Moving to your respective terminals on the bridge you find that the majority of ships systems are still locked out but you have sub-light thrusters, shields, and life supports. From what you can tell something in engineering is working on resoting ships systems but all attempts to reach engineering and all sensors to it have been cut. The emergency allert system may still be connected in there but you have no way of knowing.
Adonis works on getting external and internal sensors back online Roll a 2 tests, add aproach details if you have any ideas and aplicable traits/background
Stinger has been able to reconstuct the ships flight path within this system and found records of the ship stationing itself over a habitable plannet for a couple of days before heading to orbit this gass giant. You can roll to help with resotoring sensors ro continue to dig into the logs. Let me know.
Alandra checks over the condition of the others. Though Adonis is an inorganic her instruments have his vitals on file and she is able to determin that he is working within normal parameters. Scans of Stinger rveal he is also healthy but that he suffered recent trama indicative of oxogen deprivation. Apparently the bridge O2 levels dipped to low whne life-support was reduced but there are no signs of permanant damage. There are howerver signs of both his and her own body fighting the same infection. Odd. Few infections can cross alien physiology. She say signs of this in medbay but as it was not a major concern at the tme had moved on to more pressing matters. Roll test to diagnose the infection and/or recover previous logs on it. Same as with Addonis roll and add details
"I assume you’re here because of the announcement?"
After he finishes speaking, a wave of intangible familiarity flashes through him. Then a hazy, glitching static disrupts his memory database before he can identify who exactly they are. He tries pushing past the static to conduct a scan of the individuals in front of him.
The other two are able to see Adonis, a robot with a green, T-shaped visor dressed in uniform. He wears his badge on his breast to show his membership to the ship. "I am ADS-4, common name ‘ADONIS’, and I was the communication officer before the ship went dark. The ship sustained significant damage, as I’m sure most of you are aware. We should best get to work as soon as possible. Most of the sensors are down. What is the status on your side?
He moves to the console, and while he checks on the sensors, notices activity with the ship system. Someone else is out there, an engineer perhaps? He decides to fix the sensors in engineering first, trying to isolate where the problem is, and whether the problem is shared by other rooms.

"This blasted headache", she thinks lowering her weapon and brushing her hair out of her eyes.
"Hi, I’m the medical officer. Well, at least that seems to be the only thing that’s clear in my memory. Let me take a look at you.", she says.
She pats her sensible flight jacket and then opens one of the many pockets on her cargo pants. She takes out the portable medical scanner starts to scan Stinger. It shows signs of infection, an infection matching her own.
At that moment, a robot enters the bridge announcing his presence.
The 5’2" lady turns, holding her device in front of her flight jacket.
"That would be right, I’m Alandra. When I unlocked the medbay doors, the Quarintine procedure read ‘Mutiny’. I suppose that explains why the ship is so empty. We seem to have some sort of infection. I don’t know about both of you, but I’m experiencing some memory loss. Let me see if I can route out the cause.", she says.

Checking internal sensors he finds they are still locked out but he figures that once they get the entire crew they might be able to do some adjustments to the ship roster to get around the lockout. As he tries varies systems his access does give him access to he notices that all of engineering is entirely offline. It is not locked out like most of the rest but just unresponsive. Battle damage perhaps? The thsters worked and power is getting to the rest of the ship so at least the reactor is working.
After investigating he concludes that both the officers either took turns locking down systems or ech was trying to lock out the other. Firts officer and captains at odds, a mutiny, and you are all here on the abandoned ship. If you can get to the main processor and reset it to factory default from the hardcoded backup you might be able to designate a new captain and reset all the system lockouts. That will take some time but without a system analyst you lack the skill to circumvent the ships security measures.
Alondra After scanning the others and treating minor ailments, the others being more or less health given their situation, Alondra tries to scann deeper. The med bay scanners can do better but are also slower. A quick scan reveals that all on teh bridge are suffering the same infection, even the Autoborg coms officer AAdonis. Narowing it by comparison you isolate a crystalin life form that binds to nerves and circuits alike. As you scan you find signs os a treatment applied within the last week. Syncing your PDA with a general purpose terminal on the bridge you check with the medbay logs and find teh formula for the treament and are able to access the logs.
Though the source of the infection is never identified there is an exhaustive study of the infection before the treatment was developed. The treatment limits the growth of the infectioon but also has negative effect on those being treates as the treatmetn is very painful, even to teh Autoborg. The treatment was a stop gap to give extra time for additional analasys. only it looks like whatever that was got wiped form the system along with most of the recorded data on the infection.
Fortunatlely Alondra had a habit of adding tidbits of her daily rutine to her own diary. She should be able to write a simpe search to help retrieve data from that, once she gets it straightened out. It too has had its key works and date index stripped from the system. A recoery program might help but tough no novice to basic programs Alandra is no hacker or system admin.
After listening to her introduction, he... "I'm Stinger White blade this ship's pilot. My memory is also affected, and still a bit dizzy from the thin air, and I haven't been able to find some find the time to go to my quarters and bring my music PZ... you know I love to hear music when I'm piloting!"
As Adonis arrives... " Welcome Adonis... Comms?... I guess you managed to send that meeting message, great idea! I woke up here, but I'm glad you made the announcement. Meanwhile, I managed to pilot the ship out of danger, and recover some navigation logs. Please check them." ... "And, if you are about to fix the sensors, I may be able to help."
"Oh, a med check, yeah sure, makes sense. Please make protocol checks on everyone... And what were you talking about mutiny? According to one log, some officers run away from the original captain." somehow Stinger trusts Alondra, he can't remember why, but it seems like he trusts her for a long time now.

