word of the gods slipped from the satyr's lips as the frost washed over him, and the resultant hellfire which burst from within him in turn washed over the sea serpent.

Omeros knew he couldn't survive another icy blast like that but pressed the attack and fired more force at it.

Shall I keep all the glory for killing this one myself?! he laughed raucously to the others, then decided to take up a new tactical position near the boat's rear in a burst of twinkling mist.
OOC:
Reaction: Hellish Rebuke. Sea Snake 1 must make a dc 19 dex save or take the fire damage below, half on a save.
Action: Eldritch Blast.
Move + Bonus Action: Misty Step.
He'll move and Misty Step a total of 65 feet south west/left and down to where Chiro originally was.

I thought we couldn't see the heads currently? Last battle update said the beast was fully underwater. Any attacks would have to be ranged and at Disadvantage, correct?
May 16, 2024 2:03 pm
OOC:
Apologies, I forgot to remove that. In order to use its breath weapon, It had to bring its head up. I'm playing them slightly less optimally than I could, and having them leave their heads up for 1 round, and next round they will go back underwater after they use their action.

going ahead and rolling the dex save for the sea serpent

Rolls

Monster dex save - (1d20+2)

(9) + 2 = 11

OOC:
That's actually what I assumed they did. Hence double checking.
As the head moves around, Kadmos will find an opportunity to swing his blade at the neck.

Kadmos will observe the battle intently, so he can make proper notes about the experience.

Kadmos struggles to find any opportunity to strike the creature that is keeping its distance from the boat.
OOC:
Which serpent? where are you standing? and how are you going to strike at a creature that is 15 feet from the boat? D&D 5e can be a bit weird about how a monster can have a 10+ foot reach with an appendage (claw, bite, tail, etc.) but as far as I can tell the creature never gets closer and thus never gets into reach. If you don't have some way to close the gap, I can let you hold your action, using the first attack you made, and when the serpent attacks i'll have one of the attacks be against you. As such, I'll rule that part of it got close enough to swipe at, despite the space it occupied being too far away. If you have an idea to do something about the distance, i'll hear you out.

Sea Serpent
OOC:
If you want to roll a history or nature check, or to spend an action loading a cannon, you can do that.
The serpent on the port (north) side reels from the flames. It does not appear to resist the flames, and being only partially underwater does not protect it as if it were fully submerged.
The serpent on the starboard (south) side sees Kelnes underwater and remembers the attacks its suffered. It elects to dive underwater and try and maul Kelnes. It successfully wraps its lower body around him and constricts him like a snake. Restrained, Kelnes sees the jaws coming towards it with increased accuracy.
OOC:
Summary:
Kelnes takes 29 bludgeoning damage and is now restrained (Escape DC 20). Both he and the serpent are underwater

Rolls

Serpent Breath Weapon Recharge 5-6 - (d6)

(3) = 3

Sea Serpent Constrict vs AC 17 - (d20+12tohit, 4d10+7bludgeoningdamage)

d20+12tohit : (16) + 12 = 28

Sea Serpent Bite vs AC 17 - (d20+12tohit, 2d12+7piercingdamageplus1d12colddamage)

d20+12tohit : (4) + 12 = 16

2d12+7piercingdamageplus1d12colddamage : (93) + (9) + 7 = 28

Advantage roll (for some reason won't let me replace d20+12 with 2d20H1, so here's the other d20) - (d20+12)

(3) + 12 = 15

OOC:
always forget this, round up or down with my resistence?
May 16, 2024 3:26 pm
OOC:
You always round down unless something say to round up.

I forgot that the serpent is legendary, so I'm going to do all of the legendary actions it would have taken now. Please do not post actions until I say I am done.

Sea Serpent

After Aurora took her turn, Serpent 2 would have taken a legendary action to attack Aurora, but she was out of reach so it tried to bite Kelnes.
After Serpent 1 went, Serpent 2 would have used its tail against Isaiah.
After Kelnes, Isaiah, and Chironides went, Serpent 1 would have, with only 1 target in reach, Serpent 1 would have tried to bite Omeros and then slap him with his tail.

Tail attacks knock people 20 feet away, but for now I will ignore that and only impose that on future tail attacks. With serpent 2 taking its turn, it now has legendary actions again, though most likely it will spend all of them on Kelnes as it now has him held underwater and is thus out of range of everyone else.
OOC:
Summary:
Isaiah takes 9 bludgeoning damage
Omeros takes 17 damage (15 piercing, 2 cold)
Once you see this post, Aurora may go.
