Grim surveys the area and buildings.I think the large squat building looks interesting. Probably more likely where the officers would have hung out. Maybe there?

Adventuring Kurt leads off toward the large building in search of needed keys. Kurt has a lite torch and handy warhammer in his hands.

Kurt leads the way to the larger if the two buildings. Big double doors resist for a moment before old rusty hinges scream and crack sending the doors swinging open. The doors fall at your feet in a crash of dust and bits of straw.

In the dim light filtering through cracks in wooden shuttered windows and the light of your torch you see before you Lightning Keeps stables.

Onward looking Kurt mentions, "No keys in there. Just rats probably. Let's check the other building." and he leads off to it.

I keep careful watch over the party to ensure nothing emerges from the stables that could be a problem.

The second building you approach is about 1/3 the size of the stable. It too is only one story with a peaked roof and stone walls. The single door that you have seen faces west and you have seen at least one window facing north. As the group approaches all seems still in the courtyard.

Rangrim with your passive perception, and Erani with your vantage point you both notice 1 or 2 rats scurry from the approaching group. Erani you see where they go, the small shed like building.

Erani sees nothing more, but Rangrim sees one of the rats is slower than the others but can’t tell why it took longer to disappear around the corner of the building the group is headed toward.

Grim watching the rats comments Did you all see those two rats? One seemed really slow for some reason. They went to the shed.

Question: is the door to the building the shed in question that the rats went to? Otherwise, am I to expect a rat nest?
Edit: Some prepared Oil might be nice if that is the rat's nest. (Which Kurt doesn't have.)