The others have similar experiences. It's like the longer you are up and focusing on event the more you can recall. As Alandra runs her scans on Sam she finds similar results to the others. With all the cybernetic implants in the engineer it may be that analyzing her is the key to finding out more about the crystalin infections. Checking her logs on Sam, now that she can trigger of of her current scans she finds promising notes in her records. However additional research and testing will be needed before she is willing to enact another treatment. For this she will need to get the medbay back to full functionality, try to find any early samples to see if the infection has any mutations before or after the first treatment and then revise her notes proposed treatment plan based on those findings. The notes look promising and the current infection is not too bad so there must be something missing in the logs she has uncovered to cause her to try the stop-gap treatment instead of waiting for a complete cure.
Ok, so we all got this virus. It may, or may not, be related to whatever happened to the captain and the first officer.
I have a plan...
Adonis, you mention there are 6 people on the ship, please can you check where are the other 2?
Sam, there are still several systems offline, to start Alandea will need the medbay in full functionality soon, and we need the astrogation system if we are to leave this place. Can you please check those?
And Alandra, do you think you can continue the virus research soon? Please help Sam.
I'll help Adonis, then we'll try to open the cargo bay and have access to fuel and whatever else in there.
Better stay in pairs as the other 2 passengers have not come... and they may not be friendly. Keep in touch with the comms.
What do you think?
Sam has cleared engineering and all of her tools of the SV so needs to be careful when connect any of her diagnostics tools to the ships systems or risking spreading the SV further.
Stinger, as a pilot, may have not been paying attention in the training sessions before the crew launched and so missed the fact that the ships fuel is generated by the Reactor. The cargo hold could have some spare fuel but with the reactor online there is no reason for you to be out of fuel. Unless there is another problems preventing the reactor from filling the fuel tanks.
Each system or point of Structure damage your Starship takes one hour of repair. No Test required, just the downtime and access to appropriate resources and facilities. Any other situation will be adjudicated by the GM.
Fuel is recovered at one point an hour, just like Structure. However, most Starships have renewable energy sources (nuclear, electromagnetic, or other types), and do not require facilities to recover Fuel, just down time.
"Which system is priority? I'll help in Sam in anyway I can. What do you day Sam, astrolab or medbay? I'm no mechanic, but I am an extra pair of hands.", Alandra continues grasping her shockstaff in both hands.
We also have the issue of who caused the mutiny or was a part of it. My last entry have me sealing engineering and pulling the plug to keep the mutineers from taking over the ship. We also have the captain fleeing the ship and leaving it to its doom.
Sam goes to work first disconnecting the medlab from the other systems so that it will run independent from the rest of the ship. Once the medbay is disconnected from the ship and only then she begins to work on restoring it back to its defaults and erasing the virus from the system.

While backing up and cleaning what she can Alondra finds another interesting record.
Stinger finds another record that may be relevant as it indicates astral navigation was lost shortly after the attack. Perhaps the virus was injected into the ship systems by the attackers?
Sam theorizes she may be able to clear the trojan once the EIW AI finishes a full analysis of the SV. But for now this is the best solution without the risk of data loss and further system corruption.
With all key data of navigation, communications, astrogation, and medical logs backup up you can now move to the other systems. The other quickly learn how to help with the minor, though exhaustive task of disconnecting all system interfaces and each additional heler can cut the time for Sam to repair another system by 25%. You move on the Life support as the next most key system but then need to pick a priority.

"Sam, look at this. We may have a source of the infection. Bet you It's in Cargo. I'm going to hail Stinger. He needs to know.", she says showing Sam the log.
She hails Stinger over the coms, "Stinger, I've managed to recover some of the medical logs pertaining to the disease. It's slow going. If possible, I will need a bigger system to help compile all the data. When Adonis is done with his sweep, could we ask him to transfer the data to the rec room's media library? I think the system has a little more juice than this console. However, we may have a more pressing issue first. What little data I've recovered points to some sort of artifact we must have picked up during the journey. According to the logs, I must of thought it was source or partial source of the infection. This log says the crew members that came in contact with it starting seeing things. I think we may want to keep cargo bay locked down and scan it for whatever this artifact is, just to be safe. I'll continue to dive into this logs until we get a moment to transfer the data to the rec room. Let me know if you find anyone else on board. They will have to be scanned for the infection."
Alandra turns to Sam and says, "Hopefully, the artifact is still on board. Maybe we can synthesis a cure from it, or blast it into space."

Summary: We've recovered an artifact from ******. It's a large, crystalline structure emitting a low-frequency hum. Dr. Vespa believes it may be some sort of communication device. We've stored it in the cargo bay for further analysis.
Since this is going to take time, getting our galley up so we have food, quarters to have a safe place to rest is going to be vital. If we cannot eat and sleep we will wear ourselves out. The other area that is going to be critical is the bridge. Doesn't do us good to have things functional if we cannot use it. After that we need to be able to move and have our defenses up so we can protect ourselves.
Unless something else changes to move something to a priority that is where I will focus. An extra hand especially in areas that you have you have expertise will help me get things up. Just remember do not connect anything until it is known to be clear. I am still keeping things isolated which mean it won't interface as well but will keep the chance of reinfection to a minimum.

Stinger joins back up with Adonis in the bridge where he finds the autoborg still working on sensors but the increased in system comms chatter is increasing in frequency. Stinger thinks back to their initial position and predicament. The mutineers that fled were heading to a habitable planet and what little he sees in the logs that was likely further in system. So why would they be near the gas giant and its rings? He best guess it that they may have been trying to use the rings to hide. And if there is in system chatter it means either the mutineers are talking with someone else or a couple of new variable need to be added to the mix. But without external sensors or the full comms system up and working to descramble the messages you have no idea who or what they are and what they might intend.

Items fixed and cleaned of the virus and isolated from infected systems. The bridge it the main ship network with engineering able to act as a secondary network hub and these two are currently disconnected from each other. You will need to do the bridge last or lose access to any not cleaned system. Anything fully fixed and cleaned of the virus is on the engineering network. Everything else is on the bridge network. Full internal scanners rely on security & Life support sensors, which are currently on separate networks.
Ex : Engineering <yes> Life Support >NO< Bridge <yes> Armory(internal security)
Until you get the bridge and armory fixed and cleaned internal sensor are not integrated enough for a ship wide scan. So until all systems are fixed you can not perform internal scans so will have to wait or search manually. If you want to FF through minutia just list order of efforts and I will inform you of changes to the status and pause for player changes/updates if the situation merits it.

The voice is unfamiliar to all of you and as you are all helping Sam with repairs no additional information can is passed with the audio that Adonis patched into the PA system.
Rushing to the bridge Adonis checks the comms logs and finds that the ships communication identifier can not be found but that may be simply due to their scrambled nature. The communication is not a general broadcast but other than that little can be determined with the currently limited external sensors. The ship is in system but depending on their ship you may have minutes or hours before they would be within detection range.
Slipping into his station Stinger checks what external sensors he hsa but can not find any nearby ships on visuals. This gives little comfort as you drift in the loose orbit about the gas giant's rings which could hide a ship in or beyond them. Stinger checks his system again and though still infected with the SV he is glad that he currently has full control of the thrusters and stealth systems.
Alandra and Sam can acompany the others to the bridge or go to other ship statios Let me know
Adonis, are able to hail that ship? I'd prefer to talk with them, ask them who they are, before allowing them to approach more. Stinger is also worried that these could be the mutineers that run away leaving the ship in this bad state.
In any case, Sting gets ready to turn on stealth mode and fly into the debris. He doesn't execute these yet, but without weapons, it seems to be the only defensive action he can do quick enough. The reply comes back after only a moment. This is the salvage vessel Iron Vole. We noticed your transponder a while ago but it seems to be having trouble so we only just located you. Do you require assistance?
Then, to the internal comm Sorry to hurry you Sam and Alandra, but it seems we have company in the vicinity. How long will it take to have the mid-range sensors online?
I would not have the come aboard or ask their help. It is a salvage ship. If we're not alive they can claim the ship as salvage. If we were in a better position or really worse one I would chance it.
We not even sure where we are, we can repair our ship but it will take time. We also have unknown viruses onboard if they dock we could infect their ship and it will spread.
This will be faster than cleaning the entire thing. Though none of you are master programmers with an engineer and at least one bridge crew you have a decent chance. Standard test for any/all who which to assist.
Through the external comms, he says, "At this time, we are unsure if we need your assistance. A virus has infected our ship, but we are currently synthesizing a cure. It should be handled. Should we need your help, however, I would not advise boarding for the risk of spreading the virus."

