Ok a few questions:

1. What Heritages are available?

2. What traits can I choose from?

3. What is Xenotech?

The character creation process is spelled out at the beginning of this section. Things have moved along since then so here are the races

@Turanel2 : I updated the Hardlight trait of the hologram heritage so it is a bit more interesting. See your sheet.
The rules list all the traits but they are straight forwards for the most part. Instead of predefined classes, Tiny Frontiers uses Traits to express what your Explorer excels at doing. Here is a list

Cybernetic Trait
Cybernetic Traits represent fleshy bits of yourself being’ replaced with fancified metal ones. A character can only have 2 Cybernetic Traits.
Augmented Reflexes:
Built in Hard-Drive Cloaking Field Cyber-Arms Cyber-Eyes
Cyber-Legs Hidden Weapon Imbedded Ammo-Clips Subsurface Armor


I can also help you create your own traits to fit an idea you have if you like

Xenotech is any technology that is useful, rare, and difficult to find. Most Xenotech is almost impossible to recreate because it’s made of unknown materials, has anomalous properties that can’t be explained by modern science, the fuel that powers it is so rare, or some mad scientist made it and wrote really poor documentation.

Dragon, you can create an "engineer" professional by selecting traits accordingly.
For example: Engineer, Hacker, Xenotech Expert, or Blacksmith.
You may wish to take some of those now, and some combat ones, and delay some of those to buy with future XP.

Ok making the sheet and for some reason I can’t edit the Traits? Like I’m clicking the little white line but nothings happening?

submit a character by
1 clicking "Game Details" (bottom Right of page)
2 scroll down to "Submit a Character" and use the drop down to select your character then click "Submit"

Character sheets are viewable if made public or by GM for games they are submitted to

OK Allen has a roll and 3 traits but for starters I am limiting it to a role and 2 traits. Pick one to remove and I will fill in details on the rest.

@Dracostern I forgot you were human so your heritage is a bonus trait so you start with Role + 3 Traits. The last thing then is to pick either a minor Xenotech device or an advanced tool
I will get Dracostern / Allen Magnisinto the story in the next day or so

At this point I think we may as well allow full access for everyone to the base character format. All start thinking about an additional trait so that all PC will have the following.
Heritage + Role + 3 traits + weapon proficiency and mastery

The added options will go into effect after this fight so try and survive it. I will be bringing Dracostern into the story mid combat so that should be fun. I will add XP up and so those PC that have been around longer get credit for it.

Hey Psybermagi,
For the 3rd trait I was thinking about something closely related to being pilot.

Can we create something like:
Vehicle Knowledge: He can recognise and describe most vehicles, even ones from other factions or species. Roll 2d6, success on 3, 4, 5 and 6 to recognize obscure or significantly destroyed vehicles.

Would that make sense?

Sounds like a variant of Educated?
Educated: You gain Advantage when checking to see if you know specific information. If you don’t know something, you do know the best place to find it.
How about
Ship Design: You gain Advantage when checking to recognize and understand a ship class or system function and use. If you don’t know something, you do know the way to find it.

I thought that I was all set with that. Is the following wrong?

Role: Communications
Trait 1: Darkvision
Trait 2: Hacker

Weapon Proficiency: Light Ranged
