"Huh. Far be it for me to complain about a fight ending before it barely started," Chigaru grumbles, his voice loud in the rocky tunnels. "Where to next? I believe this southern passage loops around and may be the quickest to explore. Make sure nothing is coming behind us as well."

"I agree, but then we should check the passage leading from the room (red). It may lead us to the source of those creatures."

Wess replies "You want to find more of these creatures?! Hahaha, lets head south then, before heading i.to the potential hornet's nest. Big ugly hornets."

Grim initially agrees with Saldrina, especially seeing as they're already there, but then sees her head atwain in two and decides against speaking up. Maybe best to not make decisions while in this state. Shaking his head again, "Wherever you think is best."

The tunnel widens here into what appears to have once been a small shrine, for to the northeast, steps lead up to a platform of gray stone. Sitting atop the platform is an ancient altar, little more than a jagged block of black marble with a shallow concavity on top of it. The basin is filled with filthy water.

To the south east stands double doors made of metal.

Chigaru leads the way this time, already being closest to the tunnels. He peers into the basin of dirty water. "I don't recommend drinking or washing with that." He continues to the double doors and inspects them for any markings or important features.

The doors are plain, without any notable markings. Looking it over you are fairly certain that there is no traps on it. Though being heavy, you also think it would be hard to open them without making a lot of noise.

Wess chuckles at Chigaru's remark about the water. He looks to the doors. "Well, should we see if these doors will budge?"

Khel waited at the back, wondering what would be present on the other side. He was not a man of strength, and there was no way he could budge such a huge door.

Li sheathed his katana and stood in a relaxed position - now that the monsters had stopped breathing - observing the actions of the strongest of his group. He considered himself more as nimble, than strong.

Grimwulf pushes the doors, and with a heavy creak they open a huge room that looks like nothing more than an immense underground cathedral. Stone doors stand to either side of the main entrance, but beyond this, the walls are carved with strange, spiky runes.

In the center of the room is a large pool with a ring of polished human skulls balanced on stone spikes arranged in a circle around the deeper midsection.

At the far end of the room, a pair of stone stairways leads up to a pulpit on which sits a second pool, this one triangular and filled with churning, bubbling water that looks almost like translucent lava. Yet while wisps of what look like heat and steam rise from the strange orange liquid, the room is deathly cold.

At the edge of the second pool a creature flies by flapping wings. It is small, at most a foot and half tall. It shrieks at you. "Who dares intrude upon the Mother's sanctum."

It slashes at its own wrist with her dagger, and you see blood flow into the pool of water. As she does before you have time to react, four of the creatures you've fought so far crawl out of it. As they crawl out, you notice the liquid in the pool glowing diminishes.
OOC:
Will draw action cards and update with turn order. The creature is very small, so any attack to target it receives -4. It's about 9 inches of movement to get to the top of the stairs from Grimwulf's position. And around 12 inches from the back row with regards to ranged attacks.

Edit: Well. You drew another Joker, gaining each of you another bennie. Group A can act first (Khel and Chigaru), and Khel gets a +2 to trait rolls this round.

Khel walked inside the room and watched as new sinspawns were created by this weird flying creature. Khel pointed his staff at the creature as the tip of it started to freeze into a sharp icicle. He then shot it towards the creature, hoping to wound it with the ice bolt.
OOC:
Spending 3 powerpoint to cast bolt with damage modifier. Also, since I get the another benny, spending it to restore 5 powerpoint. Staff gives +1 to spellcasting, joker gives +2. So, I take -1 to my spellcasting roll. Damn, rerolling because it is evocation. Spending benny to reroll damage. Spending second benny to reroll again.

Chigaru rushes in along the northern side of the pool. He slides out a shuriken and flings it at the little creature, hopefully drawing its attention if not at least hitting it.

The creature is hit by Khel’s ice attack, but it seems ice has a limited effect on him.

Chigaru rushes into the room and slings a shuriken at it, but it goes wide, hitting the wall behind him.

The creature says some words in a strange language and light shoots out engulfing Chigaru. Then the creature says some more wounds and disappears from all of your visions. You can see a vague blur of it flying away from its previous position.

Then the sinspawns surges forward. Two of them reaching Chigaru, the other two moving towards the door. The first sinspawn attacking Chigaru misses, but the other one is able to get a claw across his chest.
OOC:
The creature takes 1 wound, but spends a bennie to Soak.

It also spends a bennie to reroll its Spellcasting roll vs Chigaru. Chigaru need to make a Vigor roll to avoid Stunned.

The second Sinspawn is able to Shake you, but if you are Stunned his hit turns into a raise and you take 1 wound.

From her position near the rear of the party, Sladrina has limited scope and limited options, but... calling on her powers over the elements, she condensates the air within the room to create a fine mist. Not enough to obscure vision, but hopefully enough to make the outline of the imp visible.