We'll be prospecting in systems for a bout a week. Give us a holler should you need anything. Signing out. and the line goes dead.
The three of you manage to get access to extended sensors after about 12 minutes of frantic work. You gain access to the sensor but still have some issues with the higher system functions so details are difficult to extract. However even just this much enables you to triangulate the other ship. It is currently about 1 hour away and heading in your general direction.
Chronometer(Date&Time): 04:30 @ 2236-10-03
Since the other ship is still one hour away, Stinger starts the smaller thrusters to slowly move into de debris. With thrusters and sensors online, he is confident in piloting the ship should the need arises.
To his friends I still don't trust these guys. They say they want to attach something... it might as well be an explosive. And the cut the comms.
Together Stinger and Adonis figure they can set up a simple ping announcement and tie it into the PA to help you keep track of the ship, or any other moving power source. This should only take about 5 minutes. The faster the ping the closer the ship, the louder the ping the more power it is outputting. That is the best you can do for now without continuously monitoring the scanner raw data and making continual calculations.
In the meantime Stinger is thrilled to find that though he can't map out the rings of the gas giant he can at least monitor a much larger area manually. This should let him maneuver through them should the need arise.
If anyone has a better idea were I should spend my energy speak now or forever hold their peace.
Sam I agree, the thrusters are halfway online so usable, next should be getting full functionality of the stealth engine.
Then he starts thrusters, on low impulse (not to be obvious to this other ship) to get inside the ring.
On the internal Comms for his friends to hear I'll get slowly inside the ring, so to get away from this ship. All suggestions are welcome for next steps

Fortunately the Engineering system has an initial revision to clean the EV from infected systems. You begin with a all portable devices and tag ones that are clean to help keep track of the work. Everyone's personal portable devices are now cleaned of the EV and have limited resistance. The EW/AV system should be able to remove the EV by the end of the day but that would still leave the officer security lock out you will need to bypass by resetting each system, though that will be a lot quicker once you fully restore the ships internal system network.

Currently all ☠️ systems are isolated from clean/reset systems✅. The only systems totally offline❌ are weapons.
Resetting the systems to archived default still takes 1 hour each and clears all locks and removes all electronic virus☠️.
To be clear : Do you wish to take all defensive systems offline to clear/reset them (will take at least 1/2 hour with help) or are you just trying to get them up and running. (I assumed the latter)
If that is working taking time to clear each one fully of the virus would be better with maybe the exception of the force shields by just getting them working then coming back to them once the rest of the items are up.
Sam is of the opinion of let's get everything back to where it should be then they can tackle the things they are locked out of and not doing just a partial job as that would mean a chance of reinfections and having to redo work.

None of these systems have the full dedicated computation power to operate at 100% without the ship computer system (Bridge). Engineering has the backups, provides power, etc but it does not have the computation power to support all the systems.
The scanners are physically fine but have the virus and lockouts on some features. Sam is able to bypass the lockout and gain direct access to the scanners and Holo-projectors in a couple of minutes but to clean the virus you will either need to either wait for engineering to finalize the virus removal procedure or take them down entirely to purge the virus and remove all locks. If you take scanners offline now then Stinger would have a much harder time navigating as he would be reduced to driving by camera again until they came back up. (30 minutes with the help of Adoniz and Alandra)
Stinger focuses on driving and just stays in the pocket with minor updates to his position.
If you give we a plan of action and/or time frame to work with I will alert you if/when anything changes.
At this point to finish fixing critical/basic systems, it looks like some things will need to be taken offline and fixed. If you want to wait we can though I don't suggest it but I can work on less crucial/interior systems.
I could try and get the holographic emitters up so we have a way to camouflage the ship but at some point I am going to have to take the thrusters offline to fix it and the stealth engines. The same is true for scanners. After that I can get going on the weapon systems. That will get all the major areas fixed except the bridge. At that point we have an operational ship just lack of coordination. Once the virus is out of the smaller systems we can integrate the ship again and work on getting rid of the lockouts.
Sam, do you think it we may need to move further inside the ring? I mean, I can either stay at the helm and be ready to move if this ship finds us and approaches, or go and help with the repairs.

While the ship can move in atmosphere it is not fast or maneuverable while doing so. The gas giant would crush the ship if it went too low but there are a couple moons that you can go to . Fortunately the shields and cloaking system are now fine so you can simply move out of the rings and orbit the gas giant.
Where do you want to park for repairing the engines and scanners and possibly the rest of the ship while you are at it?
The engines, scanners, and weapons are the last major system that need to be reset. Other than those you still need to reset the internal security(armory) and reset the primary computers on the bridge. All the jobs will take about 1/2 hour each with two people helping Sam. Adding a third would do little so 1 can remain on the bridge or in engineering to monitor things or finish checking out the rest of the ship

Tactical Officer Krom, I am in a storage unit of some kind, filled with crates. I am in need of medical attention, badly damaged in the chest. If anyone is out there, please, head to storage and find me.
"Stinger I'm on it. You all keep staying the course. Sounds like Krom is in the cargo bay. If possible, I'd like back up when I go in. I have a suspicion that's the source of all our problems.", she says grabbing her med kit.
Stinger finds two moons that would be safer place to hide for finishing mayor repairs. Once the salvage ship is gone, he pilots to the closest of this two moons and sets a orbiting course on that moon. A low-ish altitude orbit, so as to be confused with the moon itself if some new ship checked from afar.
Sam, the ship is hidden in this orbit now so I can help you, what's our repair status? Which systems do you plan on working next?
I'll meet you at the door of the cargo bay to enter together. And with that, Stinger goes to the cargo bay door with Alandra.
Ok let's start with the engines and get the thrusters and stealth engine back online. I will work on the scanners next. We maybe able to then isolate the rest of the infected systems and get the bridge up. Not sure if we want weapons next or the armory and security. I want to get the ship back into a working state before handling non-essential as far as operating the ship is concerned.

