"That was every bit as terrible as I assumed it would be," Adran comments as he stands, hesitantly eating his rations (even after prolific cleaning of the area). "With luck, we will never do anything like this ever again. Ever."

"Oh!" The bard looks down at her leather breastplate and back up to the elf. "To be honest, I’m not entirely certain. But I believe those spirits we encountered in our confrontation with the drow were not willing supporters of theirs. I lashed out at one in defense but when it began to lose tether to our plane, it whispered a thank you and came towards me. There was a rush of cold energy, then warmth, as it faded away embracing me. Ever since, my bodice has felt a little more sturdy than when I first obtained it."

Spontaneous enchantments... Probably my brothers department. Or a wizards
She wonders if it's a clerics department and if so,what the consequences are
Treat that armor with respect, and keep fighting the good fight. I think it will do right by you then

The bard smiles warmly and hugs her arms around herself. "I wish we could have helped the others too … though I feel as though that was not the last time our paths will cross that group. I hope some of those other spirits may find peace. With our aid or otherwise."

Morik thanked Adran properly once he was back to his dwarven form, all nice and clean. He walked over to Elowin and Ishi, who looked like they'd taken a beating, and offered them some Goodberries. He also petted Adran's new metal dog who was battered as well, but alas, Goodberries would do nothing for it.
OOC:
Well, that was a nice roll, but let's say there are 9 Goodberries leftover, since I mentioned feeding some to Jeffery already. Morik also cast another batch, so 19 Goodberries total for Ishi and Elowin to distribute.

I just realized that Zin does not have rations in her pack. Should I add them as part of my bolt purchase or bum off other people until we get back above the ground?

Elowin eats the goodberry and suddenly remembers that she has some similar berries in her pack.

Such a gentleman!

But for reals, thank you. She is deeply grateful.

Once she’s done sorting through everything she’s going to, she joins the conversation silently, content to finish centering herself back in the moment. "I agree Zin, stay honorable in your fight and that armor will serve you well. If it ever does though, I’ll shred it to pieces for you."

Looking to the elf, she says, attempting to continue conversation, "I am quite pleasantly surprised to see yourself and your brother get along so well. A woman of religion and a man of machine, the two often don’t see eye to eye."

One elf smiles to the other. It helps that we grew up together in a lone temple. He did his first artificing on a temple defender. You know the golems.

Her eyebrows raise slightly before smiling. "I'm sure relying on one another did help. I know it helped me and my sibling to form an unbreakable bond." Looking at Adran, she says, "Using a golem as your first tinkering project is impressive and amusing."

Adran smiles to himself and then looks over. "Small family. We didn't really have anyone else. It breeds a certain closeness, even when you have differences. Her faith has made her a better, stronger woman. I can respect that, even if I don't share her path through life."

FYI: Eozindra's Song of Rest provides one die for each PC to roll per rest, not per hit die spent. Let's take the 5 you rolled with the first 1d6 - the higher result - and drop the 4 you rolled with the second 1d6, for a total HP regained of 19 (8 + 11)...which is still full health for Ishi.

Adran got lost in thought for a bit before continuing. "I'm the reason the temple didn't have a defender for... well, longer than I'd care to admit. Taking things apart is easy. It's putting things together that is a challenge... one it took me a while to get a handle on. Although, before we left Mara I made sure the guardian was working properly."

He shakes his head. "It hasn't been that long since we left, but it feels like that town was a lifetime ago. Amazing how much -- and how quickly -- things can change."

His eyes drift a bit, and fall on his newest companion. "Yes... I shall name you Mara. To remind myself of where we came from, our beginnings. And to remind myself of what can be achieved."

Sorry for the split post. I was stopping at a jobsite with horrible reception, so I made the first post while I could so as not to lose it. I was then going to just edit it, but as a post had happened after mine I made a "part two."

After their rest, the party packs up again. Eozindra consults the map and the group sets out, falling back into their established marching order (unless you tell me it's changed): Ishi and Elowin in front, Eozindra and Adran walking together in the middle, and Morik accompanying Elysia at the back. There are a couple of intersections, but each time the direction indicated by the map corresponds pretty closely to one of the passages. The tunnels have narrowed further, and the stonework is even older, but for all that, this stretch of the sewers are well-maintained.

But after an hour, the party has become accustomed to Eozindra's perfume, and they begin to notice an odd odor underlying the thick smells of the sewer. In addition, you spot that there are strange, dry slips underfoot, like scraps of oil paper or empty bits of sausage casing on the ground. Each PC who cares to can take a moment to evaluate all this by rolling a WIS (Nature) check...and let me know if you kindle a light to assist you in examining these things.

Adran will take a moment to recite a brief mantra to focus his mind and then inspect what they're walking on (albeit with his usual darkvision) and taking a dagger to poke at and lift a piece of this... sheathing, perhaps? Hmm...

Elowin is used to her superior night vision, perhaps a bit smug in the knowledge, that the twilight sight is so much better, that she doesn't considerate using normal light.
