Before Lightning Keep

I will fly to where I can get a good view of the path from the gate to the building and watch over the group.

With the bird's eye view and the groups eyes you see well, even in the storm. It is only about 30 feet from the front gate to what looks to be the main entrance of the keep.

Erani can see that off to your left there are stairs that go up to meet the wall. You can also see that there is a door at that point.

There may be other doors that you have not seen, but you don’t know.

Where do you go?

I will circle the building from the air to see if there are other doors.

Erani circles the building,
then circles back to the group.

I'll relate what I've seen to the rest of the group so they can decide on a course of action.

"There is another, similar door on the North side."

Kurt heads the main door and not the stairs ones and checks to see if it looks to be locked or not.

Kurt the door is locked.

Quick Kurt ponders a moment decides to attempt unlock the door with the key found.

Kurt turns the key in the lock, there is a click, and the door is unlocked.

Grim rub his hands together. "Here we go. I guess we must leave the cleansing rains of Talos."

Active Kurt says, "We shall see." He opens the door with his lite torch for light and his Halberd in the other ready for action.

I will get behind the party and hover at 10' so I can cover them as they open the door.

The large wooden double door swings open to reveal a very long hallway. The Hall is about 10 feet wide and 40 feet long. You can just make out in the torchlight that the hallway ends at a stone wall and a right and a left turn.

There are 2 doorways to your left and 1 to your right. All have closed wooden doors. The left are closer to this end of the hall and the door on the right is about midway.

This dusty hall is empty except for cobwebs and a few moth eaten tapestries. There are no rugs on the floor but the stone, though covered in dust, was obviously well masoned as it is smooth and even beneath your feet.

What do you do?

After looking over the place, "lets check all this out before we try those passageways at the end of the hall." Kurt leads the way to the single door on the right.

I position myself to cover Kurt, while keeping an eye on the end of the hallway.