I'm going to say you go ahead and finish resetting the ship in the next bit. This will take about 2 hours. Updated ship status to reflect this. You can go ahead and get to know each other, make plans, and investigate further if desired.
Helping the large Tyranax to the medbay Alandra performs a preliminary scan reveals that they have suffered near fatal wounds as well as the same infection that afflicts the rest of the crew. Once in the medbay and into the treatment tank Krom quickly falls back to sleep and a deeper scan reveals multiple trauma, including dehydration and near starvation, that will require hours of treatment to fully recover.
Under Sam's directions several of you work to finish purging the computer virus from all systems while others scour the ship from prow to stern. Working for a bit over 2 hours you settle back now with a clean and factory default ship save a few problems. Gathering together with the now much recovered Krom in the recreation room you take stock.
Chronometer(Date&Time): 07:00 @ 2236-10-03
Only the recreation, which is completely isolated form the rest of the ship systems, still holds the virus room which is now acting as archive and investigation center for the last 6 weeks. Other than that you find you are unable to access the captains and officers quarters. Both the starboard cargo bay doors and air locks have been patched to cover forced entry breaches and will requires extensive metal work, mechanical repair, and electronic replacements before either will work. The shuttlebay is empty and shows signs of some tampering on the doors and egress, which you figure was used to access the area then leave the ship without the captains permission.
Though the ship has no real internal sensors save the cameras, microphones, and motion, and other basic sensors in the public areas and at key point, Alandra is now able to tie those in with the life support sensors and has been able to determine that the only other life sign is actually coming from the captains room. The life signs are odd and is is suspected that the captain is in a personal stasis chamber similar to the emergency capsules several of you were in.
Double checking to make sure the recreation room is isolated from the rest of the ship she goes to tackle the last of the virus.
She takes her time preparing for the final area to get cleaned up. Then its breaking codes to get into the captains and officers quarters. The doors on the other hand will require a bit more work and she is not sure if she has parts on hand to fix those anyway.

Summary:
Tensions are high. A faction of the crew believes we should abandon ship and attempt to survive on a nearby habitable planet. A confrontation occurred, leading to a full-blown mutiny. The I ordered all loyal crew members to secure critical areas of the ship. We're running out of time and I won't let our discoveries and work fall to the wrong hands. If we can get the ship operational I am confident the last shot we got off disabled the pirate hyperdrive so they have to be stuck in system as we are.
Summary:
Systems are experiencing intermittent failures. Life support flickered twice today, and propulsion systems are lagging. We've traced the problem to a surge originating from the cargo bay, possibly related to the alien artifact. More diagnostics needed.

A good start, then the finding of that thing in cargo bay, then the pirate attack, then malfunctions, then the visions and mutiny, and finally collapse with mutineers escaping to nearby planet (while disabling everything they could).
We are VERY lucky to have survived. Seems to me, the cargo bay Thing made some allucinate, they started the mutiny following First Officer lead, and when they realized they couldn't get the ship they escaped in the shuttle and left us (captain's crew) to die in a disabled ship. And that ship we just met, was that same pirate ship we encounter before, eventually we could go hunt them if needed. Some new logs should be found at first officer's and captain's quarters, they could clarify the story.
Yes, as long as we don't know much about the mutiny itself, and our role in it (or against it), better to leave the captain as he is. Better yet, let's start with the first officer quarters.
But if Sam is already opening Captains quarters, there is a chance that the Captain is awake, and maybe even aggressive, so Stinger gets out his pistol (albeit, not aiming but the floor) just in case.
She lights up her shock staff, electricity arcs and cracks at it end.
"What's going on?, she says.
Sam is able to firewall but not clean the recreation rooms' entertainment system. Once the EWIS ai finished it's analysis of the virus you can scan the infected records. In the meantime with the firewall in place you it should be good enough to let Alandra shift through the jumble of logs manually or use a search algorithm to try and start sifting the records.
Heading to the captains quarters Sam is slightly surprised to find after factory security measures installed on both doors to the captain's suite. The only way in is physically breaching the doors. The tools in engineering will allow this. With Stingers help you fetch the tools and dig into the walls to force the doors open. Sam is confident she can get the doors open but is not fully aware as the captain's suites security measures are not on her own or the ship records so does not know how they system might react. It is obvious however that the rooms have their own life support and while they draw power from the ship they also have their own power reserves. The doors are not yet open as Alandra and Adonis halt the work before Sam finishes their attempts to force entry

Alandra, we should continue to make the ship fully operational. Now we have the 2 main quarters: captain's and first officer's closed, and the idea is to open them to reach their logs, any other items we me need, and eventually rescue the one person alive we haven't met yet: someone in the captain's quarters... the problem is that we don't know who is there, nor if he is friendly or aggresive... the pistol is just a safety measure, in case he attacks us, I really hope I don't need to use it.
Then he listens Adonis I think we should go fo the First Officer's Quarters first. But I was not leaving Sam alone opening this door.
"Thank the bright star that you're here." He said to them, and was taken to medical to get looked after, he lets them know about some of the basics of the weapon operations on the ship, but to get him if he is desperately needed.
"When I'm recovered, I would like to hear what you have all found so far about this ship and why we're here." He said to them, he then let the medical machines go to work on him.

There are a couple shelves of hardback books, ranging from textbooks, references, and some classics. The rest are smaller soft bound books and range from flirtatious and/or steamy romance novels to historical fiction, and current and historical science fiction. Not seeing anything of note he begins looking through the drawers.
The bedside drawers are simple and contain a variety of personal items, including a locket with a picture of a loved one, a small journal, some cosmetics, perfume, and pain killers.
Medicalbay
Alandra heads back to the medbay and checks on Krom. The computer and instruments are still analyzing the crystalin virus. However she does note that the environmental system has identified the CV is airborne. However will the ships logs still corrupted she only has hours worth of data so is unable to determine how long it will persist in air. By now Krom is doing much better and though still sore and tired Alandra deems him fit to move now if he feels the need.
Nice library! I'd love to come to read when we finish solving all this situation.
At the drawers, he puts in his bag both the locket and painkillers for more research later, and then picks up and reads the last pages of the journal... There may be more information on the mutiny, the thing in the cargo bay and the ship's state when we woke up.
Amanda can likely analyze the pain killers and Sams pulls out a sanner from one of her pockets and determines the locket to be simple jewelry with a picture of the same person in the table top picture frame. The journal contains notes and you start to read more on detail...

However without a key accessing them is impossible. The desk access is restrictions/encryptions can be removed by electronic, biometric, or password keys.
Others search the room and find that when one of the closets is opened there is another door with a sophisticated lock that has been added behind the first. Sam is getting annoyed at all these aftermarket modifications to the ship and wonders just how much effort was put into this mission that was supposed to be a simple trial run of a new ship design with some basic exploration. The locked cabinet within the closet is anchored to the walls and built of high durability materials and the door and lock are very sophisticated.

Adonis reports that the ships EW systems have finished updating and starting scanning all existing systems and firewalled all personal devices until they can be scanned and have their own firewalls and EW suites updated as well. He helps Alandra set the parameters for scanning and recovering data from the backup you stored in the recreation room systems. While doing this he recovers a record of a detected distress signal. Krom is now feeling much better and helps check the logs for the tactical system as he is the most familiar familiar with them and is able to recover additional information about the attack.
Summary:
We intercepted a distress signal from an unknown vessel. The message is garbled, but we can make out coordinates and a plea for help. The signal is originating from deep within the Omega Nebula, a region known for its hazardous conditions. Proceeding with caution.
Summary:
We were ambushed upon arrival at the distress signal coordinates. Unknown hostiles disabled our engines and boarded the ship. We managed to repel them, but not without casualties. Several systems are offline, and the artifact is missing.
With all the ships systems now online and having had a good nights rest you gather in the galley to talk over breakfast. The ship has been fully explored save the captains quarters and all major systems are functioning within normal tolerances save the hyperdrive which is offline and thus prevents you from leaving the system via hyperspace. There are scrappers wandering the area and possibly the ship that attacked you, not to mention the other half of the crew that left with the shuttle and from what you can tell took it to the first planet, which is the only one with decent temperatures and atmosphere, though the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th all show signs of likely having been life bearing at some point in the past. You are currently in orbit of the 7th planet, the only gas giant and through your cloaking technology is decent you likely only remain undiscovered due to your location, immobility, and low power inactivity.
While it can be left on it is much less effective without a crewman manning the station. Adonis can do this sometimes but still needs to recharge and repair each day.
After sleeping, he goes to the bridge for a quick check on the helm position (he doesn't like surprises over breakfast) and then he also gathers with the team on the galley to talk over breakfast.
"So anyone have any weird dreams last night, maybe a memory of the past that explains how we got here?" He asked the group as he ate.
Krom shudders as he recalls last night's dreams. Chaotic scene where the ship is under attack. Blurred figures move swiftly through the corridors, and alarms blare in the background. A strange glowing mass. And a frantic fight after being cut off from the captain and others before being shot and left for dead. Though he is uncertain he believes the dream was mixing memories of the assault when the artifact was lost and the mutiny.
Stinger have a vague impression of a mysterious, ancient ruin on an uninhabitable planet. The images he reals are of him working with others on the ship to make detailed scans of the planet, especially around the ruins. He does not think he went planet side but is confident that if the plant is in systems, as you all suspect this system is where it all happened, and that many scans were taken then perhaps recovering some of that data will be easier as there was so much of it.
"Really wish we had the real thing.", she mutters.
I'd feel more comfortable if we could run some scans of the planets of this system, probably they will shed some light on what information we are currently missing. Of course, we need to be sure nobody else is around following us.
We need to find out how much we have to trade or money we have to pay for things such as repairs from where we were boarded.
And, within the ship, there are still a few things to take care of: astrogation, long range comms, docking bay, cargo hold, recreation room computer, hyperdrive, and captain's suite. All while keeping the protection online.
With Krom here and healthy, there is only one more person in the ship, in the captain's suite. Since he is not getting out, nor we can trust him now, let's leave that tasks to the last.
Also, the logs seem to show a good deal of information on the mutiny, but not on the real reasons behind, right? Those seem incomplete, right?
Shall we divide us in teams or pairs to tackle the ships tasks?
Alandra takes a bite out of her toast.
I suggest Alandra and Sam go to the docking bays, you work great together and the artifact could be there. CZ530 and Krum, can you check the captain's suite and avoid any surprises?. And I can manage the bridge and cloaking devise while trying to fix the astrogation system. At the first sign of danger, anyone, please shout out and we all run to help, ok? Please, we all keep the comms open, and we all meet at the bridge when done to decide together the next steps, maybe long range Comms and sensors to scan the planets... That makes sense?
When he snapped back to reality, he caught that he and CZ530 should check the captain's suite. He nodded.
"Alright then, since we're done here and our bellies have been filled, let's go and check out the captain's suite." He said as he got up from the sitting position and started to make his way down there.
Stinger gulps down the rest of his black coffee and heads to the bridge.
Once there he reports Stinger here, I'm already at the bridge, he checks the cloaking device, and runs a diagnosis on the Astrogation System.

Krom and CZ530 head to the captain's quarters and find the doors locked and a quick inspection reveals that the only thing that seems to be active at the doors is the intercom. Though the control panels have power the doors themselves are totally unresponsive. Sam's previous investigation indicated that there were some modifications to the captains' suite including enhanced security and it independant systems not tied to the rest of the ship.
Once at the bridge Stinger begins reconstructing the ships navigation logs. The virus did an annoyingly thorough job of scrambling the information and he can see that it will take some time for a clear picture to be created.
Sam and Alandra check both of the docking bays and other than the fact that one of them is damaged, but repairable with a couple hours work, find nothing of interest. The cargo hold, which spans all 3 decks, is largely unused. What you do find are scattered tools and crates and their contents tossed around. Though it looks like some effort to straighten the cargo hold was done at some point it was no organized and you find yourself digging through various items including rocks, dirt, sections of stonework, bio sample canisters and other miscellaneous scraps of things crushed or blasted by weapons fire.
He takes a break to drink some cool water and clear his head. Hi all, how are you doing he says by the Comms.

Alandra finds that most of the bio sample containers were ruined but some remain intact. The contents look to be a mix of standard samples that were exposed to alien environments, alien flora and fauna, and several fossilized and skeletal remains. As she examines the the skeletons she notices that all show signs of crystalline structures growing in, on, and through them. A quick scan indicates that the crystals are the same as the infection of the ship and crew but are inert. Placing the samples in the medical bay for future analysis she continues her work.
Sam on the other hand has confirmed that all of the maintenance drones are offline and likely scrapped. They would have been nice to help clean the cargo bay but Sam figures she used them in the fight with the mutineers. Inspecting the damaged cargo bay door she determines it will require a major overhaul. She might be able to get it to open but doubts it will seal properly until repaired at a repair dock and writes it off as best left closed and sealed for now.
Krom figures he can simply cut open the captains doors but that might get Sam mad at him. Forcing them open after cutting just the locking mechanism might also work. Other than that it would take more technical skill than Krom knows.
"What kind of thing attacks both live and dead matter? Also, why does it infect organic and inorganic neural pathways?", she thinks.
She coms CZ530, "CZ530, when you get a second. Could you cross check the anomalies in the computer system with the new information I put into the med bay computer. Maybe if we have both systems working on the problem of this virus together, we'll find an answer faster.
As you scour the ship for other anomalies the signs of battle and hasty repair triggers memories the conflict that begin to sort themselves into two separate events. The first must have happened before the mutiny and you recall the ship being boarded by unknown assailants. The attackers were highly coordinated and used advanced technology to overwhelm the crew quickly. As you compare notes you readily identify that the assailants were focused on retrieving the artifact. Other than that they only spent time dealing with trained and or armed individuals. Though the crew fought valiantly the attackers managed to escape with it the artifact after wounding several of the crew. The mutiny was quicker but even more brutal, as evidenced by Krom being left for dead and the drastic measures used to drive off the other crew members.
With the sweep complete you gather at the captains doors to open them by skill or force if needed.
After the general inspection we gathered in front of the captain's doors Ok, let's get this over with. Pistols at ready, just in case. Sam, would you be kind and open the doors please?

Though the systems do not have a full copy of the ships logs it does have the captains as well as a few key items. With this you should be able to speed and improve the reconstruction of the other corrupted ship logs.

I feel we should get the ship in the best conditions possible and then venture to these planets. There are 8 planets in this system, and in one of those the rest of the crew may still be alive. Also, those pirates may attack us if we are not prepared to fight back.
What do you want to do?
First of all the pod is relaxing to much sedative to keep the captain unconscious. Checking the setting she and Sam created to bypass the problems controlling the pod she verifies that it as all correct. But for some reason the captains body is cleaning itself of the sedative faster than it should.
The second issue is that while the sensors and diagnostics systems of the pod are operating normally the control systems are being actively changed or removed. She isn't sure his long the jack will keep the captain sedated but whatever is making the changes hasn't targeted the modifications Sam made yet. Pointing this out to Sam a quick check reveals the system changes are moving down the controls from this with the highest lethality to least. It is as if something is trying to ensure the captain will not die or be killed.
Avro accompanies Alandra back to the med bay. With the captains quarters isolated from the rest of the ship Sam can either run a cable to hook into the cryo-pod holding the captain or spend more time reconnecting captains systems back into the ship. In the meantime with a decent amount of data transferred from the cryo-pod to her PDA Alandra is able to have the med bad begin analyzing it as she does a full work up on Avro. You are b bit surprised to learn that while Avro's core shows similar signs of infection from the crystalline pathogen it is almost entirely clear of it now. Checking herself as well Alandra learns her system is similarly clearing up from the infection. However the medbay computers confirm that the captain is heavily infected. The infection has saturated his system to the point that is is now visible to the naked eye. The captain was not being changed and indeed it looks as if the infection was interleaving itself with all the captains organs, bones, and other systems. Unsure what this means Alandra will need to study more.
As Avro watches and learns more about the ships situation she ponders before deciding to tackle the task of aiding the ship systems in reconstructing and reorganizing the ship logs. Learning of the electronic virus that had infected the ship she first ensures her system has an updated firewall and anti-virus database from the ship before plugging in and getting to work.
Sam ensures her and Alandras work will hold. Though not as accurate, with the pods controls being compromised, she ensures the sedative will be continually injected into the captain. However with the pod activating it's armor she will have to break in to refill the chemical reserves it carries or the sedative will run out in a day.

salvage ship - (scan:3d6, track:3d6, listen:3d6)
Stinger analyses the salvage ship's course. He wants to understand which area of the gas giant they have already checked visually. Stinger thinks that if we can move the ship, without risking being detected (under full cover of the cloaking system), to a position within the area they already checked... They will continue checking further away without going back. At least for a very long time.
Stinger checks his theory on the salvage ship movements log. If they have indeed been sweeping the area in an orderly fashion, Stinger plot different possible paths around the expected movements of the salvage ship, to avoid detection.
Edit: Since Stinger didn't really found anything clear on the salvage ship, he tries again.

Avro heads to the Rec Room with Krom and digs into the log helping tweak the reconstruction algorithm Sam set up. The two play catch up and read random logs to try and jog their memories while sorting through the ships logs. As far as they can tell the series of events went something like this See the TSO : Odyssey page Ship Log section for details. Let me know if you want more detail on any specific point.
1. Ship launch with crew records not listing Avro. As far as you can tell she was never listed on ship records and as she was found in the captain's quarters you assume she stayed in there? Avro has only vague memories of other portions of the ship and a good impression of the captain, but again without clear memories. There must have been a reason for her being hidden and isolated but this is still unclear.
2. Regular shake down of the new ship and crew activities proceeded for several days/weeks
3. The ship moved to fringe space and started a survey of the area
4. Anomalous readings were detected and tracing them lead to the artifact
5. The ship started experiencing minor malfunctions and people started having behavioral am memory issues. The first records of the crystalline were recorded
6. The distress beacon turned out to be a ploy to draw the Odyssey in and the ship was attacked and Artifact stolen
7. Attempting to flee the hyperdrive was activated after driving off the pirates. However this caused it to overload and scramble the records. Likely the pirates planted something in the ship's systems during the assault to do this.
8. Now in this unknown system the 1st officer lead a mutiny against the captain but was driven off and fled with the shuttle. The crew that stayed aboard were forced to stay in emergency pods as the environmental systems were compromised by the doctor to drive the mutinists away. As Krom was not in one of these he likely suffered from this and is why he had a harder time recovering and would have died was he not been so tough.
9. You all woke up with a massive memory gap and now need to find a way home.
Alandra works on the medical log and learns that this recent rediscovery may be key in putting past records together. With the understanding that the infection can rapidly spread through and/or leave a person's system some previous inconsistencies begin to make more sense and she is confident on her records recovery. A suspicion enters her mind and she sets up several tests and is slightly surprised by the results. The crystal infection does not move randomly as most virus and bacterial infections. Though it does tend to cluster on neural tissue, not that uncommon on certain types of infections, it does not react the same to all neural cells. Reviewing all the scans of the crew, before and after waking recently, she determines that the infection is moving in what can only be a deliberate way as if collectively conscious and searching for something. Using her portable scanners she begins sweeping various sections of the ship and remaining crew. Though the infection is still present everywhere a clear concentration can be seen in the captains quarters and scan over time show it to be moving to focus in the area.
Meanwhile Sam continues checking on the captains pod as the system appears to have an infection of some sort. A quick inspection reveals that the computer virus that infected the rest of the ship does not seem to be present, or at least not active. A full scan of the independent computer system in the captain's quarters would need to be run to ensure it is not there. As she is looking over the pod and other systems of the captains quarters she notices that some sections of the pods circuits are showing traces of crystallizing similar to the captain.
You all rest for the night.

Sam does a quick check, after noticing the earlier alterations to the ship, and verifies that the captains quarters are indeed currently physically and electronically isolated. Though the crystallization has definitely fulling "infected" the cryo pod and is slowly spreading to connected systems in the captain's quarters it will have a harder time spreading to the rest of the ship if it follows its current growth pattern of following circuits and cables. With a few tests Sam also confirms that she can clean off the crystallization but the process is tedious and she is uncertain if she can stay ahead of the whole thing. However if you can continue to direct it to one location she might be able to contain it and clear the rest fo the ship. The problem would be that the captains quarters are a bit big and even dumping the cryo pod would require cutting open the hull, though Sam knows exactly where she would need to cut to do so without affecting ship systems.

The Odyssey is finally ready for launch. The crew seems competent and eager. This mission could be the breakthrough we need. I've reviewed the coordinates and initial scans; everything points to something extraordinary out there. I'll need to keep the details under wraps until we're closer. No sense in getting anyone's hopes up prematurely.
2236-07-01
We've set a course for the uncharted sector. The crew is settling in well. I've noticed some tension among the ranks, but that’s to be expected on a long journey. I've been spending more time in my office, going over the data. The signals we're picking up are unlike anything I've ever seen.
2236-07-14
The artifact’s signal is growing stronger. It's almost like it's calling to us. I've ramped up our speed, but I need to keep this under control. The last thing we need is a ship-wide panic over something they don't understand. I've instructed the crew to maintain focus on their duties.
2236-07-23
We’ve encountered some strange energy fluctuations. The engineers are baffled, but I think it's linked to the artifact. I've ordered continuous scans and detailed logs. There’s something here, something big. I must keep the crew motivated, even if it means pushing them harder than usual.
2236-08-02
We've made contact with the artifact. It's more powerful than I could have imagined. The initial readings are off the charts. I've been spending almost all my time in the lab, studying it. There's a strange pull to it, a sense that it’s...alive? I need to stay focused.
2236-08-09
There was an incident today. The artifact emitted a burst of energy that nearly knocked out our systems. The crew is on edge, and I can see the doubt in their eyes. I must remain steadfast. This artifact is too important to abandon. We need to understand its full potential.
2236-08-17
We were attacked. The artifact is gone. They came out of nowhere, disabled our engines, and boarded us. We managed to get a shot off, but I'm not sure if it did any good. The ship is in disarray, and the crew is shaken. I must find a way to regain control and get that artifact back.
2236-08-18
I'm still injured. During the confrontation, I took a hit and it is much worse than I iniitally thought. The medical officer has done what she can, but I’m still in pain. I've decided to lock myself in my quarters for now, using the cryo-stasis pod to manage the injury. The ship’s systems are acting up, and I suspect sabotage. I need to figure out who I can trust.
2236-08-19
The situation is dire. The loss of the artifact has hit us hard, and the crew is starting to question my decisions. I've noticed a few key officers whispering among themselves. I need to keep a close eye on them. Trust is fragile right now, and we can't afford any more mistakes.
2236-08-21
Today is the day. I can feel it. The tensions have reached a boiling point, and I fear mutiny is imminent. I’ve taken steps to protect the ship and those still loyal to me. The life support systems are rigged to disable if it comes to that. I won’t let this ship fall into the wrong hands. Whatever happens, we must survive.
Sam check at the request of Alandra and Stinger and verifies that the pod is self sufficient enough to sustain the captain's life if ejected from the ship into any but the most hostile environments. Alandra works with her to wrig up remote telemetry and coms to the pod to allow the ship to monitor the captain if they decide to proceed with this plan. The crystal has continued to spread through the captain and circuitry of the pod. Unfortunately with this extensive growth Alandra is uncertain of any way to remove the crystal, reverse its growth, or redirect it. She can keep the captain alive and wake him up but that is all she is certain of.
Though Avro is not able able to get any concrete records on the artifact itself she is cobles together several logs that mention it.
Sensor Log: Unknown Energy Source Detected
Signal Origin: Sector X73 (Uncharted)
Energy Signature: Unique, high intensity, fluctuating
Captain's Log: Unknown Artifact
We’ve picked up an unusual energy signal from the uncharted sector and traced it to its origin. Preliminary scans suggest a crystalline object. The readings are unlike anything we’ve encountered before. I’ve ordered the object brought onboard for closer inspection. This could be the discovery of a lifetime.
Medical Log: Crew Symptoms
Multiple crew members have reported headaches, dizziness, and occasional disorientation. Initial examinations reveal no common medical cause. Symptoms began shortly after artifact was secured. Considering the possibility of an unknown pathogen or radiation. Further analysis required.
Engineering Log: System Anomalies
Since the artifact was brought on board, we've experienced minor but persistent system glitches. Diagnostics indicate fluctuations in power output and occasional sensor errors. Suspect the artifact may be interfering with ship’s electronics. Investigating possible solutions.
First Officer's Log (Elara Vraspe) Personal Log: Artifact Influence
The captain is obsessed with this artifact. It's affecting his judgment. The crew is on edge, and I’ve noticed a rise in unusual behavior and symptoms. We need to address this before it escalates. I’m beginning to question the captain's decisions more each day.
Crew Member's Log (Adonis, Comms Tech) Personal Log: Artifact Effects
I’m not sure what’s happening, but ever since we found that artifact, things have been off. I’ve had strange dreams, and it’s like I’m hearing whispers in my head. I haven’t told anyone yet, but I’m starting to worry it’s affecting my work. I need to figure this out.
Science Log: Artifact Analysis
The artifact exhibits properties of a crystalline entity with psionic capabilities. Preliminary tests show it can interact with biological, mechanical, and electrical systems. Further study is required to understand its full potential and the risks involved.
Engineering Log: Power Fluctuations
Artifact interference is becoming more pronounced. Power surges and fluctuations are increasing in frequency. Suggest isolating the artifact or shielding sensitive systems to prevent further disruptions. Crew is growing increasingly uneasy.
Medical Log: Cognitive Symptoms
Reports of memory lapses and confusion are rising. Initial scans show abnormal neural activity in affected crew members. Correlation with artifact presence is strong. Urgent need for containment and further medical assessment.
Security Log: Unusual Behavior
Several crew members have been reported for erratic behavior. Increased aggression, paranoia, and confusion noted. Security protocols updated to monitor potential threats. Suspect the artifact may be influencing crew psychology.
Captain's Log Personal Log: Artifact Progress
The artifact is incredible. Its power is beyond anything we’ve encountered. Despite some crew concerns, we must continue our research. This discovery could change everything. I will not let fear or doubt hinder our progress.
First Officer's Log (Elara Vraspe) Personal Log: Mutiny Plans
The situation is deteriorating. The artifact is causing more harm than good, and the captain refuses to see it. I’ve started gathering support among the crew. We need to take action before it’s too late. This ship’s future depends on it.
Less interested in the process of the ongoing investigation than the end result Krom heads to the bridge to help Stinger to reduce the tedium and strain of bridge watch so they can swap of as needed and consult each other should the need arise. Unfortunately there seems to be little to do at this stage as Stinger has put them well away from any detected nearby ships. Together Stinger and the security officer find a suitable site for the work on one of the outer moons. Its low gravity will make any work on the ship and extracting the pod simpler. Plotting a route to avoid detection they bring the Odyssey into orbit of the small and baren moon.

How do you want to remove the crystal to sever the cables connections between the ship and pod?
Energy based tools, Physical tools, chemical, other?
The sedatives worked on the captain. At this time you have not had any success controlling the crystal other that total isolation from its spores. But you have not tried acting on its larger structures directly.
Let me know if you would preferer to move past small issue that will eventually be overcome or if you want to walk through those scenes/actions.
In the moons reduced gravity, and with the ships artificial gravity temporarily disabled, you quickly move the pod outside the ship and set it to revive him. After finalizing the arrangements you start the process as you monitor him remotely. Let me know your arrangements. Pod location, anyone near it, does the ship stay on the moon or go back to orbit, etc...
As the sedative is stopped the captains vitals quickly raise though not quite to full active levels normal for a human except his neural activity which is actually much higher than normal. The ship is linked to the pod so you can call and are certain he will hear but you will be unable to activate the microphone or cameras remotely as the circuits that control those functions had already been covered by the crystals growth.

It seems that in the solid but spread out state it is much more vulnerable than when airborn or when it was massed together as a high density form, like the artifact. Several means are found to remove the crystal however this seems to more often than not just convert it to its airborne powder/pathogen state. The crystal power/spores are so fine that none of the filters on board can completely remove them but now that Alandra has been able to isolate it the life support sensors at least identify it.
If the captain is returned to the ship and drawn all the spores into his quarters they can be sealed and isolated. Sam figures a few extra sensors installed at all the points where the quarters have access, doors, conduit holes, and access panels, should alert you to any grown outside of the sealed area.

Stinger will wait for everyone to meet there (or join through Comms)...
A brief summary: We have now control of most of the ship, a lot more understanding of this crystal thing, and Mr. Thrace conscious enough, albeit he can't get off the pod, nor fully serve again as captain.
What we don't have yet: Full control of the ship since longe-range scans, the docking bay, the cargo hold and the recreation room aren't yet fully operational. Also, we don't understand nor control the artifact. And, we lack any significant knowledge on those pirates and of the mutineers.
Some ideas about our options: Since facing the pirates or the mutineers may risk battle, I suggest we try to get the ship fully operational beforehand. Also, flying around, looking for the Artifact, may allow the pirates to find us.
My suggestion: Let's try to get the ship fully operational, and battle ready first. Secondly, we go and confront those pirates, hopefully they will run and stop looking for us, so we get that threat away. Finally, we look for the artifact and then the mutineers... what do you think?
Although I, still have many blanks in my memory, I feel I was part of the recreation room staff. I can start there or lend a hand to any of you if other systems are of higher priority? maybe weapons and tactical... a lot of the recreation programs lean into combat simulations so thee might be some automation I can code for us...
Avro pauses, then adds: If we are not acknowledging the Captains official capacity, shouldn't we set up some sort of temporary chain of command? I mean now that most of the immediate danger has passed...
"I agree with Stinger, it would be best for us to have this ship fully operational before we even attempt to venture out, and engage with pirates. We need to make sure that we have weapons operational, that we have proper defenses and to take full inventory of weapons that we have on the ship in case our weapons fail and they want to invade our ship." He suggested.
The rest of you have enough skill yo attempt repairs on the damaged Docking Bay. The damaged cargo door is too massive to rework. The only way you can access it is to ensure it is porpperly sealed and anchored then cut an hole to intall a smaller door.
Let me know what you are spending your time on and add Test rolls for repairs or other activities. I will post a rough repair timeline later tonight but as i recall I said all remaining work would take multile days.
Repairing the bad Docking bay door will required 2-5 days
Retrofitting the Cargo door will take 3-10 days
Remember you still have 1 working Docking bay and 1 working Cargo door
After listening to Avro and Alandra, about a chain of command... Stinger is surprised by Alandra's nomination since he has never been captain before. When he recovers...
I didn't really thought about a chain of command before...
Of course, I'm honored that you trust me. I have never been acting captain before, but if you all want or support it, I'll do my best while I'm needed as such.
Alandra for her part sets up several sensors to monitors the captain and continues researching the crystalline lifeform of the artifact. You are all glad to learn that your assumption was correct and returning the captains and the pod to the ship caused all the spores throughout the ship to become concentrated inside the captains quarters. Alandra informs the others that the crystal seems intent on reconnecting the pod to other nearby systems by sending out thin tendrils. So far this is limited to nearby systems in the captains bedchamber and Alandra is meticulous in her monitoring to ensure the crystal growth does not extend outside the captains quarters.
Over the days you begin filling in blanks in your memories and are all feeling much more whole. You fall into a steady rhythm as the work progresses over the days.

Hello all, great job with the reparations!
Sam, if you further aide, please do let us know. The hyperdrive is the priority now.
Alandra, I went through the records about the Artifact and they mention that it seems to be a 'crystalline entity with psionic capabilities'. Which matches what the captain told us and complements that he mentioned that he was becoming some kind of medium for communication with us. Now, I'm worried that we don't yet know the intention of this entity, nor it's name or origin. And we also don't know if all the psychic mess it created when found could happen again, and I really don't want to risk it again. You have been working on the captain and the captain's pod most. Do you have an opinion on these topics? Is it safe to speak with the captain to ask for more details on them?
Krom, you are the weapon's expert. Have you being able to assess the fighting capabilities of those pirates? I mean, since we will eventually need to come out of hiding, I think it would be great if we had a proper comparison between their forces and ours. If we eventually want to examine the planets of this system, we will need time and calm to do that. And that means not staying hidden. Right?
